  • Anyone else find most of the Fender videos muffled?

  • in my opinion the Super Reverb and the Bassman are the best amps ever made!

  • Haha I was thinking the same thing....... Jeff Bridges can play the hell out of the blues....

  • jeff bridges plays guitarr

  • Super Reverbs are a dime a dozen friend, but you've

got graet taste in guitars! That Gallagher strat is 99.9%

    of that tone huh?

  • @Echoplex1 If Super Reverbs were a dime a dozen, I'd have a house built out of them!

  • @slpplexi1969 i have 2 agree

  • @Echoplex1 Re: your comment on the Gallagher strat. Tone is in the heart and fingers.

  • Just bought one of these with a hughes and kettner tube factor and i cant find a better sound it is the best sound i have ever heard. i bought one at guitar center for 1300 and it was worth every penny.

  • Great playing! About how much are Super Reverb Amps?

  • @hoarsefly

for a reissue? i got mine used for 700 bucks...great amp

  • Great great tone, fabulous !

  • I own one of these, and it sounds fantastic. Let me give you 3 tips to help you get the most out of this amp: 1. Put quality tubes in it. It will cost 100 bucks at least, but makes a HUGE difference. The stock tubes are truly crap. 2)Play with the tone knobs to fit your guitar. 3.Play at a volume over 3. These things don't come alive till the volume is at least 3, and sound best if you can dance between clean and distortion depending on your pick attack. Which is loud.

  • nice amp...mellow fender sound...

  • i wouldn't get this unless you are playing big gigs.

the fender twin reverb is perfect for stuff like that.

you can get a nice tube driven overdrive when you crank this thing up

  • Tell me people, is it possible to get from super reverb (ex. with TS808 and Telecaster) that 'crunch' like from bassman ?

  • Why don't ya buy a Bassman then :P?

  • Reverb, tremolo... And SR is beautiful. I heard today cranked SR (with attenuator) and it's what i want. :)

  • Nice! Have fun with it!

  • @LukaszKomala Absolutely. One of these and a Keeley modified tubescreamer is a match made in heaven. Just realize that to get the best crunch, you will have to crank the volume over 3. Lower than that doesn't sound bad, just a little muffled. Same speaker set up as the Bassman. I use this amp with a Strat or Les Paul, and a Tubescreamer often. You will love it.

  • these amps are really loud at 2 and 3 how does he play that at 5 lol does he just really turn down the volume knob on his guitar?

  • I wana do a vulkin mind meld on this dude and download some groovy riffnesses. Groove on my groove brother.

  • i saving up for this amp. I feel like ill stop chasing for tone after i buy this amp

  • Do yourself a favor and save up a little more to buy an original. Silver or blackface.

  • @magicbag6790 That's what I always think when I buy another amp, I have 3 now :D

  • @magicbag6790 Hope you will :) I had the same hopes as you earlier and ended up winding my own output transformer after buying an amp ( not a Fender however )... This passion can kill you :)

  • wow, that sounds great, not sure if i should go with this amp, or look for the 64' vibroverb reissue for the srv tone. p.s. im playing through a 62 stratocaster..

  • Both are great for that SRV tone, but you should seriously grab that Vibroverb if you can...

  • I don't know if I should buy this amp or the Twin Reverb

    Can you help me?

  • this...

  • Play both. You are the only person who can decide, not us.

  • The SR is more crunchy than the Twin. The twin will be cleaner

  • The twin is a lot louder, maybe too loud. Depends what you want it for.

  • So creamy!

  • gallagher is the man!! once again...beautiful, no nonsense guitar playing. gotta love it=]

  • my jaw drops

  • mine too!!

  • i just fell in love with this amp

  • if you did then get the original and not the reissue. ive A/B-ed them and no contest.

  • Great playing and sound!

  • how much are these?

  • Hey guys, can any1 haelp me? Im getting a super in 2 weeks 4 my 16th B-day, i love the cleans on this amp, but i havnt goten a chance 2 krank it at the store. If i crank the volume up on this beast, and maybe add some overdrive, can i get an ACDC sort of tone, somthing big and crunchy, thx -Ryan

  • probly not, just get a good pedal..

  • Your not going to crank a Super Reverb, ever.

  • Haha, thats funny. Considering yesterday i cranked it to 8. Grow a pair and crank it !!

  • seriously?! i crank mine all the time no prob. sure it shakes the whole house! but no worries thats what rock n roll is all about!

  • 45 watts isnt loud if you have original 35 watt CTS alnicos. They stop getting louder at about 4-5. Not sure about RIs but the old ones start to OD at about 3..

  • @tjaker46 Seriously people, if you are playing a Super Reverb, and you have the volume on 8, and you are in the same room, it will shake you right out of your chair, and no shit stuff will start rattling off the walls. I've been there and it's kinda fun! Even on 5 or 6 this thing comes on a little strong. The tones you get out of it when it starts to overdrive are really to die for, though, so it's a balancing act.

  • Friend of mine cranked a SRRI in the amp room at GC over the weekend. It's loud, but not earth shattering loud. It just starts to overdrive more as you pass 6. Doesn't get any louder, really.

With humbuckers on a LP Custom, it sounded fat and awesome. Bright switch was off.

  • Great SRV Style! And wow!, What a sound!

  • Love my Super.

  • ive got a super reverb also, with a ts9 you got instant srv sounds, ( if you got the right settings and hands ;-) )

    really great sounding amp

  • how would you get a distortion from the sound you have now.....add a DS1 to the mix?

  • Crank it up!

  • A great amp. I've had mine for 4 years after lusting after them for like 2 years. I love it more and more each day

  • great tone! would you be able to possibly tell me the settings on your tubescreamer?

  • talk about "good to the last drop"

  • i want that amp!

  • That's sick! For some reason I was thinking I could get an SRV tone with a Strat and a Marshall, but it ain't happening. This is where it's at, baby. Gonna get me a Super Reverb one day.

  • On old Marshall would work like a 206.

    They were based on Fenders!

  • Yeah, but they were based on the Bassman amps... these Super Reverbs are different, as far as I know. If I were forced to use a Marshall I might go for the JTM45, eh?

  • Very true. I guess if it's that SRV sound you're after then it's one of these cranked or a Twin with a Tube Screamer.

If you get a chance check out my 65 Twin demo videos.

  • or you could buy a marshall major... stevie used those.

thats if you can find one. I know I've had no luck :/

  • Dude, that's a fucking 200-watt head. I'm not suicidal. ;)

  • Hey very good tone..could you please specify your settings in the amp it`s too difficult to see it on screen. thanks

  • Volume- 5

    Treble- 3

    Middle- 7

    Bass- 3

    Reverb- 2

  • Good grief that tone is amazing.
