decent cover. you can fix that problem with the drums by first recording the bass line, then the drums, then the vocals, then lead guitar. the bass sets the time, the drums just set the style and volume. and since the bass has more of a musical line (this is a statment of fact and not a shot on drummers) they can put in the nuances that bands automatically put in on their own. that'll make it twice as good.
@3080cowboy lol i agree 100%, we actully now start off recording bass first, i always follow the bass wonderfully it sucks drumming to anything else, and if you notice most bands with amazing drummers normally always have amazing bass players (the who, primus and many more)
not a bad cover, not bad at all. To be a perfectionist the bass line seemed a tad bit off but I can never seem to nail the rhythm on the original record well anyway. Other than that great work!
It wasn't the bass. It was the drummer... trust me. When a drummer can't keep it consistent, the bass fails. They rely on one another, but the drums have to keep it together.
@uglyzombie this is true but we didn't record us playing at the same time, we recorded one instrument at a time then mixed them, (me being the drummer) i recorded drums first with no other instruments, which is kinda hard to keep timing completely consistent, adding to the kinda delayed drum roll at the first screaming part, so i would take blame for the kinda off sound, but we recorded this in one night and only did one take for each instrument, so i thought we did alright for that
I didn't think it was bad at all. You guys look like you had a lot of fun. Tighten it up a bit, and it's a rock solid cover. But the way you recorded it makes a lot more sense to me.

decent cover. you can fix that problem with the drums by first recording the bass line, then the drums, then the vocals, then lead guitar. the bass sets the time, the drums just set the style and volume. and since the bass has more of a musical line (this is a statment of fact and not a shot on drummers) they can put in the nuances that bands automatically put in on their own. that'll make it twice as good.

@3080cowboy lol i agree 100%, we actully now start off recording bass first, i always follow the bass wonderfully it sucks drumming to anything else, and if you notice most bands with amazing drummers normally always have amazing bass players (the who, primus and many more)

not a bad cover, not bad at all. To be a perfectionist the bass line seemed a tad bit off but I can never seem to nail the rhythm on the original record well anyway. Other than that great work!

It wasn't the bass. It was the drummer... trust me. When a drummer can't keep it consistent, the bass fails. They rely on one another, but the drums have to keep it together.

@uglyzombie this is true but we didn't record us playing at the same time, we recorded one instrument at a time then mixed them, (me being the drummer) i recorded drums first with no other instruments, which is kinda hard to keep timing completely consistent, adding to the kinda delayed drum roll at the first screaming part, so i would take blame for the kinda off sound, but we recorded this in one night and only did one take for each instrument, so i thought we did alright for that

I didn't think it was bad at all. You guys look like you had a lot of fun. Tighten it up a bit, and it's a rock solid cover. But the way you recorded it makes a lot more sense to me.

And a note, I think this should be at least 4 stars--its a great live play. However I must ask why the guitar's notes were changed in the bridge? It sounds nice, and would sound nice with the original notes played at the same time, but I really liked at least the original notes where it was like a series of the same note...if that makes sense. Sorry for the long comment.
