They have more bowl wins, yes, but most of those are like sun bowls and music city bowls so who cares? The whole egg bowl series: most of their wins were in the 50s and 60s. MSU has better undergraduate programs pretty much across the board. Your math and science programs are a joke, and the MSU business college has overtaken UM in the last decade or so. I'd be willing to bet that statistics would prove your law school is populated by criminal justice majors from MSU. Seeing how MSU has the only Biomedical Engineering program in the state, not to mention one of the best in the country, suggests that your med school is populated by them as well.

What do you mean "Your... programs"-- I am an Alabama graduate. MSU was founded as an agricultural and mechanical college-- hence it will be strong in 'applied" fields, eg engineering, vet science, probaly mathematic because of the engineering emphasis. But being the land grant university, THE University of Mississippi-- Ole Miss provides "higher education" ( not poultry science)-- the humanities, arts and sciences, law , medicine, philosphy etc.
