it's the way he stresses the "you" it's fairly similar to how Bellamy would sing and his phrasing of words. But the music in whole reminds me of another band...more emo rock than alternative (Muse).

Torn in Two had a song where one of their players (the singer, if I remember correctly) would hit a big floor tom with a big ol' mallet that they made out of PVC pipe. By the end of that part, the pipe was shattered on the drum because he'd hit it so hard. But it was AWESOME!
