@azcachick Personally I think they've differed from them enough to pull it off. I mean, at this rate (12 episodes a year) they're never going to be able to make 11+ seasons to match the books, so I dig the rate at which they're plowing ahead with the story.

In the show, however, it appears her grandmother's husband aka her grandfather is the half-fairy. I remember in the first season Adele, Sookie's "Gran", said something about how her grandfather used to just know things, implying that he was also telepathic.

So now, they are collecting all the human/fairy people, like Sookie and Barry, so that there won't be anymore delicious half fairies on earth anymore and no more vampires can enter the fairy world.
Its because thats what the faries really look like, the dreams sookie had is a hullcination, its a trap. when sookie shocked queen mab she turned into her true self and was flung into the tree. then they were in the desert, where all the faries were there true selfs. sinister and badass thats what one of the producers said. but i dont know why they are so ugly. in the books there magnificent and beautiful... so...
So the beautiful world is all an illusion and a trap to repopulate! It looks like Claudine has remorse for lying to Sookie maybe she helps her escape? I wonder if their will be at least talk of Niall we're supposed to meet Claude I think. Thank goodness for those microwave fingers I would love to see them used on the witches!!
im assuming since sookie didnt eat the fruit the illusion the faires were under didnt work on her for long and maybe she chanelled power to shock the queen or maybe she is just that powerful she didnt fall for that faire bullshit for more than 6 minutes lol thank god cause shit like that can drag on forever.
When alan ball changes the story line i usally think that it is a inprovement to the books but Claudines character isn't as crazy and fun as she is in the books and it just doesn't seem right

I don't like that Sookie (who is 1/8 fairy) is more powerful than fullblood fairies. She's getting awfully Mary Sue-ish.
They also cast to ordinary looking people to play fairies.

Season 1the show started off awesome! Vampires, small-town, hot girls, and nothing but cool plots. Now it turned into a bad episodes of "Charmed". I smell a series cancelation coming. BOOO!

@ST4YFLYx3 They're harvesting people coz ages ago vampires almost killed all the fairies because their blood was so yummy, so the fairies had to escape to this magical world to be safe.
But Bill drank so much of Sookie's blood that he managed to enter the fairy world which was bad for the fairies. So now, they are collecting all the human/fairy people, like Sookie and Barry, so that there won't be anymore delicious half fairies on earth anymore and no more vampires can enter the fairy world.

Its because thats what the faries really look like, the dreams sookie had is a hullcination, its a trap. when sookie shocked queen mab she turned into her true self and was flung into the tree. then they were in the desert, where all the faries were there true selfs. sinister and badass thats what one of the producers said. but i dont know why they are so ugly. in the books there magnificent and beautiful... so...
