seems like in this video you still as noob as you were... xD first... your creations are as noob as you think they are... secound this way to use pistons to farm is not the best... when you have to step on the dark mud to get your stuff you still crap it all out... i would make the pistons 1 blok higher and isnted of using a botton i would use a lever... so, you activate, colect from center(yes it can be colected from center) and de-activate... no damage done...

I can think of one final improvement to improve efficiency. Create a second set of horizontal sticky pistons in the wall that activate on a slight delay to push across the top of the farmland blocks when they're elevated to push all the seed and wheat into the center isle. Sure it might degrade a few of the farmland blocks into dirt, but so will stepping on them to collect the wheat and seeds. ;)

This is interesting, but water is a better way to farm in minecraft. For a farm this size, I'd rather simply punch the grass. You mow through it pretty fast.

@zacharybaringer Why? I made a test of both, and I found it easier to collect with the lever. However, I have found that it is even easier with the lever if you put a block so that you can't walk into it. You see in the video that he is going down into the farmland and has to use shift. This slows it down, but if you used a lever and a block so you cant walk on the farmland and ruin it, you just walk along once and occasionally twice.

@zacharybaringer No, because with the button, you have to use shift t go over the farmland to collect the items, but with a lever, it would stay up for easier collection. You could get the same thing by lowering where you walk by one block so that when the pistons were off the items would be a halfblock above your height and so you just have to walk down the aisle to colect, but but switching the button with a lever you don't have to change that much if you already built it.

I don't get it on this game. Those things that we farm don't give anything good to the player. We cant even sell it. Why would we waste time farming? This 'game/sandbox' is so incomplete. I pity those who wasted time using TooManyItem mod coming up with sophisticated piston engineering just to brag to others that he/she can do it.

I actually have a similar farm on my channel, only mine stays up, and when you flip the switch it lowers it into the water stream that keeps it hydrated, knocking off the crops and the water washes them to the front, although only after I made the video did I think that if you're playing a legit game it's probably more resource efficient to have a few flood gates with normal pistons than to put sticky pistons under every crop.

@WtfMinecraft probably be better to use water and flood the farm, that way the farm is bigger and uses less pistons and the items can be directed to a single point. have a stream blocked by a piston head or a block held by a sticky piston so when the pistons retract, the water floods the items and brings it to a collection point.

You can also put redtorch under pistons, then you don't need repeaters. you gain space cause you can put your redstone next pistons.

This uses a lot more pistons than using two of them as flood gates. the flood gates also would push the resources to the end. Yours was very helpful to me; however, because I didn't know you could use repeaters like that to power pistons in a line. *Face palm*
