  • I remember when my friend who had Nemaline Rod Myopathy and dependent on a respirator to breathe. My dream was for him to live as normal a life as possible and when we went to the exhibition together I kept bugging his caregivers until they lifted him chair and all onto a merry-go-round. I think he was kind of freaked out by it but afterward he claimed to have fun. He is now nearly 37 years old and wasn't supposed to live past one year. Amazing!!!
