  • Hey Esther! I love doing all 3 of the warrior poses but I have a bad left knee that won't hold me in these types of poses for very long, maybe 30 seconds, without wobbling. Do I get the same benefit from repetition (i.e. doing it 3+ times in a routine) that I would by trying to hold it for a few minutes at a time?

  • @Gunapithesunrose Hi, Yes don't push your knees and adopt to how it does feel right to your body. You will still get the benefits of this pose for sure :-)

  • Thanks a lot Lindsay. I know about the variations, we do them in some classes, they work for me really well. But I really would like to know what I have to work on so that I can keep my arms by the ears. I'm trying some shoulder opening sequences, but so far don't feel much difference...

  • I'm so glad you added the "Yogatic Chime" back into the beginning of your vidoes. :) I've always enjoyed that sound.

  • Esther thank you so much! You answered my question before I even asked it. I will now try to keep my hip points down. I always lose my balance and seem to fall into half moon. Now I know why!

  • Esther, my biggest problem in this pose is to keep my arms beside my ears. After few seconds I'm struggling... Any advice on that please?

  • @Katkaeatsthis i know you didn't ask me, but there is a variation of this pose where you can put your arms behind you so that you're kinda in a superman sort of pose (arms by your sides/hips). or you could clasp your hands behind your back for a bit more of a chest opening.

  • Nice and so are the colours!

  • awesome!

  • good job

  • You are very good Esther, thank you very much for sharing. :)

  • Should the balancing leg be straight and locked at the knee, or is it safer to have it bent?

  • @bakasushi19 i know you didn't ask me. but from what i know, proper form is to always have a 'microbend' (not a discernible bend to the eye, but you can feel that your knee isn't locked and/or hyperextended). in this way you are still doing the work (i.e. not relying on the joints and instead relying on your muscles), and you won't hyperextend if you do have that ability.

  • wow that´s hard

  • auch!!

  • i just did Warrior 3 for the first time yesterday from another video and said to myself, 'I wonder if Esther has a Warrior 3 video?' you heard my call! haha, thanks Esther, can't wait to try it again tonight.
