  • Sooo... I eat alot of MDMA and drink vast quantities of alcohol.... But this speaks for itself that I need to get back on Karate!

  • ppl going wow a 117, ya fail to realize that this vid is 3 years old, he's 119, now normally just a few extra digits doesn't mean much, but when you're in the triple digits, it means a lot!!! god bless you Lu Zijian and you be one with Tao forever

  • Wow! 117, most people would be considered good if they can still stand at that age. Amazing.

  • lies, he moves like a 17, he is 17!

  • I read that he's a vegetarian. Go Lu Zijian!

  • whats the sound track?

  • Taoist?

  • @greenboy620 right!

  • @redscarfwow

like tomato tomato. i c. I know people like to get all preachy about spelling etc. just putting the knowledge out there. peace

  • Lol, It's not Lu Zijian, it's Wang Jinrei. XD

  • @Sasori0981 what are you talking , THis is the one and only Lu zijian

  • @mefuckyoula He is reffering to a character in a game that looks exactly like him :P

  • Thank you for your comment. Flowing chi is definitely the end result of proper martial practice. It can also be the outcome of other practices, when done appropriately. In my practice, which stems from Fong Ha's Integral Chuan Institute. We also practice standing, walking and chi ruler meditations to boost the Tai Chi results. You are correct, this woman was definitely doing walking meditation and enjoying its profound benefits.

  • Thank you Sifu Lu Zijian for teaching us Baguazhang.

Follow the ancient way, while moving with the modern way.

  • I´m speechless about his skills!!!

My highest respect to this master!

  • Hoy Quarlow.

  • Truly inspirational... hope I can still move like that in 60 years time.

  • excellent demonstration... I haven't seen like this video in my entire life..very great...Being a martial arts instructor .. I got a lot of motivation and inspiration.. I suggest to watch this video to all my known persons who think they are old persons....and helpless....

  • I've uploaded a great clip about Daoist chanting!!

    please visit watch?v=8sttbkrjwN0

  • Yep, he's really, really good and inspiring - but seriously, you should see his Dad!

  • Awesome and totally inspiring !

  • holy shit hes 90 years older than me

  • @CrankDATdance56 in this vedio he did not asked ur age stupid

  • He is 118 now

  • Damn this old man looks better in his age than me in 24!

  • I think the key here is to keep the body moving. When you stop the body from moving then it doesn't get the necessary exercise it requires to stay strong and so you see the elderly here with walkers, motor chairs, etc.

  • I have no idea about what he eats (I'm lay in martial arts and the like), but I'm sure he is 100% healthy. And shows us beautiful and precise movements. Wow!

  • wow!!!! bless his lil cottons :)

  • It's obvious that in this video Lu still has excellent balance and power which is amazing. Who was his teacher and lineage? I love this set and would love to include it in my own practice. Does he have any good instructional dvd's? Thanks.

  • I think what inspires me the most is that he's been doing internal arts for over a century, and you can tell he still loves it like day one. For all the trials that men of his occupation and era endured, that's... well, amazing. I would be honored to learn Taiyi Huolong Palm or Fire Dragon Palm Baguazhang, at some point in my life. Oh,for more info on this guy's life and to see if he's really that old... luzijian.com

  • This is so inspiring, now I'll work hard to live at least 80 years, stop smoking, drinking and starting a better diet, maybe run 2 milles a day just for start, I'm so excited :) then I'll search for a martial arts institute. Ty for posting it.

  • @Winterrealm hey just to let u know something about this great master, who i highly love and respect, he smokes cigarettes, so theirs really no need to stop, but there is nothin wrong with having those goals...

  • I want him as my granpa!!!

  • @soerism if he was your Grandpa I bet he'd be trainin' your ass off!

  • @ajaben I'd hope so.

  • I am speechless in utter awe.

  • Throughout all of his struggles he continued his internal arts practice and has maintained a genuinely positive and compassionate attitude. This old man is a living legend, a national treasure. He is the epitome of a Taoist master and in my opinion can be likened to the ancient Taoist Immortals, a living Buddha.

  • @ joeynovak2 re: "stress free lifestyle" The irony is this man has undergone significant stress and trauma in his life. He was imprisoned for several years during the cultural revolution and forced to do hard labor, fed only a bowl of rice per day (he was around 60 then). Rural villagers who after not seeing any noticeable aging in him after more than a decade believed him to be a ghost & beat him near death. He nursed himself back to health with herbs and root vegetables in the area.

  • Fantastic! How to learn this movement and where?

  • Insipiration to all!!!

  • agreed this is a perfect example of the Mastery of the" 3 Essentials"...Spirit , Mind & Body.in Taoist practice....the three unite to bring Radiant Health in all aspects of ones existence.......we are lucky to even see examples of this energetic practice that has been a deep Chinese tradition for a long time...........He is amazing !

  • a Huolong palm a day keeps the doctor away! awesome video!

  • This man is a LEGEND.

He's from the same generation as Huo YuanJia [JetLi's Fearless]. His life biography can be made into a movie. The film Fearless the end ring fight is even more similar to Lu Zijian's experience than Huo.

One of the only 10 martial artists in the whole China to be accredited with the top honor of "9th degree" in Chinese martial arts skills.

  • Excellent!

  • i think he lied about his age.

  • @Lee7676

I believe Lu Zijian is still alive today (I have not read anything suggesting otherwise). 800svet meant that he was 116 at the time he posted the video. He cannot prove his exact age because there were no birth records kept in rural China where he was born, but there is no doubt that he was born sometime around 1893. In this video he was probably in his mid-90s. A man like this has no reason to lie about his age. There are other videos of him around age 93.

  • @drummachinessuck

and even if he did lie, it still doesn't change the fact that an old ass man is moving like he's 20-something! so ne skeptics can suck it cuz they are truly missing the point behind this man's legacy. youth and longevity are yours for the taking if you want it =)

  • @drummachinessuck

Yes, he is still alive. Almost 100% sure I would have heard about it if he passed.

  • Wonderful!

  • Simply amazing....this old man is a real prime living example of how he achieve to live such a long life and still looks very fit. Too often...other famous masters didn't get to live over 100 because of their poor lifestyle, eating too much bad calories food that contained fatty acid, drinking strong alcohol which shorten their life span no matter how skillful is their martial art. This old guy always sleep no later than 11 and only eat good vegetables. They should learn from his example.

  • is he still alive>?

  • dao dao dao

  • what, no heavy metal and sun glasses?

sorry; look up "Yujiro vs Kaku Kaio" and you'll get the joke.

  • he may be over 116 years old, but he moves like a young dragon weaving through the clouds

  • How old exactly is he in the video? I saw an older video with him at 93 and in very good shape. Her I think he might be over 100, but I'm curios if he's actually 116 (this year I think he should be 118 or 119). Many thanks for posting it.

  • Just the results of clean diet and a body that is transparent to chi, because of years of proper practice. The abundant free flowing chi nourishes the body just as it was designed to and the cells rebuild, replace, repair and defend to their fullest capabilities. This wonderful old gentleman is not a liar, he is a fine example of what is possible. It is a shame, that it is so rare as to be disbelieved when seen.

  • @daveygrokit

You forgot to mention that he has not to live in a harsh environement, like Scandinavia, I think this would have shortened his lifespan

  • @daveygrokit well said

  • @daveygrokit LOL simple simple ppl .

  • @daveygrokit It is beautiful to see Mr. Lu's Ba Gua; but I do not think free flowing chi is necessarily the result of martial arts practice...look up Peace Pilgrim's videos where at around 70, she throws up her face and says, "I no longer walk on the energy of youth...I walk on that endless energy that comes from working for the good of the whole." (She walked across the United States in 55 days) I don't believe she ever practiced chi gung...only being true to her conscience...100%.

  • I want to bash this feeble old man's womanly hairless bum so hard that it will smoothen out his ass wrinkles!

  • wow!!! he moves like a very young person!!! nice!

  • The Asian version of Hugh Hefner...

  • I guarantee he's not eating McDonald's crap.

  • @meticulum His favourite food is tomatoes ;)

  • @meticulum that doesn't matter. Good luck finding anything on this planet that isn't overwhelmingly polluted, starting with the air.LOL

  • @meticulum TT Liang lived over 100 and ate Mcdonalds regularly. lol He also ate Twinkies!

  • I wonder what this man eats, on top of having the probable ability of having a no stress lifestyle

  • @joeynovak2

    Genetics

  • @aheyne

    Genetic is only an excuse

  • I guess that means I'll live to be 147 then.

dude, there are many descendants of Jacob among the Jews who don't live past 80.

  • tell you what; if I reach 137, I'll start wearing sun glasses, and I'll challenge a man-monster to a fight!

and to a heavy metal soundtrack!

  • @joeynovak2

    And it's nothing special...

Plants, no meat, drink water. Don't stray from it. People always act like there's some miracle longevity pill..There isn't.

  • where did you get this information?

  • @HealthQuestion

The last 50 years of research. Go find a credible (.edu) website, look for a scholarly search engine, and above all -- use logic.

  • @HealthQuestion

However, also remember that the Chinese are very fond of elaborating age. They love perpetuating longevity myths.. not in a bad way, just that it's part of their culture.
