@elephanta2 Pärn is great at combining all those different ideas and perspectives. And don't forget Manet whose famous painting "Luncheon on the Grass" actually triggered the idea for this movie.

@jafuso61 I have ever read "The Tin Drum", but I gave up to read it at the scene of the main character's father drinks a brooch, ouch! (it was too long for me at the time)

More people should know about this film. It is perhaps the most moving work of animation ever made. Disney bows to it's creative and stylistic superiority.
