  • I can't even understand how to use public transportation in my own city without my sister's help. Unless you're from a busy city like NY, that sort of thing is a U.S. thing, I guess!

  • I expected this to be funny :/

  • Lol it's not just in Japan, we're late here at home too.

  • The people around you must have thought you were so weird, just walking in circles, talking on the phone with a camera in your hand.

  • i thought someone was sneezing so hard in the start of the video

ww

  • Damn, had you waiting for almost an hour. 恥ずべき radrey -_-'

  • In Germany they hate it when people show up late. I have a lot of friends who are always late to things and I am American... I cannot stand when people are late --__--

  • dude looks like my mexican uncle lmao.

  • radrey looks like that nerdy dude with camera from never back down.

  • Tardiness is not a race issue, it's a personality issue. And boob-lovers are men of any race. There's nothing "foreign" about your complaints. and that's honne.

  • @bigstareeyes hmm, I heard that certain cultures take it as granted to arrive ~1-2 hours later

  • I feel your pain!!, Im white but I hate it when people are laaaaaaaaaate (((

  • Thank you for all the wonderful videos ^^ I'm joint to learn how to speak and read Japanese before going to Japan so I won't have this problem^^

  • God damn it Radrey, you're making us look bad! lol

  • I'm the direct opposite of your friends, I'm beyond punctual. If anything, I'll show up early just to avoid being late and if gods forbid I do show up late, I apologize for being late.

  • You should have told him to look for the KFC... any American can find a KFC

  • I just would like to say first Domo arigatou for the videos. I just came across them tonight. Too add to this conversation I do not like it when people are late also. Alot of Americans here do that and it drives me crazy. Well I hope you have a happy New Year. Ki O tsukete, Maureen

  • Is he saying "lovely" ?

  • I am a gaikokujin in Japan and I get very annoyed when my friends are late, I am always at a location 10 to 15 minutes before a meeting, but everyone I know are always 15 to 30 minutes late.

  • きょんゆうずき eh? guess i learned a new word XD

  • HAha! Tell me about BLACK people! I waited 4 hours!

  • you must divide filthy americans and other foreigners! two different species!

  • @bulavo Hey Jackass, Americans are not filthy. You're just ignorant and rude.

  • @bulavo LOL ... Yes I have to agree ....

  • @bulavo that is one of the most butthurt thigs i've heard so far today. only insecure people unhappy with their lives tend to be that hateful. What happened? bad day at work? anything this american can do to help?

  • well..he got on the wrong train..and btw, my Sensei never punctual too...=) it depends on the person, it does not have to be specific race of people. Yet, be punctual is a good habit.

  • fuking usless "gaijin" fukn learn how to be punctual nek time, or da next time you need to say more than just " I am reeree sorry". "gaijin cant lace" tokyo drift

  • wait, are you jackie chan?

  • @dinggledoser wait are you fucking stupid? O_o

  • I don't know you sir so i don't know that you are racist . I just wanna know your opinion about foreigners . I it's could be useful . Anyway greetings form Poland .

  • Your english is amazing i wish my japanese was as good but i'm slow lol

  • And btw, your subway+suburban train network is crazy. I've been to Tokyo 3 times and know the netowrk quite well but I still almost get lost sometimes.

  • Your English is good. Most Japanese speak a lot less than you, if at all, so don't listen to those complaining because 彼らは馬鹿です!

  • nvm

  • How come theres no sound?

  • We're not unpunctual, we just have terrible directional sense.

  • 英語下手だなー...his english sucks...

  • sigh... I am always ahead of time 10 mins... and I am Arabic person living among Arabs... and because the average arabic person around here is late 15ish-20ish mins... that's usually 25-30 mins of waiting... whats funny is that arabs always say that" look at west no body is late there!" but I also have been to Europe... same story there with the changed "If (E.G)a train was late in japan the train conductor would quit"... I guess eventually it come down to... some people are late, some aren't.

  • lol what the f***** other than that good vid^^

  • Radrey? Funny, he doesn't look like a Radrey...Bradley maybe...

  • many japanese people get late in appointments!! nobody like the obligation to be on time, its just like in your job, it sucks!!! you should avoid them, for exemple if you wanna meet your friends to go to a bar, why dont they go first and you meet them later there, instead meet up in a station? thats one of the things that i hate in japan people act like a disciplined worker all the time, even in their spare time...

  • what is 'rascist' about people? Everyone is late in every country there's always that one person...

  • Giggity.

  • LOLOL when he call Radrey my phone ring which make me freak out

  • has this vid got subliminal messages in it?.

  • I'm a western girl, married to a Japanese man. We currently live in Thailand, and have lived in Japan with him before. I just have to ask ... are there ANY attractive white men on the Asian continent? My God, every last one of them are either obese, balding, old, or just complete and utter twerps. It's kind of embarrassing.

  • I'm sure this happens in every country. I'm just surprised you actually had the patience to wait for more than half an hour. I'd probably just leave after the first ten? x'D

  • number 1: noone can wait for an hour. number two: some guyz are gay so they can't love boobs. no offense i guess. number three: as you can see he's telling us that he's getting annoyed because he's been waiting for the foreigners for an hour. number four: haters gunna hate cause their jealous about him:

Btw i loved the posters in the washroom. LOL jksjks XDD

  • class!))))))))))))))0

  • Can is see the movie :D

  • @007razzor

I don't even know whether it has been finished or not .....

  • I think this should be a why I hate tokyo trains video instead lol I get lost ALLLLL the time

  • LOL wow almost 45 minutes! it is really long!

  • @Scopps94

    Number 4. Merry Christmas

  • @runnyrunny999 u too runny thx 4 ur cooking videos i learned a lot from u merry christmas

  • You know, I wouldn't be able to stay mad at these guys for getting on the wrong train and being late. Tokyo is pretty big after all! Plus, they'd probably don't know how to read lots of Japanese words (especially Kanji). It's easy to mix up words & get lost in Japan!

  • hey runny..how come u look 47 in this vid and in all the others younger?

  • You thinking stupid white people wahahahhahahahaaaa

  • Since I'm always about 10-15 minutes late...no matter how early I start to leave...my good friends plan around that and the rest aren't my friends any more. EVERYBODY has their personal shortcomings - if ya can't deal with that then go dig yourself a hole and sit in it so only you annoy yourself with yours...whatever they may be.

  • When u mention the bathroom I knew that was coming ^_^

  • XD I should show this to my friend. Tell her to pick me up at 2:00.......an hour and a half later........>.> which is why i don't call her for rides anymore

  • @IkaeYokohama2 Should just ask her to pick you up at 12:30. So when shes an hour and a half late she'll actually be on time properly.

  • @Dhashizhi should have thought of that!

  • had to laugh, we've all been there.

congrats on the quality pics on the bathroom wall XD

  • All I could do was laugh and then I saw the pornish stuff xD all I could think was "Oh baby!" lmao! Tipacal Guys having naked or nearly naked women on their bathroom wall.

  • Radrey the pervert

  • Japanese people are always staring at my family when they visit my area. I think they like my sisters red hair.

  • youre a good lookin jap

  • lol silly gaijin

  • all you gaijin why don't you just use jorudan to check on the train.. stupid gaijin LOL

  • I'm more disturbed about him being a boob guy than him being late.

I mean most of the comments are funny; it doesn't matter if you are American, Pole, Swedish, etc. everyone can be late. I seen Japanese people be late in real life and in anime/manga.

Me personally? I try to be early with everything but I'm used to seeing people at work half ass their jobs and be late because they don't care =_=

If anything, a lot of places in America are too leinent when it comes to people's jobs/favoritism.

  • @sleepyschezo The moment you use "anime/manga" (or even jdramas) as a comparison towards any Japanese custom or tradition is when your argument or whatever you're 'trying' to say becomes invalid.

You, however, are correct when saying that Japanese people can and will be late in real life. Why? Because we're human. We're all the same species thus creating the notion that 'preference' guides us rather than culture.

  • @xkzonstr: Wait what?

I said I seen people in anime/manga be late because we don't have Japanese people here, there is mostly chinese and korean people in my city.

As sad as this is, I have never seen a real Japanese person outside of tv, dramas, and animation. =_=

Although I agree with the second part; what may be fine with one person or culture isn't fine with the next, so it's best to respect everyone's ideas and preferences.

  • @sleepyschezo Apologies, I thought you were trying to compare this to an anime, manga, or jdrama. I'm a bit intolerable of people like that since it seems like once a person watches an anime or jdrama, they automatically either know Japanese or know how Japanese culture is.

  • @xkzonstr: That my good friend is a weeb.

I personally don't know everything about Japanese culture, heck I barely know everything about the culture in America or my own. I'm currently trying to be a translator, but studying Japanese and Russia is extremely hard since I'm neither Russian or Japanese, as well as understanding their mindset.

But not considering others, no matter what race or sex you are, is just 'bogus,' period.

  • @sleepyschezo Haha, oh trust me, I've had my share of experiences with weeaboos. My highschool was littered with them. You can only go so far in liking something without being disrespectful, you know?

Study conversational Japanese rather than textbook first, and then jump into vocab. You can learn so many words but have no clue how to piece them together, and that's where many potential translators/linguistics fail. I'm in the same boat at you. :)

  • Ladley..

  • The poster of this video is racist.

  • I'm always early, like awkwardly early...

  • omg im always late too LOL

  • I'm not american but 1 thing I learned from Americans is that they never show up later this guy took the wrong train that's why he is later

  • i dont think it matters where you are from, everyone can get on a wrong train, or get caught up in traffic or get late at some point for any reason...he even apologised :) i can call it a mistake though if he didnt call to tell runny he was going to be late for whatev er reason! You must always keep your waiting person informed!

  • lol at his washroom pictures.

  • Hope he doesn't invite any girls over ;) lol Late people drive me nuts in my country as well.. We call it "green mountain time" always 20min late but that's usually because of the snow. I get strange looks when I get upset about knowing i'll be late.. phoo..

  • @2011Decision your fucking dumb you foreigner

  • @iFlyFPV Should I even bother correcting you?

  • well, yeah, these LBH (looser-back-home) type gaijins do tend to be pron-obsessed bad-mannered morons, what are you ganna do:)

  • @surmeslevress Oh , yes that's very considerate. Here in the uk people just cough in your face and wlaks around wiping the snot from their nose. Lol.

  • Why do japanese people wear face mask's like the girl in the background who walks past at 1:38 ? I also saw lots of people who have them in the earthquake videos.

  • Comment removed

  • @matt876mma If theyre having a cold, they wear it not to spread any virus or bacteria. Its for the sake of others.

  • Dude loves his boobs then. As to him being late. 40 minutes is late even by American standards. 5-10 minutes is very normal for us in social settings, while at work you are usually expected to be there 10 minutes early. If he was that late due to train issues he should have been polite and called you to inform you there was a problem BY the ten minute 'acceptable' mark. This is simply a difference in culture, something people should expect from both sides.

  • Did he contact by phone?

  • 40分以上!? ひどいじゃん! lol

  • If he was actually being serious, he would of said 外人 (gaijin).

外国人 (gaikokujin) is a polite way of saying "foreigner".

  • I'm so glad Japan seems to be one of the only cultures except us Germans that takes punctuality serious. I absolutely HATE unpunctual people. Don't get me wrong, but if you say you're gonna be someplace at a certain time, be sure to actually be there. If you're not sure you can make it, say that you might take a little longer or you're not sure. It's not that hard :3

  • @skulduggerous

    Absolut(ely)! ;-)

  • I'm like that too. I can't stand it when other people are late or when I'm going to be late. I was taught never to be late because it's rude to the other person. I'm always twenty to thirty minutes early. xDDD

  • im sorry this happened to you. if he was american, i think i can explain his ill behavior.. please take no offense, but americans just dont teach punctuality and manners to their kids anymore. call me harsh, but i think a stern childhood wouldve helped keep this kid on time for an appointment. if not i would same the same, but for a non american household. but i think it more applies to americans then any other culture. sadly americans can be ungraceful folk as such. for that im sorry to you.

  • just so you know restroom and bathroom are typically the same place.

  • @sailorchibiluna

Misconception, restroom does not have a shower/bathtub unlike a bathroom.

  • lol ye i lived in japan for a while and noticed there is a negative stereotype for foreigners, especially white guys, but not everyone is the same, but it is understandable to an extent why they have these stereotypes. Anyway, its all about winning people over on an individual scale,.....

  • Way to not blur out his face. : P

  • @runnyrunny: not all foreigners are like this and I am sorry you had this experience. I lived in Asia (one year Japan, three years Taiwan) and I know it is stereotyping but I found most of the foreign men to be just like this: irresponsible and immature. Just as lukaluei says, "typical white foreign male". Drinking too much, not respectful to the local culture and people, and they think they are god's gift to the local women when they are perpetually single at home...

  • I totally feel you. I hate meeting up with people because I am ALWAYS few minutes early so that I'm not late... then they end up being SOOO LATE!

  • @Uatemydoodle lol...the realest comment i've read this week...and it's a sunday...so gratz.

  • Fuckin Radery...

  • I feel your pain. lol, I don't like it when people are late either~

  • typical white foreinger male lol. ><"

  • nice engrish

  • A Japanese speaking a decent English , this has to be a miracle.

  • Japanese are pretty big on punctuality that's for sure. And that hakujin in this vid just might have a Japanese girl fetish. Oh well, pretty common I suppose.

  • noooo no no no i logged in just so i could comment on this video i randomly stumbled across. i have waited up to 45 minutes multiple times for my japanese friends at stations before!!! this is soo generalized about gaijin. being punctual totally depends on the individual.

  • im a city boy from california but i have a lot of patients and im very much puntual for work or any where.

  • The unpunctuality thing is so true. I've been around 5 minutes late like 35% of the time at most of the jobs I've worked. What saves my bacon is that I'm a hard worker, and all my employers have found me pretty likeable. Procrastination is a hard habit to break. They should make an arm patch or something.

  • "remember the one you told me.. "

    ."i yeah" lol"

  • I'm an American and I don't like being late, so I make a point to get to the places early. But almost everyone I know is chronically late. And they always have some excuse. So I completely understand your frustration and I share your annoyance,

  • japan sucks

  • @NarutoRocks2011 then why ur name is Naruto??? why watch suck japan's cartoon?

  • Don't worry. I Fell your pain. Western society is completely messed up. They don't have the same values as Japanese people. But that STILL doesn't stop westerns from being nice you know... I'm sure you've only met ignorant westerns... Trust me. There are some of us who understand, love, and have the upmost respect for your values.

  • I'm a very ponctual canadian girl and it's considered a quality... as if it wasn't normal to be on time. I have the same feeling because I often wait for my friends even if I am a little late.

  • youree city sushi is bether then maai city wok!

  • what the fuck...............i'll slap them all if i see them in osaka.

  • radrey you fool! lol

  • Widershins: You got spooky friends? Love your cooking and your dancing are top of the line. I made some pot stickers had no trouble except pleating the edge I think I made the dough to soft worked good any way no leaks. Like the souse as well. Make some dance videos you are fantastic. I hope you don,t find us foreigners to boorish we just are sorry about that. I would like to say we will try to be better but no we suffer from klutsamania.

  • you fucking radrey. you're making us all look bad, get a freakin watch

  • @MrCassavius lol Radrey...

  • @MrCassavius

The Japanese train system is actually kind of difficult to get used to, I know all about it took me a good three months to actually get used to it. eventually I learned that if I want to go to Yokohama, Tokyo, Zushi, or somewhere like that just to START ON KEIKYU line from Yokosuka, and make my way from there.. because Keikyu actually gets you to just about everywhere. now the girls there's nothing wrong with that!

  • Was that a NicoNicoDouga TV on his wall?

  • I lold hard at all the porn models on your friend's walls.

  • "I don't wait for you coming like I wait for my GF."

heehee if i was ur gf i wouldn't make u wait for me!! ^^

  • 外国人だからとか関係ないと思う。人それぞれだと思う。

  • You are cute when you are angry. :P

  • it sound's like ur saying " Lovely " insted of Radrey XD

  • I have a crush on u.....srsly

  • Why are Japanese so racist?

  • @AStepAhead100 I don't blame them for hating foreigners with all the weeaboos around. We don't exactly represent ourselves well.

  • @YukiikoVX

I very much agree, this topic wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the sheer number of Japan-obsessed people I see.

  • @AStepAhead100 not "all" meaning every single Japanese person is racist. They are not used to foreign people in their country. If you lived in a country full of the same hair skin and eye color and someone with different hair skin and eye color came to your country wouldn't you be curious ?

  • @AStepAhead100 It's kind of racist to say that Japanese are racist? Confusing... 0o

  • @LawOfActionReaction Then they should shut the fuck up!

  • his friend should have called first to him.

he is a good guy. he was just waiting for his calling and him...

    i dont understand that culture.

  • I find this hilarious! I think every time I meet with someone in Tokyo they are late. The best part is that the issue knows no ethnic bounds :D

  • Ha ha ... that happens to me in a London Metro, instead of way going to the airport...i've found out only after the 3 stop, then we got to take the other train but 20 min wait... wahhhh! And i am already late to catch my plane!

  • Well Runny, I´m from Germany, and... I hate people who are like that. If it where me, I will allready go home.

BUT, if the train was late or there is some kind of delay, I will wait.

But honestly, then the person have to apolagize propertly to me, for comming late!

  • I don't know... I can wait for very long.. I once waited for my mom at the bank. It took her 2 hours to get there.

  • xD epic bathroom whats happens if a girl see's it if he brings one over? lol

  • @zeffyismylove Maybe that issue hasn't come up yet...? :/ :(

  • Haha, trust me. We foreigners don't like tardiness either!

  • dude u shouldve went home.i wouldve!LOL ur friend is not the brightest color in the crayola box

  • hehe, I'm pretty sure his name is Bradley. . not Radry

  • @MrDanielTynan Naww its most definetly Radrey

  • He took the wrong train n_n well i guess it happens if there wasn't a reason then that would be bad

  • Haha, i'm studying comminication at my university right now. Punctuality is a culture thing. In some cultures its acceptable to be late 5 or 10 minutes and some places meeting times pretty much mean nothing lol.

  • In the immortal words of Bobby Lee: "FUREEZU LAPD!!!"

  • Just to let you know I have been stood up by Japanese people alot and I am never late (I am as you say "gaijin")

  • "creative industry" people are always like that. When I worked with musicians, they were ALWAYS late. And most of the time they smell like weed.

They are usually very unprofessional, moody, and hard to please (always making unrealistic or irrational demands).

    Hell no.

  • @BedStuyBro That is a huge generalization of all artistic career based people, I am a session musician and if I don't turn up to the studio in time I get FIRED on the spot. No second chances, no nothing; you ain't there to play they'll can your arse before you can blink.

  • @TimusOminere lol. Well, I hope you at least find the comment entertaining. lol.

  • @BedStuyBro Sounds like you worked with DIVAS and not real musicians.

  • @Laifgozon Sounds like U B trollin'. Need the hits?

  • @BedStuyBro No, this is just what happens when I get on Youtube at 3 in the A.M. I really need to stop. I just post comments without really thinking it through. It's kind of the equivalent to some drunk walking down the street talking to everyone they see and annoying the hell out of them. And for that I apologize.

  • Don't worry, not all foreigners are like that. =) I think it is mainly based on the person, depending on how punctual they are. Whenever I have a meeting or date, I make sure I'm early. =)

  • when i went to Japan a few years back, I've learnt from my tour guide that punctuality is highly emphasised in Japan. Japanese people are usually very punctual during meetings. I'm really sad to say that people in my country are only moderately-punctual. We would usually arrive 5 to 15 minutes later. In worse cases, sometimes even up to an hour. SUPER ANNOYING.

  • Why do peope wear random face mask in japan, it's creepy.

  • @LucifersArgument It's not random. They wear face masks if they are sick to avoid spreading germs. =)

  • You can try going to the philippines, when we say "meet me by 9:00" we really mean 10:00. You should always add 1hr to the agreed time before you arrive. When you msg "where are you?" they'll say "im on the way" when really they're still in their houses. XD it's really annoying but it's common here.

  • @kawayan88 what about stop that stupid practice? I hate it.... and Im a filipino.

  • @diorsonxxx i do try to stop it, but it's hard when all other people late :P

  • Teehee, the comments make me giggle. Some folks are such tight asses its a wonder they can shit. I am an actual American, by that I mean Native American, and I must agree that unpunctuality in foreigners annoys me as well. I once was stranded at a bus station because my friend, English American, got caught up in video games and forgot. Not pleasant at all but luckily he remembered, even if an hour and a half later than needed.

  • I promise I will never be one of those gaijin who end up annoying everyone, if I ever get to visit Japan... ^_^;

  • i love japan the best country in the world.japanese are high-class and most polite people on earth i even changed my name to japanese name.日本太郎。

    やっぱり 僕は日本文化おたくなった。hhhhhhhh
