No erm.. When playing Empire at War, you have to pick a color for your units. I was the red team. ( I probably should have gone with Dark-blue)

Anyway, that's why the ship is red. It is supposed to be the Executor. I don't know why the creators fot he game chose to make the entire ship the team's color.. I'm not happy with it.. but oh well :)

not bad, but plenty of room for improvement - such as making the emipre blue, and the rebels red, the X-wings S- foils being in attack position, and such - but some other good etails added in there, like the rebel transports and stuff - either way, good effort.

The colors were indeed a big fault on my part.

As for the S-foils.. The computer player played the Rebels, so I had no control over them whatsoever.

But oh well.. I think it turned out nice for a first try :)

Nope, I made the map myself. I just spawned all the units you see. The unit capacity does not apply to units that are already in the game and under your controle. So if I had a spacestation in orbit, I could still produce 30 spaceships ( or 25? not sure what the unit capacity is)..

I've been listening to different genres of music since the mid 80's. Most genres of metal (notably extreme), classical, progressive and jazz are my favorites. This is "epic" because it's an orchestra that quickly builds. It's not necessarily awe-inspiring musically. If it were played as a riff in other styles of music, it would be quite boring in my opinion. It seems to just be the chorus and strings that give an epic feel.

But the pc this was made on is already 4 years old. Then try to play FOC on good texture quality with way more ships that the game usualy allows you to fight with, and all the while recording it with fraps :) ..

I like how the Death Star II is in the same level as the ships and seems to be so far away from them that you get the feeling it's damn much larger than it normally would be.

Personally I guess that ultimately the Empire won although the Executor seems to be a goner.

It's not Requiem for a Dream. It's Requiem for a Tower, by Corner Stone Cues. Says right so in iTunes. The trailer for LOTR: TTT had the music in it, but that's about all it was ever used for, as far as I know.

Nope, I used the original Forces of Corruption expansion pack.

And if you downloaded the map editor, there should be some tutorials in there on how to make your own space and/or ground maps.

In Rogue Squadron Rebel Strike one cutscene is where the Rebels used a transport to ram a shield generator protecting a ship yard. Maybe they where filled with explosives and would ram either the Death Star or the Star Destroyers.

I also have a gig Ram, But I have a 512 mb videocard.

In this vid, I run the game on very low detail, because my computer couldnt handle al those hundreds of ships, thousand of laser AND the recording program.

Without that recording program, the game runs just fine.

a 128 mb vidcard should run fine too, but I suggest you dont play ground missions on high detail, because it will get pretty laggy...

To be honest I did not finish it whilst making the vid. But I did try it against a Hard PC and even a few very good players, and the empire OWNED!

its mostly because of the death star.

I balanced it a little bit by giving the empire only a few SD's that can deploy Tie fighters..

I've build them for cool movies, not realy for playing them....this one is overkill for the empire. the small ships and fighters the rebels use dont stand a change against 30x Thrawn and the Executor. and the death star will destroy all mon call's before they reach the empire fleet....way overkill!

Well with this level i wanted to recreate the Battle of endor. Thats why i gave the empire only stardestroyers and tie's. The rebels had lots of fighters in return of the jedi (a bit less then here) and they do have anti fighter ships..

it didn't matter to me witch side would win, i just wanted to get a cool video.
