Well, I remember this show, I love anything she (Anna Patty Duke) is in, but I thought it somehow just missed it's mark. The premise of "he's a little younger, I'm a little older" wore thin quickly, the writing was fair at best and to quote Helen Lawson, "the show just needed a little doctoring". With a few minor changes, it might have fared a tad better.

Haha. Nope. I asked Duke in 2002 if she remembered who the director actually was and she couldn't remember. There was a lot of friction on this set.

BobCNN (now BobTWCAtlanta) is a user who posts comprehensive network primetime TV show opening videos from 1979 onward. Karen's Song indeed did not show up in his 1987 batch; I think the only Fox show intros he had from that year were Married..with Children, Tracey Ullman and Mr. President.
