  • @1x0randomdude0x1

thank you for your consideration but i'd rather not, wheres the adventure in that.

  • I loved all of Kaki King's songs except for this one. It is only now that I have learned to understand and adore it.

  • קקי !

  • the most beautiful song I've ever listened to.

  • looked all over to find this track! love the movie and the song even more.. brilliant!!

  • jebańce nie pozwalają w liście odtwarzania słuchać!

  • this is beautiful!!!

  • I love this song. It's so full of emotions, deep and warm. I like the evolution that it has too. It's like a journey in one's mind. Beautiful. Really nice pictures too :).

I've done an instrumental with my guitar and a friend, a cello player, and kaki king is an inspiration for sure. Try "The Dewdrops - Night of Wonders" if you got 4minutes. Thank you if you listen to it, really really :).

  • Bought the soundtrack for this song :-(

  • Beautiful

  • Kaki... VA KAKA

  • 3 years ive been searching for this song. finally<3

  • For everyone whose lives were changed by the book and the film, please: TAKE A FUCKING GOOD MAP WITH YOU!

  • @1x0randomdude0x1 Brilliant. Brilliant.

  • I had a boyfriend that told me that this song reminded him of us. We would lay together in bed listening to this song, listening to each other, thinking about the entirety of our relationship and taking it all in. The ups and the downs. It frightened me and soothed me in a way. It was an objective way of looking at us from a different view. I loved it. And I still love it. I will always remember this song as our song.

  • @RockabillySensation now every time i hear this song, that's what i'm gonna think about... just beautiful.

  • Purely transcendent music

  • "if you want something in life reach out and grab it"

  • On December 2010 I drove from San Jose,California to Key West, Florida listening to this song what an adventure......

  • C'est superbe..

  • your photos are fitting to the song. I love Kaki King's music. beautiful photos

  • haha 100k! yaaay

  • @brokenxheartbeatx should have at least 100 million

  • At this point in the film, we see Christopher leaving, his sister (Jenna Malone) narrating, and a broken hearted Traci Tatro, (Kristen Stewart) almost begging him to stay......all while Kaki is working her genius on guitar. I think it is an AMAZING MOMENT in film history. It has three of my favorite women, and one of my favorite, but doomed real people, all within about 10 seconds of each other. Tuesday 6-28, I'll be two tables away from Kaki at the Evanston Space. :-)

  • @Davethreshold lose the boner...

  • @BaseParkour Well that's sick and inappropriate. Looks like you lost your channel asshole. LOL

  • @Davethreshold Everything you just said was the most highly rated fail on the internet. Kristen Stewart has nothing but one expression. Your devotion and love to this song, is unbelievably sad. I'm just saying, there are other things on the planet to get excited about. But like I said, that above reply, makes absolutely no fucking sense. Just saying. Might want to stop being a retard if you're going to try and be funny.

  • @BaseParkour Oh no. It's back. Well, you are a piece of crap, ignorant TROLL. Nothing more or less. This is a whole thread on people who LOVE this song and then you come along and say that. THEN there is the no-talent, musicianless garbage that you seem to LOVE. Pale, and weak in comparison to somebody who actually plays an instrument, and is a Rolling Stone listed, “Guitar God.”

  • @Davethreshold Seriously man, life is too short to walk around claiming every one is a troll and is weak. You're getting a boner over Kristen Stewart. That's all there is to it. I haven't commented on the fact that this song is amazing. My best mate covered it, in fact he covered it better in my humble opinion. Don't insult me man, you're a retired lecherous man who enjoys womens figure skating. And as far as my music tastes go. I listen to music as it comes.

  • @Davethreshold and another thing, calling me ignorant, after calling me an asshole is quite controversial don't you think? Not only have you spelt that wrong, you've insulted me, then called me the troll. Oh how lol your life must be. Don't reply, please don't, for the sake of my humanity. You're just uppity because you have nothing to do other than to post about an actress, that, well, can't act. This song is immense, I love it. However like I said, there are better things to get excited about.

  • I'd listen this song everyday, and i'm dreaming away.

  • C'est tout simplement trop bon!!!!!! tant de légèretée!!! cette chanson fait réver!!!

quel regale d'écouter kaki king !!!!!!!!!

  • makes me want to run when it drops

  • beautifully composed. but what i find most interesting is that the song is called 'doing the wrong thing' its just ironic that chris left slab city and travelled up north and therefore met his end. so he did the wrong thing.

  • this is amazing, i want words to it though! someone with julia stone's voice or something..but its still beautiful!

  • i love this song so much. these pictures fits perfectly to the song. it also fits perfectly to Into the Wild <3

  • Amazing!!!

  • What album is this song on? Where can I get it? It's not on either into the wild soundtracks....

  • @ggandyman40 Hey there, I know it's annoying. It's off an album by Kaki King called Legs To Make Us Longer. I just had to order it because I couldn't find it on either soundtrack OR on iTunes. Things we do for the love of music!

  • Learning to play this song made me love the guitar.

  • great , do you know where can i buy this song in french???? thanks

  • One of the things that I noticed about this masterpiece was the beautiful, sensitive music. Now I'll watch it again, just to hear Kaki's interpretation. I didn't know it was her. Takes me a while sometimes to connect the dots......

  • I'm so happy becouse I found this song. Amazing!

  • Was led to this song by a link from Eddie Vedder's song Setting Forth. This is an amazing song.

  • Great movie. Although I though the book kind of sucked in my opionion.

    Beautiful piece of music.

  • "There is pleasure in the pathless woods,

There is rapture on the lonely shore,

There is society where none intrudes,

    By the deep sea and the music in its roar;

I love not man the less, but Nature more."

    — Lord Byron

  • Id have "done the right thing" and stayed in the trailer park with kristen stewart ..

  • finally i found it ! Thanks !

  • Brilliant pictures. I always associate her songs with being free in nature. She was perfect for Into The Wild.

  • @Saeglopur2 thank you. I've taken better pictures with better quality in the same places since I put this together.. i feel like I should update.

  • @brokenxheartbeatx You should

  • @brokenxheartbeatx you didnt take these pictures. awkward.

  • @Saeglopur2 If gas wasn't $4 a gallon, I could drive forever and wherever while listening to this song. This song draws me to a plane I cannot find without it. Thank you, Kaki.

  • Since i've seen the movie i've been dreaming of leave everything, fuck up my whole life, enjoy wilderness, meet the true power of nature, you know what I mean.

This song is gonna change my life, as Kerouac and McCandless did.

  • @Fjackal McCandless was a self absorbed idiot who got himself killed. That's not something to be celebrated. He had no idea what he was doing out there.

  • @RoboDouche Maybe he wanted this to be like this, you are not the person to say that he was and idiot...he had is own priorities and meanings.

  • @TeamTwinsanity He went into the wilderness without a map or ability to find food. He starved to death through sheer incompetence. That he did so indulging his bourgeois fantasies about nature does not make that any less stupid or banal. I am sorry he died but am also disturbed people could reconstruct his tragic and avoidable death into something supposedly profound.

  • @RoboDouche Isn't it more a celebration of what he did, left everything behind do just do whatever he wanted. He wasn't confined by anything. I think for someone to be that limitless in this modern world is pretty profound.

I would imagine that is what's profound about Into the Wild. It is a very romatic story I think, about naievity and discovery. Very corny but well worth the praise it recieves. But perhaps you are a RoboDouche and can't see the value in the tale.

  • Each time I listen to this song i cry...It makes me feel terribly alive!

  • Goose bumps

  • Hurr durr money is pointless imma go to the wilderness kill bears with .22s and eat poisoned berries. I'm at one with nature, i transcended the evils of society and material wealth.

One hippy down, thousands more to go.

  • @CptJackass325

While I disagree, you did manage to make me laugh so ima have to thumbs up heh

  • dugo nisam bolju cuo..

  • That song fits perfectly with those pics. I'd love to run by those places while I listen to the song. Heh heh.

  • @Ottison thanks :) theyre pictures i just took while i was out and about lol

  • @brokenxheartbeatx Hehehe. Awesome. :)

  • @brokenxheartbeatx

yea they are pretty good pics

  • My favorite song from a beautiful movie. I remember seeing this movie in giant grocery store at like 1 am two years ago in a red box for rent for like 2 bucks. Needless to say I didn't return it, The late fees for non returning were well worth it. The road is waiting.

  • 0:41 is the into the wild goodbye scene i love so freaking much.

  • thanks "into the wild"

  • Amazing movie... The movie with the best soundtracks ever...

  • Favorite song from one of my top 5 favorite movies. Too bad iTunes doesn't have it! (or if they do, someone let me know!)

  • This song reminds me that beauty is the best goal we can set.

  • this movie changed my life! :(

  • this movie changed my life! :(

  • @shandogsvideos agreed!

  • .......i'm trying to do the right thing.

  • Love Kaki...nice photos .......so calming

  • Really... No words...

  • This movie and book are life changing! And the movie had a kick ass sound track. Kaki king is so damn good

  • @Mike1891138 soo damn true

  • @Mike1891138 If it changed your life, why are you on the internet? ;)

  • @Mike1891138 I am on that same page, Mike. I will be a Kaki King/Michael Brook/Eddie Vedder fan forever. What a wonderful story. What wonderful music. Thanks to those who brought this story to us. Love you, Carine! And you know who I am : )

  • since i watched the movie, i've searched for this song. and i searched for hours. then i found this, and since then, i'm in love with this song ♥ and also with kaki king (:

  • It's notthat hard to find a song used in a movie... It's called waiting until the credits are on and reading the text. People honestly need to use more cognitive function in their everyday lives and maybe... just maybe... then we wouldn't have dumbasses being elected into office and making the world such a moronic cesspool of jackassery.

  • r U talking about Jackassery?!! Honestly, take a mirror - have a good look - breathe - think and then have a walk into the wild ...

  • i'm not dumb, it's just not that easy to find one song in like 25, used in a movie. i didn't have any idea, which song it could be, of which singer or whatever.. there were just sooo many songs and i couldn't search each one on youtube, you know..

  • Just a tip:

You should try the IMDB next time, they have also a lot of info about soundtracks.

Besides, all movies closing credits' show the used music.

the rest of het album is also nice. the track Frame is also used in the movie.

  • my mate sent it to me. idk how he got it tho

  • @brokenxheartbeatx

think, it's on her 2nd album 'Legs to Make Us Longer'.

    Maybe helps?!

  • @brokenxheartbeatx Thanks man! You made me cry... I was looking for this song 3 years... When I found it, I felt like a settler from the Gold Rush that found his gold vein... You made my day!

  • How did u get this song. I am trying to get it on itunes but i can not find it

  • This song always keeps me going when i wake up in the morning and feel way to lazy to get out of bed, works in a motivating way for me I guess. =P

  • oh i knoww. the movie is amazing and all of the songs fit in perfectly. the book is good too

  • i love the complexity of emotion that this movie ties to this technically simple song....i can't get it out of my head
