  • I am so glad I found this cd when I did years ago. It's most likely not in print any longer. The whole work is so varied in it's cadence, tonal centers and textures. It truly is a backdrop for the chaos of post modern life on this planet.

  • The begining reminds me of INCEPTION.................... Get your totems out aahhhhhhhh!

  • 7:34 OMG

  • I can't find anywhere to purchase this CD!! Help!!

  • He reminds me Varèse somehow...in the sudden sonic eruptions underlined by percussions..but much more evil!

  • Is this an original compositional piece? What's its story? Any liner notes?

  • This is the first movement of a longer work, "Histoire du plaisir et de la desolation" (1981) written for orchestra by Ferrari. It is performed by the Orchestre National de France under the direction of Michael Luig. The entire work is available on a CD entitled Luc Ferrari, "Matin et soir", ADDA 581156

  • Wow, I love Ferrari and have a bunch of his music, but I'd never heard this. Thank you so much for posting it!

  • It's from a CD called "Matin et Soir" on the Adda label. (ADDA 581156)
