How is the the E3000 optimized for gaming if wireless-N has a 300 Mbps max transfer speed? Other than the Dual bands (which I don't need) I don't see any other reason why the E3000 would be better handling games than the E1000. If anything your ISP would be responsible for your internet speed not your router.
I've had several customers telling me that their internet speed was not optimized because of their routers... So I demonstrated that to them by bypassing their router and connecting them directly to their internet connection...No difference at all. needless to say, they were on their phones screaming at their ISP's.
gamers open your eyes wireless routers are targeting us to spend $100-500 for more coverage and better signals "why are they selling 4 different E series and the last one is for online gaming forcing us to buy a crap spaceship piece of shit this type of shit makes me want to quit playing games it's stupid
what would be the difference or differences between the e1000 and e300? i'm looking for a router for my ps3 and laptop. would i be able to notice a difference?
With this router u can't change uf NAT settings cause when you change it and save it, it apparently doesn't change so don't get this if u wanna use it for xbox or ps3 or something it's TERRIBLE
@PhillieBRidin For gaming I would go for the E3000, it has extended wireless coverage and is optimized for wireless gaming and streaming HD video. Personally I like wireless better because there are less cables.
@xyila18 Yeah sitecom CAN be good IF they provide a router that HASNT have a MESSED up firmware...........not that that ever happened to me..........-_-"
@PhillieBRidin i would be inclined to say if you have the choice of wireless or wired, go wired. the connection will be more stable and arguably faster. if you go wired, the E1000 should be fine. if you intend to go wireless perhaps the E3000 would be better. but really, is it worth the extra money to do something wirelessly?? thats your call
The light you were not sure of is a status light showing that the connection between the router and the internet is established.
