  • Extremement beaux!

  • An extremely moving version. Thanks.

  • That conductor looks like she's trying to land 747's. Sorry, hon, wayyy too much movement

  • Remember, she's Italian!!

  • @PiedPuyper I agreed. The best way is to beat at every minum, not every crochet, and handle it like "taichi", slow, strong and steady

  • It was difficult for the whole choir to see - that's why she's trying to be "taller" with her hands - those of us who were standing in the back couldn't see her!

  • @PiedPuyper hey thats my director!

  • In Latin Ps. 41:1 (In English Ps. 42:1)

Sicut (As) cervus (a deer) desiderat (pants) ad fontes aquarum (for flowing streams),

ita (so) desiderat (pants) anima mea (my soul) ad te (for you), Deus (O God).

  • @dies1domini

it might be better to say longs, not pants... sorry. really annoying of me.

  • @cellolove7

English is not my mother language.

The Psalm 42:1 in the King James Version of the Bible reads:

As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

and in the contemporary New International Version it reads:

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.

I just fit this line to the Latin.

I just used an English translation of the Bible for

  • @cellolove7 Both translations, "pants" or "pantheth" and "longs" or "longeth" are correct. When a deer pants for water the longing to drink is immediate. There is no word that can graphically describe man's immediate longing for his God other than PANT.

  • sicut cervus translates as "Like unto." The Psalm is "Like unto the hart desireth the fountains of water, thus doth my soul desireth Thee..." Secret Service is for the President of the United States..........!

  • Inspirational!!! WOW!!!

  • Were YOU the videographer, Ruben?? I thought you were singing!

GREAT video, thanks for posting this!!!

  • Awesome.

  • I'll bet the acoustics in there were hot, if not the temperature. What a beautiful setting. Thanks so much for performing this awesome piece ("Secret Service") and for sharing the video. Great job.

  • Thanks for letting me borrow your camera, Ryan!
