neptune has no surface, you sure you dont mean Jupiter's moon Europa? its quite possible under the icy surface there is a warm ocean that could team with some form of life also that Martian rock found in Antarctica i thought they said it had been contaminated with Earth bacteria shortly after it landed here

I've always thought this.. and I couldn't believe it when I was a kid and used to watch "Cosmo's" with Carl Seagan and him saying "we're unique in all the universe" an inch either way from the sun/moon we wouldn't have existed at all... and then right before he dies he changes his mind.. it's people like that, that makes us go backwards in science, so much wasted time..

I dont get people that dont believe in other life in the universe, There are billions of stars in our galaxy alone with other planets circling them and billions and billions of other galaxies that can be so much bigger then ours and a never ending space and people believe that earth is the only place with life on it...

lots of these planets they are finding are around red dwarf stars . For the planets to be earth like around these red dwarves they would have to orbit more inward calculations show these planets would have a tidally locked rotation 1 side always faces the star. Which pretty much craps on the chances for life as we know it .. But these theorized planets might have habitability in fringe latitude regions much unlike we see it here on earth Night and Day make it happen for us here.

their is a verry high chance if not definate that their is some form of life out in the universe and a high chance that their are many what we may call inteligent lifeforms although less abundant than non-sentient life if thats the correct term

it impossible that we are the only intelergent life forms in the universe some poeple say the chances of getting the right conditions for like is 1 in a few million but there trillions of planets so it is literally impossible for us to be the only intelergent life forms but can we really call ourselves interlergent? weve destroyed and ravaged out planet and are finding it almost impossible to travel to out nearest star we may have to wait another thoushand years untill were enywhere near an star

with 170 billion galaxies that are just observable there are probably many more, with trillions of stars in each galaxy and many planets circling each star there is little chance we are alone, but contating them or even seeing them is unlikely
