How long did it take for you to start seeing any results? I just ordered a the HairMax Laser Comb after trying out so many other products that did not work. Over the past 2 years I've lost over 85% of my hair from having alopecia.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@ToffeeChips19 So sorry to read about your Alopecia. I started noticing a real difference after 2.5 months, but I went to a clinic and did laser treatments in addition to using the comb at home.
@uranorexic SHAME ON YOU FOR BEING SO RUDE!!!!! I did my best to provide good pictures. This video was not that great so I did another one that was as accurate as I could make it. I moved in the 6 months in between pictures so there is no way I can replicate exact lighting and positioning. It's easy to attack others when you are in the comfort of your anonymity isn't it. SHAME ON YOU!!
I agree that was rude. I must say I could not see "much" difference but to me that just meant that this is real and not advertisment. While "I" can't see much difference in the video you backing that up with your comments gives me a good feeling about this product. THANK YOU for taking the time to help those of us who are trying to decide! :-)
Hi, thanks so much for your comments. I appreciate your thoughts. When I did it there were absolutely no before and afters online so I just wanted to help people decide. I didn't have a MAJOR problem so, yes, the difference is not that easy to see.
How is your hair now? The top of my hair is like yours was. This is really, really bumming me out. I used to have such long pretty hair and now on top it's thinnig. Ppl are saying things. What type of Dr. do I see?? Could I be lacking some vitamins or something?? How much was the laser treatment and what type of Dr do I see? Also do I ask them to do a complete blood count on me?? Are you done with your laser? Is laser a one time thing also? Thank you so very much!
@xXpiano3loveXx That was my thought, exactly. In the before pics, her hair is not groomed and the camera is at a closer angle with brighter lighting. All those variables provide for an illusion of thinner hair.
@StellaisBack, Great video! Did you ever see the LaserCap? It's totally hands free and has over 200 diodes. Fits under a hat too, so you could wear it out and about and no one will know you're growing better hair! Check out my review of the LaserCap, when you get the chance. Keep up the treatments!
all i can say is i was on everything, started the laser and for the first time in yrs...WAS HAPPY AGAIN!!!!!!!!! im still taking propecia but 1 yr and my hair is slowly gorwing back, i didnt havr full results in a yr, im guess ill have full head in 6 more months. THANK THE WORLDDDDDDDDDDDDDD im only 22 so needed this bad!
@demarrage you idiot iam sure i read in lots o places propecia kills your dick...you lost your manhood cause u wanted to grow hair???you a moron sir cheers
@demarrage HEY since you did the laser treatment, i was wondering does it cost alot? i was thinking of trying more than just rogaine foam which i been using for years
@concerned11 Dude shut the hell up, I took Propecia for 2 years and I was absolutely fine. Don't blame your own sexual frustrations with your wife on a medication.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@concerned11 You are an idiot. You should have known the side effects of taking Propecia (Finasteride) in healthy men. It is used for an enlarged prostate, but since you were so superficial and worried about your balding head, I bet you didn't bother reading the full list of disclosed side effects.
Don't let vanity hit you on your ass on the way out idiot, and next time blame yourself, not the drug company.
@malik9211 It was 35 dollars per treatment. Once a week at 30 mins for 6 months. I believe people do need to go back to maintain their results. I have not had to though and my hair gets better every day. Has been 1 year since my treatment ended and I'm really happy.
@StellaisBack What was the problem with your hair? How long was the bald spot on your head before laser light? How do you know your hair didn't just grow back. Maybe you were depleated of minerals.
@cortezforever I was experiencing slow thinning over 6 or 7 years. Got to the point where the front hairline was getting noticeable thin. Did all the blood tests. Nothing found. Was told to start Rogaine, but didn't want to use it for the rest of my life. Decided to try the clinic laser and it was great. No regrets and have fantastic results.
@StellaisBack You look so young even though i can't see your face. My hair has gotten thin in the middle just like yours but the hair is still there what do you think? But it's only been 6 months or so.
@cortezforever Well, if it is because of the hairstyle, I would suggest taking the corn rolls out for a while and letting your hair breathe. If it does not start to grow back in 6 months then seek treatment. Oh, and, massaging the area for 10-15 mins a day may help to bring blood flow to the follicles and regrow the hair. Don't jump into treatment so soon. You may not need it.
@StellaisBack well isnt LLT a treatment you would have to use for the rest of your life? what kind of specialist did you see that required blood test? thanks
@sanchopanza123 I guess it depends on the type of hair loss you are experiencing. I went to dermatologists and an endocrinologist before I decided to do LLT. Blood test with endocrinologist came out normal. I believe my problem was more due to the sebum in my pours being trapped. It then was damaging the shaft and caused miniaturization. The combo of laser and shampoo seem to have fixed the problem for me. I have not had treatment in over a year.
@usafpayne It was actually the clinic laser that i used. First 90 bulbs then half way through a 6 month treatment 130 bulbs. Yes, me hair got shinier and is overall far more healthy than it was before. Of course, my hair is highlighted in the after photos, so that helps too.
I did use some topical stuff for the first 3 months, then I got lazy and stopped using them. I also used a herb shampoo they gave me but have stopped using it and my hair is still great.
i got mine really cheap on ebay , just put in item # 220526694136 in the search box. it was only 59.00. and it works , . its much cheaper than the reatil of $199
With all due respect, I disagree. I'm not a professional photographer and I did my best with the photos. I really did see a difference in my hair after the treatment. I posted the videos upon request in hopes that it would help others. Will it make a bald person grow a full head of hair? Of course not. I do, however, believe that for some forms of hair loss, especially mild female thinning, it has proven to be successful.
OMG StellaisBack your results are fantastic! Can you please let us know where you had treatment? Are there different types of lasers? I'm interested in this treatment and there's a lot of clinics that provide laser therapy.. I have no idea how to choose.
Dr Feller's work is good. However what puts me off is the website I visited which has nothing but shills who seem to spend their entire lives on the said forum promoting him at every opportunity. One poster in particular wasn't happy with his first HT, goes back for a second one where he gets half as many grafts as the first but all of a sudden appears to have about 5x times the amount of hair on his head!!!
Are you considering an HT then youtoobdiva?r profile says you're 18 which most people would say is far too young to be considering one. How good your transplant would look depends on how thick your hair is in the first place and the level of loss you have. If travelling is no object, I'd consider Hasson and Wong. As I said, Dr Feller's work is good. I should know as I went to him. However, my hairline still leaves a lot to be desired and I feel I still need another 2500 grafts in the front.
Furthermore, it's not circulation that affects a hair follicle's growth, but its predetermined lifespan (for people who are balding due to genetics) and vulnerability to DHT. For persons losing hair due to stress or hormonal changes (telogen effluvium), altering a diet high in omega3-6-9, balancing hormones, removing stress, and checking your blood iron should help with regrowth.
I have to agree with nexteller. There is no change in the hair density in the images, just different partings and lighting conditions. I have actually undergone laser hair treatment for hair loss and can vouch that the laser does nothing. Info from my dermatologist: once hair follicles are dead, they cannot regrow.
It is very difficult to shoot pictures in the exact same position and lighting. I did my best. I don't know that I grew and new hair. Probably not. What the laser did do was increase the thickness of my existing hair. Have no issues with hair thinning anymore. Have not had a treatment for 4 months and this is after years of slow miniaturization of my follicles. Friends and family notice the difference too. My hairdresser commented today on how much better my hair looks than before.
It's not that monochromatic LIGHT can't transilluminate the skin to a certain depth, the problem is that LASER light, also known as COHERENT light can't penetrate to the follicles. LLLT proponents claim that it is the LASER quality of the light that offers the benefit. Since the light can't reach the follicles in laser (coherent) form, the product CAN'T work.
So I'm 22, and I've begun losing my hair near the top corners of my head (just about temples) Its really begun to distress me and I have some extra money to spend... Is this hairmax laser really worth it? or should i try rogaine? 600-700$ seems like a SMALL price to me if it really works.
well...let me tell you this...the hairmax laser works but not to its full potential, i was 16 and losing my hair, i currently am using a 66 laser device thats about the same price as the hairmax and its worked realy good.....it took about 4 months but it deff works...let me know if you are interested
Dr. Feller you are the one who makes crappy and failed hair transplants, creating more unhealthy hair. Laser has a real therapeutic value, it increases the health of the hair which StellaisBack is a wonderful example of. her hair looks gorgerous and healthy. Very unlike the hair transplants you do Dr. Feller which are unhealthy and crappy, and trust me, the world will know more about this soon.
If all you can do is stoop to sophomoric insults and personal attacks, we can't have any dialog.
My review of Stella's video clearly articulates why LLLT did nothing for her and why it is a disingenuous presentation. You can either refute my statements or not. You have chosen NOT to.
Thank you for the effort Stella, but those photos are far from convincing. There is no cosmetic change whatsoever IMO. You have simply changed the style of your hair or angle of the photo in each and every before/after coupling. The last one where you show one side of your head in the before and the other side in the after is particularly telling.
Lasers can't reach follicles, therefore they CAN'T work. Sorry, but that's reality.
nexteller: why are you such a moron? There are hundreds if not thousands of studies done on the therapeutic value of LLLT in regard to inflammatory skin conditions. Incl. hair loss.
cant you just piss of? It is such a drag to have ignorant people around constantly.
That is FANTASTIC, Stellaisback! Also, I must say that is a great idea putting it in video form.
My one year results are coming up soon soon (and they are amazing, of course... I mean why wouldn't it be?? The science backs it up!), so maybe I'll completely copy you and do the same thing!
why are you doing this, you dont even have hairloss?!

This drug causes PERMANENT SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION!!
Many men have committed SUICIDE as a direct result of the drug's after-effects.
Also, don't believe the Propecia-WIkipedia Page, Merck has "locked" it, preventing victims and doctors from voicing their concerns.
If you have hairloss, just use an anti-dandruff shampoo and take high-dose saw-palmetto.

Thank you sincerely for your effort though.

nexteller: why are you such a moron? There are hundreds if not thousands of studies done on the therapeutic value of LLLT in regard to inflammatory skin conditions. Incl. hair loss.
cant you just piss of? It is such a drag to have ignorant people around constantly.

have you ever put a simple flash light against your hand to see if the light transfers thru ? well it does!
so why wouldn't a laser be able to reach a follicle less then 2.5 cm below the scalp?
Think about it!
