@sawyerbobby Thats a myth. 5.7x28 are not AP. The Ap is restricted. FMJ ballistic tip and hp will not penetrate the crisat target. IMO the 5.7x28mm is a great reduced casualty round (it looses energy fast) cheap to reload, and high capacity with low recoil. While it isnt a .22, I would treat it as it was.

@sawyerbobby Most LE departments have trouble just getting AR-15s let alone PS90s. I wouldnt trust my life to a FiveseveN especially there, because encounters are close and its usually the first shot that decides who wins. Plus because of that, departments who did have P90s already traded it for something better :/ Millitary does not use the PS90 (except for SS, and I am not sure what they are classified as) but they can (sometimes?) use weapons picked up from whatever the OPFOR is.

I'm sure FN got a nice number of loyal customers after a lot of the bad press the anti gun lobby tried to pin on this weapon. I love mine for it's perfect ergonomics. It's currently employed by my brother as his self defense firearm. I want another one.

Nothing comes close to this tack driver.

@Reynard13Fuchs Perfect Ergonomics is your opinion only, this gun feels almost as bad as a Glock in my hand. I've heard that Hogue slip on grips help a lot but either way I plan on getting one when I hit 21 if HS Produkt doesn't make an XD in 5.7 x 28.

@FiveTwoSevenTHR It has been discussed years ago by people better paid and more informed than you; the issue with Glocks boils down to Shooter Stance. The Euro style was supportive of Glock Ergos and not to typical Western Stances.

What's the recoil like compared to a regular 9mm or 45ACP? I've held one before at the shop but haven't had a chance to fire it. I'm curious because the gun itself feels so light it is almost scary that it can be mistaken as a toy, and the round itself is so light, but the cartridge is more like a rifle.

@da1krayziethug When I bought mine, the guy behind the counter told me that it has superior terminal performance than 9x19mm and 20% less recoil. after I took it to the range, I found the claim to be true along with something else he said.

It's report is considerably louder and sharper than any other firearm I own, even over shadowing the report of my M44 Mosin Nagant.

The slide moves and returns to battery so fast that I hardly felt any muzzle flip or recoil.

@da1krayziethug A box of 500 was a little over 200 bucks in Central Florida, I'm now in SC and can't really find anything. But overall, the prices were about average by comparison to other calibers and bullet types.

I only shot SS195LF out of mine. It's the closest thing to the SS198 which is Mil and LE only (FN Policy, not Federal prohibitive law). The SS195LF has a JHP bullet, no markings. The SS197SR has a heavier weight bullet, shorter range, and questionable performance in my opinion.
