hi i was thinking into going to school for auto body repair.. i just wanted some advice from someone in this field.... is it a good job as in pay and as in the nature of the job? whats the hardest part of it?(matching color?)
my dad does this as a living and he makes good money but hes been doing this since he was 11 (over 30 yrs) your pay depends on experience as well as where you work. He said "pulling" is very tedious
prepping the car is 90 % of the work so u better like sanding and body filling. other then that jst make sure u apply the paint evenly and proprly do any other finicky work you encounter. try googling it and youtubeing it .
^^^ hes got it. hardest part is prepping, painting is easy and doesnt take long at all. its a pain to get in the tiny cracks though unless you use a sandblaster.
