It was really neat to learn about the different kinds of photo types. I thought JPEG dominated all of the photo types but it was nice to learn that other types have their pros and cons.
I never really thought about the different file formats. But now that I know, there seems to be a lot of differences. Knowing what each type of file format works best in each situation will really be of help.
This video really made me understand the different picture file formats. I really believe this will help me in the future throughout my learning career.
I have learned so much about the different image file formats. I really enjoyed learning all of them since they are all unique and fun to know. I really like them!
I never really learned about or thought about the different types of file formats, but now I learned that they're actually really different and I learned a lot.
I learned a lot from this video! I finally began to understand all these different graphic file formats and had something like a deja vu when you talked about RGB and CMYK. I realized that those acronyms stand for colors, but I never knew that!
I learned about different types of files. i was always confused between jpg, png, and gif. However, now i feel like i know a bit more about those file types.
This video was really helpful understanding all the different formats. Also it helped me to understand which one I should use in different situations.
I think it is pretty cool on how we can use different types of graphic files in order to make our illustrations stand out with a cool or special effect. The PNG file especially interested me. I learned on how we were able to make different pictures stand out from the background. I think these different types of files will come to good use when we have to have a certain project done that includes graphics.
Through this video I learned that there are many different types of files that you can use for pictures and photos. It was vry interesting to know which type of file maintains the most qualities and the colors which is best for printing.
I learned from this video that photos could be categorized into three types of files. This taught me the ways to use them well and how it can also be bad.
I thought the more compression, the better, but now I know that file size and quality are inversely related to each other. So if there's no compression you have a large file, but a smaller file size comes at the cost of lower quality. I also didn't know what jpeg meant, but now I do, so cool... I am so faking writing this comment. Doesn't anyone else agree?
I learned that there are three types of files that were used differently. But I thought some of the details need to be clarified because I don't really understand.
I learned that there are many files in which you can use for different types of photos. JPEC, GIF, TIFF, and PNG all have their own pros and cons that people can choose which one to use depending on what kind of photo they want. This is kind of cool!
I learned that there are different kinds of image files. I never knew about the different colors you can use, or the meanings of JPEG, GIF, and PNG. I know now which to use during which time.
Through this video I was able to learn all the file names, and for some, even how they were created or started. I learned that certain files are better for certain uses. For example, JPEG format is mainly used by digital photographers because it has unlimited color, or GIF is good for web usage, and through it, you can create animations. PNG is used mainly for it's opaque option, and TIFF is used for the fact that it's uncompressed, and very clean, for pritnting.
I knew that many different file types existed when compressing photos, but i never knew that there were these many kinds of different files that you can compress it to. There are so many options and different styles that u can compress your file. Technology sure impresses me
I never knew that different types of files have different purposes behind them. For example, I didn't know that gif has limited amount of colors but is excellent for web. Also, that meanwhile, jog has not limits to its color and show diversity.
The different file types really are based on the pixels and quality of the pictures. For example, jpeg loses quality but can be used for small file space. The type of files a person wants to use really depends on what quality or file space the person is looking for.
I knew there were many types of image format in computer, but I never knew what they do. However, After I watched the video over the picture formats, I was able to figure out some the the formats, and its functions. Now I know how to fix my quality problems with my printing pictures.
I learned a lot of essential and basic facts about things that we use everyday without knowing what they are exactly. Firstly I learned that JPEG stood for Joint Photographic Experts Group and that there are such files types named TIFF which is used to print out good images.
It was really interesting to see what JPEG, GIF, etc. means. I've seen those acronyms all my life, yet I've never known what they are, or what they do! I think this video will help me to understand which programs to use for my MV. :)
I didn't know that pictures had all these file types. I thought they were just there to look fancy or something. I only knew about JPG and GIF. I thought they had the same quality too. This video taught me a lot.
i didnt know what the file names meant. also, i learned so much about the files that i use everyday, and that was really interesting. i now know more about what file to use for different things.
I did not know that JPG means Joint Photographic Expert Groups. The video emphasizes different topics, which help me to have a better understanding about Jpg or Gif or Png, even though they all have different terms in all in one they have similarities, and work together.I also learned that is important to choose the color that is good for printing, because some of them, are good but just for the web and not for been printed.
The video helped me to understand about picture file formats. Although I knew that there different formats, I did not know that there are specific advantages and purposes for each file format. For example, JPEG is not suitable for image with text and GIF is good for uploading a picture on a web. TIFF is good file format for printing as it is uncompressed file and PNG is useful because it is transparent while other formats do not. Now I realize that what file I should use.
By this video, I learned about what kind of picture formats there are. I saw these formats every where, but i had to idea what they meant. I learned about what JPEG, GIF, TIFF, and PNG are. I learned how they were different from each other by the way they were compressed and how much color they have.
I learned different picture formats. For example I didn't know that GIF's only can have 255 colors. I thought they were for animated pictures. I had no clue that there was a difference between JPEG and PNG but now I know that quality wise things are different. How cool!
This video will be helpful in the future. It is great to summarize the different formats and now I will know which one to use when I print or use photoshop, for example.
I learned a lot about picture files that we lived along so long but never actually got the chance to learn about them. An interesting fact that I learned was that GIF has only 256 colors!! I thought all picture files had similar amount of colors, but I guess I was wrong. I didnt even know what TIFF was...until...now! tHank you
In this video, I learned all different kinds of picture formats like the jpec, png, tiff, and gif. I learned that the jpec that I use everyday is actually a compression of a real photo.
wow i never knew that jpeg stood for joint photographic experts group. The way how compression made a difference on the picture was interesting. The difference in name and the variety of image formats were knew to me.
This video helped me learn the difference between all the different versions of pictures and taught me how compression and resizing was not the same either. I think when I save files this will be an important fact to remember!
This movie was good for me because I've never even heard of GIF or TIFF files. I thought this was a helpful video and now I understand the differences and advantages between the different files.
This video gave me a lot of interesting knowledge about various file types. I learned JPEG, GIF, TIFF, & PNG. I never knew that PNG was made to replace GIF. I learned about dpi and pixels. I learned which file type is better to use and which type is used for each picture. I learned that when you choose what type of quality you want your picture to be (high, medium, low), you are basically choosing how much compressed you want your oicture to be. The video was very helpful because I learned alot.:)
I learned a lot about different file types on picture formats. I learned the differences and advantages of JPEG, TIFF, GIF, and PNG. Also, CMYK and RGB, which are graphics for printing or on the screen. Some have more pixels, and the quality of the photo can mean a lot
From this video i have learned about computer grapics the first time in my life, i was always interested in changing photos the way i wanted, well now that i know how to i am ready to learn more things bout it.
Also i have learned little things bout the JPEG, TIFF, GIF, and PNG.
From this video, I learned the "behind the scene" of pictures. Like audio files such as WAV or MP3, there are picture files such as JPEG, TIFF, GIF, and PNG. Each one of these files can contain a different amount of pixels, which are the color boxes that shows color. The more the pixels, the higher quality you get from them.
A fun fact I also found out was that PNG used GIF's ideas and actually made a better file then it.
I've seen JPEG, GIF, and PNG when downloading photos from the internet file, but I never knew what it meant. Through this video, I learned why those letters and symbols are there, and understood what it stands for. One of the main things that I learned from this video is the JPEG files. By decreasing and increasing the amount of compression of the photo, I learned that the quality can differ!
This helps me a lot, especially the Jpeg files. I also learned other types of files i didn't know about before. I also learned about compressing the files, and that the picture becomes blurry when it is compressed a lot.
I also learned that GIF files isn't that pretty with the colors but is good with animation and the web.
Anyways Thank you:) it helps a lot, when you don't really understand things about computer-0-;;
I always thought that JPEGs were best, PNGs were for the oddballs, and GIFs were animated only, but now I know that each of them have a different quality about them. I was around the right track, but this makes it much more detailed, and now I know better about each type of file formats.
I've seen all these file names before, but I never really knew what each of them represented how the quality differs from a format to format. Thus, I think I'll be using .tif quite often now, regardless of its size, because I want pictures to have their highest quality. However, it was interesting to see how you can rarely recognize the difference between differently compressed pictures.
I learned a lot of file types that I didn't know before. I learned that JPEG is the most commonly used file type for digital photographs. I learned about compressing files that that it becomes a lot blurrier when you compress it a lot. I found out that GIF files have limited colors but can be animated and is good for the web.
I never knew before what JPEG and PNG stood for when i looked through my picture files. Also, I learned which of which is better to use like GIF for animations and JPEG for smaller, compressed files.
I learned a lot of new files such as JPEG which is a compressed version of a picture colors. I also didn't know that they were pictures that were not suitable for JPEG but I guess there is! Lastly, I learned about compression and how blurry photos can get by compression.
jpeg: you see all the colours, and it is a compressed version of a picture file. The higher the percentage, the more blurry the file will be. You lose the quality if you compress, but you have smaller file space. TIFF is the uncompressed version of a graphic. I learned about compression, and quality a lot in this video.

JPEG IS JOINT PHOTOGRAPHIC EXPERTS GROUP. SMALL FILE SIZE. SOME LOSS IN QUALITY
GIF IS GRAPHICS INTERCHANGE FORMAT. CAN ONLY HAVE 256 COLORS. IT CAN BE ANIMATED AND INTERLACED. GREAT FOR WEB. 256 IS THE COLOR LIMIT
TIFF IS TAGGED IMAGE FILE FORMAT. GOOD FOR PRINTING. HUGE FILE SIZE
