I'd write out ideas, but let me get to the gist of my criticism first.
It's just feels really bizarre to see something digital in such an organic, antique steampunk world. The rest of the experience is so thoroughly consistent and detailed it sticks out like a sore thumb.
Digital is 1's and 0's. On and off. Cold. Harsh. Inorganic. Technological.
The rest of the world is wind, plants, trees, ancient stone, brass and bronze. It's soft, organic. Magical.
It's not digital, digital signals to not get static like that. That's a analog signal with noise, and that is very organic as our world is completely analog and has tons of noise. So makes perfect sense to me.

That's what it would look like on any visual medium.
