smart enough to know how to make a HAARP, should be smart enough to know Japan is our partner in trade & that the U.S. economy will crash, if the Japanese economy crashes, because lots of U.S. businesses have Japanese consumers. Economic crash cuts jobs & business profits, which increases crime, which increases the chances of rich people from dying from robbery.

Very funny but untrue. There are earthquakes still occuring in Asia, although much smaller in intensity.

I've heard some theories about solar flares and an overall change in the earth's magnetosphere, which is far more plausible than radio waves bouncing off the ionosphere and pin-pointing locations for earthquake activity.
