Yeah! Perfect record-transfer. Do you have the Chicken Delight - Ring-A-Ding cardboard record? Because i'm searching for this song in good quality cause i need to use it in a video. So if you got it it would be awesome if you could digitalize it like this one, thanks!
this was originally produced by the chicken delight chain of chicken restaurants according to a radio station in los angeles, there were one of their sponsers.and they still have the original. their jingle was; don't cook tonight call chicken delight.
WOW! Congrats on doing such a SUPERB record-transfer job. My well-cared-for copy doesn't sound nearly this good--this copy sounds more like a genuine vinyl single than a cardboard record! Also, thank-you for not chopping the end off like so many other people. What equipment did you use to get such a clean, detailed sound (without the annoying surface noise) from a cardboard record? I will be enjoying this tune (in good fidelity) for the rest of my life thanks to you. God bless.
A Stanton direct-drive turntable, an Ortofon needle, a Gemini mixer w/ 9-band Eq per channel, and a Sony CD recorder. Between a bit of Eq and, here's the real secret, bouncing it to mono, I was able to greatly reduce the amount of surface noise.
I had looked for other uploads of this before posting mine, and I couldn't find any. Abrupt cut-offs are a major pet-peeve of mine, so I try to be really careful about endings and fade-outs.
