I was kinda hoping that he'd be an ally. Upgrading himself throughout the series and whenever they need help he arrives with some new gadget, although it does seem to be what they did with omega, people wanted gamma, gamma (as the robot) is gone so they made a new one (why 123 as the model number i got no idea as that now implies there's another 16 E-Series Enemies to destroy)

I really enjoyed gamma as a character, His story in DX was really easy, it was only this boss that posed any challenge

This game was incredibly fun. My 2 favorite things about this game were the unique soundtracks. All of the newer games, though they may have good BGM, don't compare to this game. The other was how the storylines of all of the characters intertwined with each other. Too bad my cousin scratched the game up. It never gets passed the loading screen when the Gamecube/Wii is trying to read the disc. And when it does it freezes at the title screen.

When Sonic and Robotnik were created, they were made to be opposites.

In a similar way, Gamma and Beta are opposites. Brothers that come to conflict with their opposing views. Gamma has an experience that makes him realize that Eggman's side isn't his path, and goes to free his brother's from their imprisonment. Beta is loyal to Eggman and wants to better himself. Gamma free's his brothers and Beta gains his power, & both fight to the death... And in death, find atonement and release.

@randomdude581 Uh, maybe you missed it, but Eggman powers almost every single one of his robots with animals. I'm not sure, but I think it's been that way since the first sonic the hedgehog. I'm pretty sure it applied for eggman's robots in both Sonic Adventure games. Some people theorize that the bird is what gave gamma his personality (meaning that he didn't die, he was freed). In Sonic Battle he was powered by chaos emerald shards and he had little to no personality.

@randomdude581 Probably not. I think the animals powering the robots have no influence over the robot's thoughts or actions. Gamma's might have been an exception. Perhaps his animal had a strong will that softened Gamma's emotions, maybe Gamma's emotions and personality had nothing to do with the bird-- he just had different programming than allowed him to adapt to his environment and change his personality as he saw fit. There are reasons why eggman might want such traits for a minion.

And then there was Super Mario All Stars being the first game I got for the SNES and SM64 being my first N64 game.

I like Sonic, but I know MUCH more about the history of Mario (in-universe).

To be honest, I only started playing Sonic games when they started putting them on Nintendo consoles (Gamecube), XD
