BTW Concorde was an Anglo - French Project, made by British Aerospace (BAe Systems) and Aérospatiale. :)

@boeing521 Actually, According to this website: (heritageconcorde (Dot) com/?page_id=3809), in the late 50's, both the British and French were looking into supersonic transport. The British design was a thin-winged delta shape transatlantic-ranged aircraft for 100 people. Just as Concorde is. The cost of making a prototype was too great though, so the British government made it a requirement That BAC looked for international co-operation and only the French were interested.

1. Boeing, Airbus or Bombardier makes the plane's body.

2. You make our engines.

3. We have an airplane! :)

1.BAC have the idea, and the design (They designed it, admit it! :P) the engines and some other stuff.

2.Aerospatiale designed the things that the british found boring or that they couldn't be bothered doing (Landing Gear, engine Fire Extinguishers etc.).

3.Both Aerospatiale and BAC built it.

4.They both end up with the most awesome supersonic passenger plane ever! :D

@boeing521 Also one of the main components, the engine, was British. Although, by the time everything was sorted out, the French took over designing, with 60/40 percent split with the British.

The point is, the British had the first thought of the idea, the French kinda did the finishing touches, to make it a little just a little bit better.
