DUDE! That blind is nicer than the house I lived in college. This simply sets the standard for a deer blind. I thought mine was nice but this is crazy (I got tired of hiding in the sticks and freezing my tush off). The only thing this needs is a.......uhmmm.......helicopter pad?
I love your stand, i've actually been debating on build a stand similar to this just to get my dad back out and hunting with me, he's older and cant handle the cold like he used too. My main concern is price, can u tell me how much it cost for all this and how long it took to assemble?
ok well i think ive seen about every tree house and deer stand blind video on here it seems and i remebering you commenting (its in the posts) you having 12 days to remove it or whatever somenoe complained about it.. I ended up building my own and got alot of ideas from yours and many others, thank you. You did a great job mine is nowhere near your quality stand and it angered me to read that you had to take it down and just wondered what ever came of it.
thats a good stand for spotting wardens as for shooting deer if you ask me its to high to shoot from anything 50 yards plus from the stand your shooting in to the tops of the tree's so if your planning to hit any deer 100 yards away good luck to yea
We love your stand!!! Do you have plans we could see or purchase?? It is exactly what we're looking for! You are the hunting king!! The neg comments are just jealous!!! lisa
@lisaholt3021 Well, thank you Lisa. I'd give you the plans but they're in my head. It's not a complicated structure. Basically a shed with extra windows on stilts. I did put a lot of teko's though (metal straps) and all screws and through bolts. Almost no nails. I figured it should be stronger that way. All materials from Home Depot. Not a big deal. Thanks again
@proline155 It's a lot more work and money than I thought it would be but I think it's worth it, at least it is to me. You probably won't be sorry if you go for it also.
this blind makes me ashamed to be a hunter.... i bet you're one of them faggots that pleasure hunts... do you even eat the meat?... i'd walk to the friggin store and buy a steak before i'd shoot a dam thing outta this... it's pitiful it really is
@IGO4MAKO1 haha nah dude i only shoot a 30-6,30/30, and a fred bear bow... and nah you seem to have it under control... hell you probably knit while ur in the tree house thing hell IDEK what to call that thing
very nice stand we have the same concept but only 21 feet in the air well its 21 feet to the floor plus six foot walls plus wat everr the roof is. Ours is 12x12 with a 4 ft deck on 3 sides check out bever creek lodge very shortly for updated pictures videos etc!
It might seem lazy at this point, but I must say I don't think any lazy people build these kinds of things. The nearest Home Depot was 36 miles away and the nearest electric was 2 miles away. But no offense taken as I am getting a little older and maybe I see myself getting lazy too.
The worst part about it was when I finally got a shot at a coyote (which I always wanted) I opted to just watch him for a while & then he just walked away.
@IGO4MAKO1 I only bow hunt but I think I could whack one from your nice stand. I live in Iowa and got a few coyotes and a couple bobcats on my trail camera. Good Luck ! !
Would like to offer a suggestion. You might want to consider Humphrey brand propane lights. They are known to be allot safer than kerosene. You do have a fire-extinguisher up there with you? Excellent carpentry skills seen throughout the camera tour. Thank you Sir, for sharing.
Thanks for your compliments. I will look into those lamps though I really don't use the kerosene for more than a few minutes. I usually get there not too long before sun up. Maybe 30 or 40 minutes.
thanks, we are still in the process of building the roof and railings....and such but everything ive listed is the plan....the water situation..is cured by a 300 watt solar panel on the roof with a thermo wire hanging in the water barel sort of like the wires you put around pipes to keep them from freezing, and if you look at the trees there are 3 of them therefore creating a triangle, that only moves as one solid unit.plus we have flex braces under the structure it has already withstood 65mph
we have the main floor with chairs and a card table and of course a cooler outside on the deck for beer...and then a top floor loft ubove us that sleeps 6..... anyway looks like you enjoy time away from the wife too....LOL
I know what you mean up here in nova scotia its usually between 0 and minus 10 during hunting season ..and if it rains its wicked ass cold ...so I def ..understand the comfort part...can't wait to use mine this season ....we are going a little overboard with it ,putting a old countertop propane stove i found and a 20 gallon drum of water on the roof and having gravity water to wash any dishes we have and have two car batteries being charged off a solar panel hooked to 12 volt camper bulbs.
I didn't think anybody would top mine so quickly, but it looks like you're doing just that. I love the log walls. My only concerns were the 20 gallon water tank freezing and breaking, also the trees blowing with the wind and damaging the structure. I'm sure you've got these worked out & I think it's looking great. Good luck with it & please get the finish video up ASAP. I'm dieing to see it done. Ed
sorry to hear that about the BD and the nosy *ucking neighbors. too bad you weren't there to SSS when they trespassed...that being said:
I really like what you did there, I envision something like that up on some property in the adirondacks....it gets so cold up there, it would be great to kick back with a few friends and 'hunt' deer out of a blind/stand such as yours. Like you said...you've been hunting the harder way up until now, why not relax a little here and there.
Thanks for the compliments. The only problem with hunting alone is staying awake. It is so peaceful & cozy there, especially after cooking a lunch and sitting in that chair, I have trouble just staying awake. I do love it though & look forward to being there every hunting day.
Thanks for the compliment, It took quite a while as I live a few states away. This is on some property I own in Massachusettes. You might not believe this but the building deptartment recently sent me a letter giving me 14 days to dismantle it. Aparrently some neighbor(s) tresspassed, saw it and don't approve. We bought the property to get away from the noseybodies here in LI.
well i'll tell ya thats awesome. the little extra features such as birch hand rails and the oak gun rack are just amazing! how long did it take you to build this stand?

@dreo0010 Sorry for the negative response. It's only that I recently received another letter from the building dept.
I thought all was OK but, it seems I may soon have more headaches. Thought you could have been my lovely neighbor. It's still there, thanks
