Look up any Line 6 TonePort products. Its basically a recording interface you hook up your guitar to so that you can record on your computer. gearbox is the program that comes with it. I have the Tone Port GX which is the basic model. It runs around $70 or less.

SVR is a Hendrix rip off compleatly, this is a hendrix song. all respect to the guitarist SRV and even thought the version you are hearing is infact a beautiful cover of the Hendrix song 'little wing' the fact reamains that is still a Hendrix song and SRV would have never been able to write a song like this. the closest thing hes done that can be compaired (but shouldent) is 'Life without you' Witch is a wonderfull song but. Not as complex and full as Hendrix's little wing.

Basically the toneport gx acts like a microphone. You use recording software to record your voice. This time with the toneport gx you hook up the guitar to the computer and use recording software to record the guitar sound.

What I did in this video is use a digital camera to record the guitar and backtrack.
