  • a tutti i non italiani VI ROMPIAMO IL CULO

    video idiota e senza senso

  • "Vivat"? o_0

  • @Kataskematico it's latin

  • @absurdious I know, but i don't understand why it's used here, it should be "viva" as in italian. Well, it's not a problem ^_^

  • I;m against stereotyping in general. It tells you a little bit of truth, so you'll always believe the lie, but this video is full of clips totally taken out of context. Does it ever occur to these people that the actions and mannerisms of the characters stem from the characters themselves and not from the fact that they are Italian Americans, although that is a part of their persona, but not necessarily the part where their actions come from?

  • this vid seems to be about Usa more than about Italy...

  • I agree with Videoatlas, every nation has it´s own silly stereotypes. I´m spanish and I know ours all arround the world; bullfighting, gypsies, flamenco singing and dancing, sexism, racism, untollerance with homosexuals, always trying to trick money on people (specially tourists)....and so on. Only the trully igorant people believes those stereotypes under all circumstances. If I was you Italians I wouldn´t take any care of that. Greetings from a mediterranean cousin.

  • hollywhat?? CINECITTA' MADE THE HISTORY OF CINEMA!! You just spoiled it...FREE TIBET

  • @uomodimerda Its called, ''Hollow-Wood''. Get it, Hollow in content and conviction? ''wood'', it means they will never understand because they are as dense as wood.

  • Everybody is victim of stereotypes, the americans too. But who cares? Stay with intelligent peoples and you will have only nice time.

Italia: pizza, pasta, mafia e mascalzoni.

  • @imvigaoftheworld e il mandolino

  • Vaffanculo! :) DO you understand ?

  • @wisewisegirl Vacci tu !!!!

  • American are racist, against italian, because we permit to be like this.

There are other groups that were verbally abused, that have learn to defense themselves, so the result is that: american cannnot say a single word anymore. Instead Italian, the great majority, is completly indifferent, no reaction.

Also my father in law (not italian) was racist like american do. Now that kwows Italy, he loves Italy so much that all the time speaks Italian, read Italian books, loves Italian art & cinema.

  • I am sorry that the American cinema in this way we picture, however, at the same time the American cinema has madehis fortune with the Italian stereotypes that only partly share. Invitation to all those who want to know the true Italian people, to go right here to see and understand.

  • is Tom sizemore at 2:50?

  • i laughed my ass off! ciao!

  • I'm a Italian boy and i think that is for this stereotypes that the Italians have a great sense of inferiority respect the other conuntries. I think that are some guy in America who think the Italians are worse that black and Jews. Let me tell you that we have invented the telephone, the radio comunications, the fork (wich you dont'use because you eat with your hand), and the Right (that you don't use in your court)!

  • oouu fucking americans! you have to study!!

  • Italian and proud beyond words

  • Italians = just chat and badge.

  • @psycopower90 We speak Italian is true, but you also fuck all the wives, you go through life trying to make money and we do seem to enjoy your wives insoddisfatte.non really know who's better between us ... :)

  • @psycopower90 shut the fuck up!

  • i say "pasta " to stereotypes....:-)

  • They make fun of any Europeans tgat have maintained The Faith. Case and point the Irish. The Polish the Italians.

  • @Danvislav Come in Italy and try to find faithful people...

  • @Marco7288RM Pardon me. Italian Americans are very nice and faithful people. I'm not sure about the ones in Italy. I have heard that Italians in Italy are "feccia" nowadays. I hope not. But it would explain their decline as a nation.

  • Not all italians are mobsters and whores. that's generalizing. We don't all have an attitude and a four letter vocabualry and eat our weight in pasta every night. What about Rudolph Valentino or Sophia Loren?

  • I am Slovene and I find this video very offending. You simply deleted our country. On the map there is Austria all over us.

  • @mrjan95 XD

  • @mrjan95 it's an old map asshole it's clear that your country is in the jugoslavian federation

  • @mrjan95 Probably both the map and the video are really old.

  • 31% of Hollywood's italians depicted as good? Not bad, I'm OK with being 1/3 good.

Now let's talk about how Hollywood treats latinos and asians.

  • se vabbè! in italy we got a problem with mafia and politicians for real im sorry to disappoint you!

  • Strange, bimbos are mostly americans or british...it looks like those people that hate italians have small penis...our roman ancestors were proud to have big penis...

  • Very good job! The second music theme was a little unfitting, nevertheless I've found this video impressive and kind, complimenti da Cesena :)

  • Comment removed

  • America, the most capitalistic city of every times! their political, sanitary, and monetary sistem is so bad!! they use a stereotypes about italians, and other country for distract the population from real problems of USA. I'm italian, and I really like america, but their something rotten in it.

  • mamma mia

    we are a good people

  • I'm Italian and I am sending you a fuck who you think you are !!!!?? rather than yours is a country with a century without progress you rather say these things to us instead of you think that you have a country full of obese. The only progress you have made is McDonald's all!

  • The guy that posted this found out his mom takes Italians from every position.

  • ITALIANS ARE THE BEST =D

  • Not so fast mr. Ginzo Pizzcuino It was Ancient Greece and Mesopotamia as the Cradle of Western Civilization.

  • @worldwildwest True but the Italians brought it to the world.

(if someone don't understand what I have write...find someone who speak italian).

  • Also, why Italians are all SO dark in Hollywood movies???

  • @Lilla88able Because your mamma likes darker men.

  • @rabbitphobia LOL I've nothing against "dark" or "black" men so, if you want to offend me it doesn't work you racist bastard

  • @Lilla88able Hey cum guzzler make sure you respond to the right person.

  • @rabbitphobia Yeah you're the right person you son of a Bitch stupid racist

  • @Lilla88able Your mothers a whore you ignorant crazy little turd.

  • @rabbitphobia Wooo It seems like you're SO upset for no reason I mean... Why? Have you a SMALL penis?? Mmm that's probably why you're racist against 'dark men' lol whatevs dude... I'm done with it. Unlike you, I've a social life so byyyyeee.

  • @Lilla88able oi cum guzzler I have a huge cock just ask your mother you racist Nazi fascist stop spreading your hate you just want to taint and spread like a cancer shame on you and your racist thoughts.

  • @rabbitphobia LOL are you confused now? YOU are the racist one here.... Anyway yeah I aked my mom and she told me that you have a SMALL penis. LOL

  • @Lilla88able yeah maybe so but what about the other five guys that were doing her? Maybe compared to them I am, otherwise I am above average size ask her again.

  • @rabbitphobia Small penis.

  • @Lilla88able Thats not what your mamma says besides from what I have heard anything under 10 inches you consider small penis, thats why having sex with you is like screwing a bucket full of warm water.

  • @rabbitphobia Stop prove me that you've a small penis! If no, then you wouldn't say those things to a GIRL so that's what I call frustration... And if you know that your penis is large then you wouldn't be so upset just because someone that you don't even know told you that you've a small one. So... Now I'm just sure, you definitely have a small penis.

  • @Lilla88able lol you really do amuse me, would you like to meet up to test your theory on what I am like?

  • Vivat Italia?

  • idioti stupidi stereotipi

  • best title ever for such kind of video

  • Ever since I noticed American movies usually stereotype Italians that way, I've felt like my intelligence was being insulted and I'm not even of Italian ancestry.

  • Fuck up Hollywood is not enough. Each and every one of Americans who has ever worked for Hollywood must be executed, irrespective of their genders, races or whether they're big movie stars or not.

    "Bla, bla, bla..."

Execution now, from the big movie stars...

    :-)

  • Big deal. if things are so bad in the US just go back to Italy.

Most other imigrants can't just go back to their old homeland to have a confortable life. Who would want to migrate to Somalia, Algeria, Vietnam or to a poor mexican village in somewhere in a desert far from big cities and law when they can live in the first world?

And it's not like italian americans can complain of racism now at days. Try being black, mexican or some third world citizen in the US. You wouldn't handle it.

  • @arthurude1 President of USA is black, what racism you talking bout?

  • Still 31% it's still better than what most of us get! Sadly enough.

  • @fjore77 PAROLE SANTE!!!!!!

  • Media created stereotypes encourage ignorants to form an opinion about others to prevent them from exploring further and using their own brains.

    Media thinks for them.

  • I have noticed too the will to create a particular perception of Italians by certain types of foreign media which hardly corresponds to reality. The tendency is to ridicule them but in fact they are amongst the best educated, the Italian education system is one of the best in the world which can't be said the same for the American one for example...

Lately in American films they always present crooks as Russian as if Russians are mainly crooks. Jewish media creates false perceptions of others.

  • @Semiramis2000 The previous government held by Berlusconi cut the spending on its public education justifying themselves as an approach to cut the country's deficit. The truth is, Italy has many corrupted politicans that earn so much money at its people's expense. It's foolish to cut down the spending by reducing the money spent on education; in the worst scenario, Italy will be full of retarded kids. Why do you think that Italians can't speak English and can't even solve simple maths problems?

  • @struzzobox By the way, I live in Milano, which is the richest and most developed Italian city. Education in this country lacks of fundings - see for instance countries like South Korea, Finland and Israel where they receive billions of USD just for the education. In those countries, students are fully trained to be the best at every subject, because those governments are aware that educations is a stepping stone for a bright future. Here in Italy, no one gives a shit about education.

  • @struzzobox The truth is corrupt politicians are everywhere. To think otherwise is to be naive. As for reducing cost of education, this is happening in many countries right now. As for retarded kids they already exist in many other countries right now. Italy will have them later as a result of the changes. That no one gives a shit about Education it is your very own personal opinion. Families have always tried to push education onto their kids one way or other.

  • Respond to this video... As for maths, 10% of the people working in the City of London's financial centre happen to be Italian. In the Italian school if you don't reach the level required, at the end of the scholastic year you have to repeat. In a European country, where I live, many children leave school with hardly any education at all, they barely know how to read and have never even studied grammar...

  • @Semiramis2000 10% happen to be graduated from British universities. Repeating in many countries is mandatory, Italy is too as you said. Nonetheless, many Italian kids (1 out 5) drop out of high school to go and work. What I am saying is nothing but the reality that Italians will face in the future. No education=less chance of pursuing a successfull career. hope it explained any issues

  • @struzzobox Ciao! The Italians that are working in the City are in Uk on contracts directly from Italy. A University course in Italy lasts 4 years in Uk only 3. Now that you have opened your eyes to what you think is the reality in Italy, you should open them about the reality in Britain. Uk is the country I was referring to. If grammar is not even included in the National Curriculum, how can they even learn to speak their own language properly, let alone a foreign one....

  • Respond to this video... Look at what is happening to education in Britain right now... There is a conspiracy against education right now as ignorants are easier to control and to deceive than educated people...

  • Have you ever seen a hollywood movie with a positive depiction of : Irish, Spanish, German, Belgian, Dutch, French, Greek, Czech, Austrian, Russian, Mongolian, Chinese, Japanese, Slovakian, Polish, Finnish, Danish, British, Scottish, Portuguese, Colombian, Peruvian, Australian, etc. people?? I haven't...Hollywood is sooooooooooooooooooooo full of itself and Americans, that they don't get it!! How can they, when they won't even recognize and mock the original inhabitants of their country??

  • I am Colombian and I visited italy... and this stereotypes are very American.... the people I saw back in italy are NOTHING like this.... in fact this type of HOLLY CANNOLI, BADDA BOOM BOOM HOW YA DOIN!!! is regarded as low class and american in italy. Real italians dont even like baseball but love soccer/football!! it's like hispanics, they think everyone who speak spanish is a mexican, in reality is different. America = ignorance

  • if you think Italy is a sunny country you probably have to visit my small town, Cremona, 90 km far from milan. It seems to be in london in winter from september to april.

  • @SilviaSkiSka And in Milan there's more rain than in London, beside the cold in the winter time in all Northern Italy!!!

I spent a whole year in London; to me their winter was a nice sunny autumn, it was funny how they expected me to be frizzing instead of FINE! And there were 5 only 5 days of nice and soft snow that melted instead of turning into ice as happens in Northern Italy...

I fould Londonìs weather really nice

  • @SilviaSkiSka Cremona??

    Concittadina!

  • Unfortunately Stereotypes hit all ethnic groups ... including US peoples :-)

  • the funny thing is that in Italian "guido" means "I drive"

  • I do really love this part: 1:36

  • TY for up

    Nice video!

    saluti dall'Italia! ^^

  • @youmarlinblutube ma hai guardato il video?! O_o

  • @LouiseHans10

    ma figurati :* ciauu

  • I heard foreign people say "italiani buona gente" pretty everywhere I went abroad. If this proverb exists, it must mean we did something right XD and we still do. we don't stink, we're not all into mafia, we CAN speak english, we could and can do things as well as others. stereotypes are dull, get to know us before u judge! and don't forget every country has something to be ashamed of or regarded as weird by others. if europe wants to stay united, we have to look past differences.

  • volete sentire a me? Andatevi a fare un panino farcito...

  • like it or not Italians invented a new way of life, worldwide!!

    BEAUTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    assholes...

Do you know what RINASCIMENTO is?

  • i don't believe videos produced by mafia

Baci a tutti

  • oh poor you!! Any italian american that i know loves mob movies and they act like wanna-be-sopranos. So shut the fuck up.

  • @Nicksmith1482

Are you sure they are Ital-am? I know in poor blocks in USA there many mixed-blood ppl uncertain re their roots and claim to be Italian to... dunno... be kinda cool?

Whereas in EU wherever I go I see Arabians showing off the Italian flag on Tshirts, hats... I think they wish to pass as Italian, I think they want to change the image of the Italians... I do not know...

Believe me, the world is plenty of FAKE Italians...

Even some comments on UTube: in Eng and google-translated Ital.

  • Comment removed

  • @LouiseHans10 They are Italian americans! Stop whining about the hollywood all good mob movies where directed by italians not from other nations. Goodfellas- Scorsese, Casino-Scorsese, Godfather- Coppola, The sopranos- David Chase! So stop the fucking whining!

  • @Nicksmith1482

It is just a matter of fact.

I'd never whine: wherever I go, when I say I'm Italian people say that I'm beautiful, and so my country, art, music, food...

I do not care what some poor guys invent or try desperately to convince: people who has got a brain knows Italy for what actually is.

  • @Nicksmith1482

all those you've mentioned are jews

If you give it two minutes' thought, you will realise that the mobster/mafia movies are based on the Sicilian mafia, which in fact is/was the jewish-Sicilian mafia in the same way the so-called 'Russian mafia' is in fact the Russian-jew mafia. To confirm this, do a little research to learn that at one point, 40 to 50 percent of Sicily was jewish. And you can find on Youtube that jews are encouraging a resurgence of Italian-jewry

  • This should be on PBS.

  • we are speking of a land of idiots as america.

  • I hate hollywood.

  • we are in 2011...i think u can find an updated map....yugoslavia doesn't exist anymore

  • @dantemutante What?! Are they okay?!

  • Hollywood is a jewish propaganda machinery. Blondes are depicted even worser than Italians.

  • So, basically, you resent being portrayed as Italians from the South, which is in itself also a prejudicial attitude because not all Southeners are mafiosi either. I have always thought it funny how Italians from the North consider themselves to be so different from the rest of Italy when in other parts of Europe they are seen as the same. I mean, look at Berlusconi: short, dark skinned, balding, extravagant, and some would say mafioso... He is from Milano, not Palermo...

  • Funny enough "Guido" is an Italian personal name of Germanic origin and the name of characters such as Guido Guinizzelli and Guido Cavalcanti, who are in that group of Italian poets who basically created the modern western literature.

  • 4:55 , what is the meaning of that image comparison?

  • @qiovanni Stereotyped black Americans (chubby faces of funny "niggers" with rhytm flowing through their veins) and stereotyped Italian Americans (fat dark skinned mafioso).

  • @saverioborghese

I dunno I only see 6 people, 3 with a hat on and 3 without

  • @qiovanni The ones without hat are from a series depicting the Italians as mobsters in instance.

  • @saverioborghese

I only see three men sitting at a table! if Italians were mobsters what is the problem in making movies about Italian mobsters? I don't understand. Italians made movies about the Mafia too, it doesn't mean that Italians are all mobsters, that is pretty obvious. Hollywood depicted SOME Italians for what they are, it isn't a work of fantasy! It's not like they're showing Italians landing on the moon or dancing Samba.

  • @qiovanni Anti Italianism is a widespread phenomenon in the US and several sociologists have shown that Hollywood has played a central role in it (many scientific researches and essays about do exist - but I thought some good sense could suffice). But, yes, maybe Hollywood is right, whereas good sense and sociology are wrong.

  • Hollywood didn't depict some Italian Mafiosi for what they actually are with realistic movies, but it has made a huge amount of totally unrealistic movies where totally IMAGINARY mobsters, bad tempered men, buffoons, etc are LABELLED AS ITALIANS. Didn't you read the STATISTICS the video shows? Don’t you notice an enormous GAP between what the Italians are (but also what they’ve been historically) and the way they’re depicted in the popular culture products from the US?

  • @saverioborghese

Italian mobsters are even worse than the ones depicted in Hollywood movies. I've never seen an Italian mobster melting a 10 y/o child in acid in a movie, but I did hear about it on the Italian news... anti-italianism is older than Hollywood, it was probably worse before. when the Italians arrived in America they were seen as aliens and now they are part of the society, more than they were before.

  • Singular isolated events are irrelevant to the issue, and the event you're referring to was shocking for the traditional Italian criminal cartels themselves, which historically have a code of honor differently from let's say.. the Mexican mobsters. But Sicilian mafia, Yakuza, Russian mafia, Chinese mafia, and so on apart.. psychos, mobsters, soldiers and terrorists from all over the world have made such actions.

  • The issue is the gap between those cinematographic depictions and facts or even the absence of any connection between those Hollywood depictions and the actual reality.

Why don't they defame any people from which some criminal was?

You have to stuck it in your head that the vast majority of the criminals in America are far from being of Italian ancestry, yet in Hollywood "Italian" means criminal. Is this fair?

  • And it seems that the Italians have done much more things in favor of the western civilizations rather than mobbing actions, after all..

Reality has really nothing to do with the way the American popular culture portray the Italians.

  • And I didn't say Hollywood created anti Italianism; I said it played an important role within the phenomenon.

In fact I've rather said the very few Italian mobsters are not depicted in such movies (that's would be acceptable), but thousands negative IMAGINARY infamous and defamatory characters who have nothing to do with any kind of Italian are labeled as Italians. In this way a whole nation is defamed to entertain the audience.

  • @saverioborghese

how about blowing an entire highway to kill the top antimafia judge? never seen that in a hollywood movie either.. you are too stressed about this. movies are made on Italian mobsters just because people like to watch mafia stories. do you want a movie on Italian plumbers or renaissance painters? who would go to watch it? try to reverse your point of view: maybe you are the one depicting Americans like a bunch of idiots who can't get things right...

  • Comment removed

  • @qiovanni You don’t get the point yet. Generally speaking they don't make movies on actual Italian mobsters in the same way they don't make movies on any kind of Italian. They have basically invented a cinematographic bad character and named it "the Italian" while defaming a whole nation.

This is something they inherited from some old British novel of low quality.

  • It has nothing to do with our mafia but rather with a certain Puritanism and anti-Renaissance aka anti-Modern mentality that started in England several centuries ago (see the saying "The English man Italianate is the Devil incarnate"). Mafia is just the easy thing Puritans have founded in the contemporary age to defame the Italians, but it could be anything else.

  • The averege American got used to that way to characterize the Italians invented by the Puritans so Hollywood gives the average American what the average American expects.

  • @saverioborghese

on top of that Americans usually make movies on Italo-Americans who at the end of the day are Americans. I am pretty sure Americans know how to portrait themselves. how about Rocky or Rambo then? aren't they American heroes? Americans are also well traveled, they visit Italy a lot more than Italians visit America. they study the art and explore the food in Italy.

  • @qiovanni Rocky is a lowlife hero in the end. The best Hollywood allows us to be.

But if you're trying to say that we have supporters in the USA, that's certainly true, but here the point is to oppose the haters. And Hollywood played an important role in brainwashing them.

  • @saverioborghese

    You're right, movies are a media-type, so it's a perfect brainwashing.

  • they are americans not italians...even though they have italian background...

  • well many of those movies that present stereotypes are made by Italian Americans: coppola, scorsese, palminteri

  • @indgiu

Not all Italian Americans are of Southern Italian or Sicilian background like the three men you mentioned. My paternal grandparents (and the ancestors of others in the Mississippi Delta) came from Ancona province northeast of Rome. Italian American culture as portrayed in "The Godfather", "Raging Bull", "Jersey Shore", etc. is totally alien to us. God bless.

  • @cbalducc Yeah, people always fail to see that. Italian Americans' ancestors were, for the most, from southern Italy so I understand Americans fail to understand Italy is a very diverse country with many differences from north to south. Not to mention the center part of Italy: we're like...well, never considered. I'm from Le Marche too, but from the province of Macerata. I wish my grandparents had moved to USA too, I've always envied Italian Americans (but in a good way). Greeting from Italy!

  • @cbalducc Actually that's completely alien to any Italian. All the Italians have always been badly protrayed in the anglophone world. The first Italians to reach Australia were from the north (Val Camonica in instance which is very close to Switzerland), yet they were characterized in the same bad ways the Usans would characterize the southerners. The Sicilians were just used to add the mafioso stereotype to the rest. With your Le Marche you're not going to get any better historically speaking.

  • @indgiu Also many of the actors playing in those movies are Italians of origin. What you have to get is that Hollywood doesn't allow to represent the Italians in any way but the stereotypical one. So, if you're an actor of Italian origin, you either represent the sterotypical Italian or you do not work. Also better if you happen to be particularly dark skinned, short and bold..

Give a look to the ethnical background of the actual film makers.

  • Bravo..i am Italian American from NY n I approve this message.great video.ha.~pace

  • eccellente!

  • It's true: Americans are mocking Italians in an unfair way. You should send the Mafia after them!
