I own one of it..I never had any problem loading all my downloaded PDF files from different ebook sites unlike my other ebook which is the barns and nook which I always having a problem loading most of my PDF files,I only meant for Barns and Noble ebooks purchases,
I'm still very happy with my Story. Having a Kindle (yeah! I'm thinking about buying another ereader..how nerdy is that?!) would be great 'cause then you've got easy access to a Lot of books. But then again, all those restrictions.. :-S I have to agree with you: DRM sux big time!
I have an I river story but I have a couple of problems with it . When I delete a book fromit thename still is listed in the library . No way does it hold the amount of books they tell you it does. It tells me either to store them in another sub directory or reformat the drive can you please advice someone .
@Noora256 Still having problems with your Story? I haven't tried deleting anything from it yet. My books are stored in the 'Books' subdirectory.. I'm sorry I can't help you further.
The story can certainly hold over a thousand books ;-) and have plenty of storage space left..
Tnx! :-) I've only got the USB-Cable, so I recharge it through my laptop. As far as I know no Iriver cover is being sold anywhere here in the Netherlands, so I went all creative and made my own! I've heard that the Kindle cover should be a good fit, but I haven't been able to get my hands on one yet.. Any tips on where to get an Iriver cover (if they exist..)?
I do like it and use it alot! It's a nice design(Kindle-like). It allows you to read for hours without tiring your eyes which is heavenly + plenty of memory. But the functions are pretty basic: a funct. to search within ebooks and an automatic page turning function (already available for comics) would have been nice. I had to get used to the darker screen but I did in less than a day.
It is, as are all readers overpriced! I'll try to add another vid. showing the functions later on.
I got one yesterday :), i totally agree with your comments. it is a nice reader but i find it excellent for reading epub files in medium font
I find it difficult while reading pdfs, my eyes get stressed a lot. Do you crop your pdfs and do u have any method of converting and transferring files to the device.
That's great! I agree with you, I also find viewing epubs in medium font best. :-) About viewing pdf files: I do convert mine to epub using Calibre (it's free and it's a great tool!). It can be used to convert all kinds of formats (eg. word, txt, pdf, mobi, .lit). If there are problems with the final layout of the epub output, like blank spaces between paragraphs you'll have to select the file(s), go to preferences- conversion- click on the tab pdf input and change the unwrapping factor to 0.5!
I commend your choice of music, sir.

"I am a passenger" Great song. :-)
I really want one of these. It beats the crap out of the Kindle due to it's not having a horrible DRM-bought-from-amazon disability.

Yeah, I love that song!

@Gigidoe
Dude, you don't need to have a Kindle to have easy access to loads of books. Get yourself on bittorrent, they "sell" quite a few. ;-)
I have a 32GB card ready and waiting for when I get the Story.
