I think it is pretty cool on how we can use different types of graphic files in order to make our illustrations stand out with a cool or special effect. The PNG file especially interested me. I learned on how we were able to make different pictures stand out from the background. I think these different types of files will come to good use when we have to have a certain project done that includes graphics.

I thought the more compression, the better, but now I know that file size and quality are inversely related to each other. So if there's no compression you have a large file, but a smaller file size comes at the cost of lower quality. I also didn't know what jpeg meant, but now I do, so cool... I learned that there are many files in which you can use for different types of photos. JPEC, GIF, TIFF, and PNG all have their own pros and cons that people can choose which one to use depending on what kind of photo they want. This is kind of cool!

Through this video I was able to learn all the file names, and for some, even how they were created or started. I learned that certain files are better for certain uses. For example, JPEG format is mainly used by digital photographers because it has unlimited color, or GIF is good for web usage, and through it, you can create animations. PNG is used mainly for it's opaque option, and TIFF is used for the fact that it's uncompressed, and very clean, for pritnting.

I never knew that different types of files have different purposes behind them. For example, I didn't know that gif has limited amount of colors but is excellent for web. Also, that meanwhile, jog has not limits to its color and show diversity.

I did not know that JPG means Joint Photographic Expert Groups. The video emphasizes different topics, which help me to have a better understanding about Jpg or Gif or Png, even though they all have different terms in all in one they have similarities, and work together.I also learned that is important to choose the color that is good for printing, because some of them, are good but just for the web and not for been printed.

For example, JPEG is not suitable for image with text and GIF is good for uploading a picture on a web. TIFF is good file format for printing as it is uncompressed file and PNG is useful because it is transparent while other formats do not. Now I realize that what file I should use.

I learned which file type is better to use and which type is used for each picture. I learned that when you choose what type of quality you want your picture to be (high,medium,low), you are basically choosing how much compressed you want your oicture to be. From this video, I learned the "behind the scene" of pictures. Like audio files such as WAV or MP3, there are picture files such as JPEG, TIFF, GIF, and PNG. Each one of these files can contain a different amount of pixels, which are the color boxes that shows color. The more the pixels, the higher quality you get from them.

A fun fact I also found out was that PNG used GIF's ideas and actually made a better file then it.

I've seen JPEG, GIF, and PNG when downloading photos from the internet file, but I never knew what it meant. Through this video, I learned why those letters and symbols are there, and understood what it stands for. One of the main things that I learned from this video is the JPEG files. By decreasing and increasing the amount of compression of the photo, I learned that the quality can differ!

This helps me a lot, especially the Jpeg files. I also learned other types of files i didn't know about before. I also learned about compressing the files, and that the picture becomes blurry when it is compressed a lot.

I also learned that GIF files isn't that pretty with the colors but is good with animation and the web.

I always thought that JPEGs were best, PNGs were for the oddballs, and GIFs were animated only, but now I know that each of them have a different quality about them. I was around the right track, but this makes it much more detailed, and now I know better about each type of file formats.

Thus, I think I'll be using .tif quite often now, regardless of its size, because I want pictures to have their highest quality. I learned a lot of new files such as JPEG which is a compressed version of a picture colors. I also didn't know that they were pictures that were not suitable for JPEG but I guess there is! Lastly, I learned about compression and how blurry photos can get by compression.

jpeg: you see all the colours, and it is a compressed version of a picture file. The higher the percentage, the more blurry the file will be. You lose the quality if you compress, but you have smaller file space. TIFF is the uncompressed version of a graphic. I learned about compression, and quality a lot in this video.

They all meant the same to me, but now I understand their main differences and can apply them significantly. The transparency tool in PNG is useful for transferring certain parts of graphics.
