By betting the river after checking the flop and the turn gave the original impression that he was trying to buy it. True in this situation he might have gotten more out of it, but that usually won't happen especially being in the hand with only the big blind. If Morris would have not acted so cocky, acting like it was nothing for him to re-raise there with the "eat some of that" line and singing while Daniel was trying to decide whether or not to call, he may have been able to fool Daniel into thinking he was bluffing and just trying to buy the pot. His entire demeanor helped tip Daniel off as to the strength of his hand. He should have sat there quietly and acted like that re-raise by Daniel actually scared him.
