Its fucking horrible. Im from south wales where this device was invented and i am yet to see a shop that don't abuse the device. They just leave it on constantly even tho 99% of the time they don't need to use it. Within weeks of it being released i want it banned due to mass abuse.

This dosen't stop anti social behaviour...it just moves it onto a different area where there isn't a mosquito device, they should stop harrasing children and teens and help the minority of troublemakers and find out why they are acting like that in the first way. Discrimination IS Discrimination, wether it's against old people, young people, women, men or ethnic minorities, using stereotypes like all youths are troublemaking criminals will lead to only damaging our society.

@lewiszim Not only that it works on babies. Imagine a mother standing out a shop employing one of these devices. Her Baby is obviously distressed, but can't tell her why, she can't hear the thing and continues to expose the child to it. I've seen dogs left outside shops etc going nuts as well. What about guide dogs? Its a stupid idea.

I wonder how much is directly related to the age - and how much is hearing loss. Very many people abuse their hearing and usually it takes some years before hearing loss accors, unless it's extreme levels

Not the first time I for example hear someones music from the headphones thru a a half subway station or walk past close to a night club with music that is at deafening level just thru the open door - and people is inside there for several hours without ear protection.

Usually your hearing doesn't count as impaired until you hav problem to talk with people. Think about telephone quality - that's how bad hearing you can have and still have "normal hearing"

Low levels of hearing loss usually goes undetected - but of course can be detected in cases like this..

I'm 25 and at such an high level, 85 dB SPL - I can hear up to about 21 kHz. - and I have no detectable difference compared to when I was 17
