i've always been curious, why would you call benoit he who should not be named? Sure, he might have killed his family, but just because he killed them, doesn't mean he didn't leave a badass legacy and rediculous ring presence.
and since you made fun of one of my favorite rumbles im gonna make fun of your favorite rumble in 07 the crowd was DEAD untill hbk even when rated rko came out they were still dead it royal rumble 07 sucked besides the last 15 minutes of it when it was in the final four and the last 2 other then that it sucked
xxpatrickizradxx... ran out of characters. That was my favorite rumble with exception of Ric Flairs rumble back in the day. So I am curiouse, what was it that made this rumble stand out for you. What made this one a fav of yours? And last I am wondering what I did for you to lash at me so rudly? is it because I have a diffrent opinion?
dude i was not rude but since you called me rude NOW I AM GONNA BE RUDE and your the one who is dissing my opinion i loved this rumble cause 1 it had jericho orton ted rey morrison and many more names chill out this was a HIGH FLYING rumble match there no stupid stuff like in rr 04-05 when kane beat down spike and when hassan beat down s2h YOU NEED TO GROW UP AND GO BACK TO FIRST GRADE AND LEARN HOW TO SPELL
that is messed up calling it the daniel crossface. you know how Jenny McCarthy had that "fights autism" bit recently. Well didn't Chris Benoit already fight autism.......and win.
haha, I was all set to defend my joke by saying, "No, what's actually messed up is killing your kid with your wrestling finisher after drugging him up" but you just topped it with that joke, I literally laughed out loud! THAT was messed up ;) ha, and it was hilarious
by the way matt hardy sucked when he came out in the wwe title match. when jeff was setting up the chair on edge, it was so fucking obvious matt was gonna strike jeff with the chair.
No suprise entry's I mean RVD kinda but not a big deal. There was no suprise on who is going to win it. (they spotlighted ortan to much) Undercard was kinda boring. I think nothing really stood out as far as I remember.
not EVERY RUMBLE HAS TO HAVE A SUPRISE ENTRY and y2j could of won hhh could of won taker could won big show could won (learn to to spell orton) ted also could of won MY PICK ORTON WON i thought this rumble was the best rumble since 2003 by far
not every rumble has too. I do think this one needed one. Really, y2j or big show could have one? Seriously? they hyped Ortan's storyline way to much, I feel they didn't leave a doubt in anyones mind. ( I spelled it wrong again, I wonder if your gonna get all offended and jump all over it!!) I would have loved to see Ted. I liked the first Rumble that Taker won. Michales taker in a texas show down was great, and the wrestling in the whole rumble itself that year was above par.
take your fan boy retardness else where. its not 'negativity' it PURE HONESTY . i have been a fan since 87 (born in 82) and agree, the product WWE pushes is god awful ....PERIOD. you want roses go watch horse racing...this is a panel of people who don't WANT to be negative but are given NO OTHER CHOICE. (ironically, ur comment on their video is OVERLY negative, hypocrite )
no im not saying always be positive, just find some, tbh the guy with the squeeky voice is a little too positive, but then the guy on the inside left of the screen is negative about everything, did he say chris jericho was crap?-thats just not true, and ftr i bin a fan since 1998 so im not some pg era kid
WE SAID SOME. We don't need to 'find' it if it's there in front of our face, btw, because we'll say it ; See our comments on the Rumble match itself & Mysterio's performance in the Elimination Chamber for two examples. "The guy on the inside screen," Zac, said Vickie Guerrero was good in her role & some of the newer guys in the Rumble match he liked. Anyway, I also encourage you to look up the comments history for this video for Zac's clarification of his Jericho comment
@Crookmeisteren These analysts don't need to prove to anybody about times where they were optimistic. Why so much negativity? Because... isn't there so much to be negative about? Try watching the brand weekly and find a way to pretend you saw something spectacular again.
Trust me yall will hear a lot from me, until triple h retires, orton successfully commits suicide, and a balck guy wins the wwe championship, so its safe to say yall will be hearing from me until the day after forever.
Yea I agree with you, and its a shame it has to come to that just to keep the brand fresh and entertaining. For every orton vs hhh or cena vs edge repeat we get there are a million matches that they haven't done that they could be doing instead. Its has got to the point where the Wrestling Roundtable is my fav wrestling show because at least yall discuss different topics every week. I can honestly predict Raw segment by segment so its no reason for me to watch it.
Well thanks very much for saying that! I've read the same sentiment more often than not from various people about our show, and I think most of us feel the same way. So thanks very much once more and we hope to hear more of your input/thoughts in the future
The thing that really upsets me is they are going to keep that damn belt on Orton as long as they can without the fans killing themselves until HHH makes his big comeback and wins it back, and we will once again get another champion that everyone is sick of. Its a shame that WWE has become this predictable and dry. Its so much more the can do. What are they going to do when all the older guys in the main event spots finally give it up? Wrestling Roundtable any suggestions?
Well, they're pretty close to that. Undertaker, HHH & Michaels have been given time off and they needed it. HHH will be back sooner, but then like you said it's the same shit over again. Even Batista's overstayed his welcome at this point. It may be already happening but they're going to have no choice but to put someone new or different than those spots or ratings will continue their 7-year average downward trend. There's going to come a time where they'll have to change or die ala 96-98
I get you guy's are sick of the same guys hogging the title and the main events. But with Orton I don't agree his charachter progression has come a long way since sumerslam 07 where I thought he and Cena had a great match.showing he can work a match.
We all wanted to see more factions/stables Orton also brings that to the table, as for his in ring work I am not sure how big a part of him being relatively poor in-ring has to do with move-set restrictions and him not having to much say back-stage.
What about Jeff Hardy Winning the WWE championship against two of the most over guys in the buisness at armagedon 2008 i would like to hear your thoughts
HHH & Edge I wouldn't call 2 of the most over guys in wrestling compared to Hardy. Hardy is their biggest seller on ShopZone every week, and Cena's a hell of a lot more over than either of those two, but anyway, I hate Jeff Hardy but the smart move business-wise was to have given him a title run a year ago and even now to have kept it on him longer. All he was ever going to be allowed to be was a transitional, token champion, and given how much $ he brings in, maybe they should rethink that
Orton is no where near the best heel they have had in awhile. They have been pushing him for 5 years and he is still stale. They pushed jericho as a heel for 2 months and he became the top heel in the company. So of course they hide him on smackdown so all the attention can be back on orton so they can once again shove him down our throats even though everyone knows he is average at best. "Age of Orton" my ass. Holla at me Wrestling Roundtable
Hollering, heh. I certainly only speak for myself on this, and I disagree with the other panelists & what they said about Orton obviously, but yes, Orton does absolutely nothing for me as a character, a promo or in the ring. People are in to him, now(again), because he's been pushed as McMahon's hard on for him continues, but even though I'm not a huge fan of Jericho either I think it'd be safe to say that people genuinely like him more, yes.
orton only become champion at 24 to be the youngest champion ever as brock lesner wanted to leave wwe do the football stuff and wwe didnt want brock lesner as there youngest person to become champion!! as he left on dodgy terms!
the host dude looks like a fag with dried yellow cum in his mouth. these are just a bunch of the guys who dream of the "glory days" who sit at a table. fuck you
The 'host dude' has a name, fyi, Mr. Too Lazy To Read Or Pay Attention. And please, if you're gonna make gay jokes, yellow cum? WTF? Did Big Bird cum on my face or something? Who the fuck has yellow cum? You should probably see a doctor.
Having Ted win would be a WCW thing they loved the swerve lol. I'm thinking to next year at the rumble, they may make Jeff the winner at best unless the old test gets him ( And I dont rate him). If not its already one of the same old guys. Who the fuck cares make a new star. Urrrrr is it still 1998?
I don't mind Kane and Finlay because Kane never had a grand world title run, and Finlay NEVER won a world title. Mark Henry, even though I really want black wrestlers to be successful, just doesn't fit in the Ladder match!
I honestly think that the main reason the WWE had him in there is because he's headin home to Texas and he'll probably somehow climb the ladder (supposing it would hold his weight) , rip the briefcase off the rope, and be the winner.
They had the wrong people in MITB this year Kane, Finlay, and Henry should not have been there and hopefully they don't book Punk as a weak ass champion like they did last year
Yeah, because all those other guys who did it - maybe Crippler Ray Stevens? - are SO associated with the move and people don't think of Benoit at all because it was his finisher, never happens. I must image those "BEN-OIT" chants when other people do it now.
I have a name, dipshit, as apparently you can't read or don't care to know things. As if Rhodes & Dibiase getting squashed by the McMahons is Cody & Ted's faults? Duh
and adding to that just because they win the rumble people still wont care, theyll just complain and change the channel. Also, RVD got the biggets pop only because it was a cute comeback and ebcause it was in detroit. that doesnt mean hes more over than the regulars on the roster.
So biggest pop of the night means he's not more over than anybody. Uh huh. Well, your username is perfect because that's Russo logic if I ever heard it. As if RVD wouldn't have gotten just as big a pop anywhere else.
RVD absolutely would not have got a bigger pop anywhere else, lets say he was in texas i guarantee his reaction wopuld be way less. Secondly, ya he might have been more over on that night but only because it was a shocking appearence. Lets say he was brought back full time he definately would not be near the top in terms of overness.
No way, RVD - I think - would have gotten just as big a pop anywhere else. I think you're simply underestimating how over the guy was/is. We're talking about a guy that got himself so over within a few months of his full time debut in 01, he was put in a PPV main event with Austin & Angle, when he was a heel! And if he came back full time now, he'd be just as over. In all my years going to shows, I never NOT heard RVD get a huge reaction.
RVD not over?yea right and how long have you been a fan of wrestling?RVD was one of the most over guys ever,he had that almost stone coldesque image about him, that wwe didnt utilize properly.
How long have you been able to read, i never RVD wasn't over, he was popular and had a huge following. I said that he just wasn't THE most over guy on that show.
Ok the reason DiBiase didn't throw Orton out is because that would be stupid, he just made his debut and now hes heading to wrestlemania and winning the rumble. That would be a joke. Same thing with Swagger, they needs to let these midcarders develop instead of taking a "risk" as you call it on them and making them win the rumble. Because guess what? you might think they are good but no one else cares for them yet.
Yeah, ok, just because he "just" made his debut automatically disqualifies him from being considered, stupid me. Kinda like how that stopped Yokozuna too, eh? The rub and credibility that goes along with winning a Royal Rumble is much better suited to people who are already over or being pushed, now I get it. Yeah, because if Dibiase or Swagger had won the Rumble, they'd lose a million viewers overnight. WTF is this silly shit?
If DiBiase or Swagger won the Rumble there would be less interest in wrestlemania and there would be less wrestlemania buys. especially if DiBiase won, because he has no positive qualities.
You can't say that simply because of their name or current status. Who's to say they wouldn't have thought up some interesting angles or good material for them if it was either one of them in a title match as opposed to Edge/Big Show/Cena or Orton/HHH? In fact, they actually would have had a reason for Dibiase turning on Orton ; because of Orton's "tough love" kick to head. Hey, I don't like Dibiase at all, ok? But, just being that's he new I'd be interested to see how he does
I still think it would be stupid because Legacy JUST formed and having it self destruct already would seem like a waste of time. Swagger vs. Cena could be decent with the all american american vs. the american hero, maybe that would be good at the GAB but not at Wrestlemania. Im all for pushing a midcarder with a rumble win, but at that time they didnt ahve any midcarders who were popular enough to deserve that push.
You're right that the Legacy just formed, but they also have a big reserve of 2nd/3rd gen. guys in FCW too, heh. Hennig's boys, D.H. Smith, etc. And best of all, they're all white! ha, so no problem like w/ Manu! They could easily insert one or two of them in there had they done my Dibiase scenario. I guess we'll agree to disagree on this one, but I don't see pushing a midcarder possibly higher by winning the Rumble to be so dire. Besides, they have NWO to get out of it if it doesn't work :)
i think dibiase is actually talented, cos ive seen some of his work in some indy and japanese promotions, and theyre actually good, wasnt he in NOAH for a while or something?and i wud take him over orton as a main eventer anyday lol
Thats cool that you've seen his work, i dont really care. The fact of the matter is this: hes bland, hes borin, he has the charisma of a plastic plate. Ortons bland too just not as much as DiBiase. You are settling for a sub par talent because you, like most wrestling fans, are desperate to see the next big thing in the business. Well DiBiase isnt it.
I'll have to admit, overall, having ANY member of Legacy winning this year's royal rumbe is a farse. Orton winning the Rumble was expected, but it shouldn't have happened! We seen him LAST year for the title AGAINST HHH. This one will not be any special. At first I liked Legacy because it featured the descendants of other pro wrestlers. However, I was immediately turned off when the WWE released Manu. I thought WTF?? Cody and Ted are shrimp fries compared to Manu and you kick HIM out??
Cody and Ted are only where there at because of who their daddy's were. Cody looks like a guy you used to stuff in a locker and Teddy only has the same asshole/tool smurk Orton does. the legacy will be overpushed leading into the already crashing and burning bus known as WWE.
Got to say i love your segments, you guys should talk about new japan and all japan wrestling, especially when some of the american and canadian wrestlers would wrestle there at times. One match that was awesome was when hogan wrestled muta, i tend to like japanese pro wrestling more than american pro wrestling now a days (no pun intended).
great content again guys, but i have to comment on the improvements on the show. improved 400%. nice clean audio, great intro. can't wait to see more.
PS: maybe it's time for a new match concept (what idk b/c we've exhausted everything like Eric said) or at least space it out. go outside the box (there it is again) and what a good while before another EC. that was another problem I had w/ NWO. I know they wanted to bring Edge back into the fold, but Kofi had the potential to do something spectacular inside the chamber, maybe boosting him to maybe World Title status. WWE drops the ball again.
Great show. Love the Intro...Though I'm always begging for WWE to go outside the box, w/ some things:"If it aint broke, dont fix it." if the majority will eat it up w/ seeing HHH, Taker, etc. every time, why not? I thought Rumble & NWO would be throwaways, but they were ON POINT. My biggest problems though: Chris was right, Swagger did have a good match at NWO; not enough surprise in the Rumble match; we knew Edge would win, but why dump Rey out the WHC picture after a performance like that???
Thank you very much, though I could go for never hearing the title "The Hoff" ever again, ha. I just hate it when "The" it added to things needlessly in an effort to sound hip or cute. I blame The Rock. ANYWAY, heh, the sentiment is very much appreciated, we should be on TV!
I have a major problem with two chambers matches talk about watering the ppv down my god but its not as bad as tna's lock down. Tna fans dont bother replying your promotion sucks deal with it. Now back to the chamber. You throw in all those guys and having bullet proof glass smashed almost every time and the same spots and its just apathy. In stead of two cage matches oh sorry "chamber" matches why not just do a war games. I know vince hates it because it's not his idea but fuck I miss it.
The Royal Rumble always ends sucking! For all the reasons you mentioned. They could have anyone win that damn thing and have it exciting for that one moment. Then turn around and ank it away on Raw or No Way Out (not every year of course), and give to Orton or whoever the hell they are forcing upon us that year, and make Wrestlemania suck. but for that one moment Royal Rumble would be different and fun to watch.
Hi Eric, I liked the second part of your video. The bit about No way out, it had a good variaton of guests - with you bieng more of an "indy" based wrestling fan, plus bret and chris who are more "mainstream" based.
ps: I remember saying that you should make a t-shirt making fun of Marks/Smarks, want some more suggestions, eh? lol
Thanks very much, glad you liked the switch up. I'd hardly call myself an "indy" based wrestling fan, heh, but I see your point(Bret knows nothing outside of WWE). I think our t-shirt is pretty blatantly anti-mark, btw. Check out the back! Thanks again
You guys have come a long way. Congrats on new layout and Web site even though I've given up on watching wrestling on TV. And I'll be looking out for that Bobby Lashley discussion soon since you all can't talk about MMA unless it's Prowrestling-related.
Thanks very much, we appreciate your words of support and encouragement! I'm not sure if we're going to discuss the Lashley match or not because, even though I had hoped to have seen it, it looks like a good portion of us will either be at the ROH 7th Anniversary Show in NYC or just plain not watching it, but I'm sure we'll catch it on the internet the next day, heh. I'm sure we'll find a way to get in to it though so stay tuned! We're in the same boat TV-wise though ;)
predictability in wrestling is not always a bad thing, case in point, Michaels and Flair from last year. Everyone knew Flair was going to lose, but it was one of the best matches of the year last year in my opinion. Unpredictability can actually be a bad thing, case in point, WCW World Heavyweight Champion David Arquette
That's quite frankly all he needs to do to get the crowd riled up. The RKO is the most over finisher since the Stunner, and the Punt looks legimitately dangerous.
This Wrestlemania card is lackluster I think is because they haven't made any new stars and WWE are always relying on Edge and Orton and triple H or Cena(which although I can't stand, I understand). Why can't someone like MVP main event or have Jeff go to Mania with the WWE Title. I mean, he gets cheers everywhere he goes. Why can't MVP have a big match but instead have to be a MITB match. We all know he won't win.
Nice shout with the cage matches not feeling any different Eric. It comes down to everything just being along 1 single line with no room for deviation, when in fact characters and feuds are best done when they are natural and not going on a fixed script. From the Rock/Austin feud to Bret/HBK to the recent Jericho/HBK one, the feuds which have been given the room to work with have been a lot better than the say normal HHH/random heel or Edge/any face feud. The same goes with characters as well.
I am sure you guys have heard by now but Andrew "Test" Martin is now deceased, I just want to say that I miss him and I hope you all do as well, he will be missed by me and again I hope he will be missed by all of you as well
the elimination chamber should be used once every....2-3 years
It's a monster of a cage! Why overuse it?? Especially twice in a row on a ppv that is not one of the "big four" (Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Survivor Series, and Royal Rumble)
What about Owen Hart and Scott Hall? Ted DiBiase, Roddy Piper and literally 100s more?
I never hated him, but it does kind of bother me when people who constantly bad-mouthed him before he died are now praising him non-stop now that hes dead.
I see. I understand where your coming from. A top guy, sure. But World Champion, hardly.
I mean, from 2001 to mid 2002, I thought he was on his way. But all in all, he just seemed like an enforcer type. Decent wrestler, but little to no personality. No offense, just saying.
Pff, so every tag champ should get a world title reign? Some should, like Scott Hall, but he was far more than just a tag-team wrestler. He went beyond that.
Test had some things going for him (like his size) and maybe in today's WWE he could be put in that kind of position, but when the WWE cared more about who they pushed it wouldn't have happened. And that's when he was around.
whoa whoa whoa!! I am not saying anyone who wins a "tag team" title should be a world champion!
I am just saying if you basically spent your time in the WWE collecting almost every single title, you might as well get the world title! and yes, when Test wrestled, there was a fair amount of good WWE stars getting the world title! Right when WWE startes sucking, Test should've stayed and gone for a world title shot... but as you said...it was never going to happen under
Just because someone wins a bunch of titles does not mean they are entitled to be world champ. Guys like X-Pac, Billy Gunn, Albert and others held a bunch of titles but I would never let them near the main-events. I remember back in 1999 there was an internet rumor that they considered giving Test the title but it never worked out, probably for the best. Test was a decent mid-carder and it sucks he's dead but he wasn't main-event material.
Test...okay, he was a mid carder material...but that would've been different if he did become world champion...
but that's just me! I know for damn sure I make a lousy wrestling promoter. I'd give titles left and right LOL. But then, I doubt I fuck up as badly as Paul Heyman or Vince McMahon...
Still...IMO I would like to see Albert w/ world title. IMO he kinda reminds me of Rhyno, except with more bodyhair LOL.
I hate to defend Triple H, but saying Test had better in-ring skills than him? That's just ridiculous. HHH has had a lot of classic, great matches over the years. Test has had maybe 1, and that's stretching it
I honestly think Test would've done A LOT in the ring, perhaps just as, or more than triple H.
Triple H has one finisher, test had like what? 3? And yeah, Test is probably not a main eventer....but would it be interesting if he DID get such a push?
I never saw him wrestle and don't care to, so I couldn't answer that. The whole gimmick completely turned me off from the moment I heard about it so I didn't give him a look at all, unfair as that might be, heh
let me put it this way, I think the gimmick itself killed him rather than his in ring skill. His in ring ability was fair, he did a suicide dive on MVP. The fans were...yeah bored of him and THAT's the first time everyone was for MVP. The fans were cheering when he "attempted" the playmaker. LOL
Kizarny's finish was a double arm ddt, but when he slams MVP, he somersaults him into a tacky pin cover. I liked the attempt, but it totally failed.
Interesting question. I would think so seeing as he was just wrestling for them the other year, but then so was Crash and when he died not long after leaving the WWF they didn't do that for him either. Not even taking in to account that we're in the post-Benoit era, we're in the post-The Wrestler time - a movie that didn't exactly portray the positive aspects of wrestling. One has to wonder if they'll want to pay any sort of attention to yet another dead wrestler. I think they will though
In a way, that's basically what The Wrestling Channel (later TWC Fight when they started showing MMA and boxing too I believe ala The Fight Network in Canada) was in the UK before it went out of business.
In a way, I guess 24/7 is their own channel, but I hardly think they'd put a show on there that calls them on their own stupid practices, drug use and manipulation, heh. But thanks very much anyway, we do need a TV deal! :)
Pro wrestling is definitely not HBO's audience, heh. Besides, I wouldn't want to step on Maher's toes in any way! ha Though with the way this season's going maybe I could help, heh
Even though ESPN's an obvious choice...I have no faith in Disney at all! But then, this is "live action" televison, so you might get away with it LOL!!
*smirk* how about USA before RAW comes on?? LMAO!!! Christ as if the WWE ratings plummiting w/o competition wasn't enough!!
They should be putting someone like Evan Bourne in there. Sydal is monster over, and I just can't see the logic in not putting him in. Hell, even Morrison or Kendrick wouldn't be too bad.
Evan was out on injury...so that's a "logical" excuse. Dumb, but *shrug*
IMO even IF he doesn't win MITB this year..Evan's bound to win something!
even the idiots in the WWE, the same company that gave Kofi 2 title reigns, and CM Punk a WHC reign, can't fuck that up on Evan!
IMO IF the WWE's smart, I think Bourne will be a multi time champion of SOME thing! WHC....I can picture it, but I am NOT the guy who will give a wrestler a world title who is < 5 year employee.
There will be no aftermath, heh. The most that happened is WWE announced the family of dead wrestlers(The Von Erichs) on their website instead of on TV because they didn't want to show 1. a ton of dead wrestlers on one show 2. Remind us that nothing's REALLY changed since then, despite them trying to convince us otherwise
WWE picked up when Cena and Vince came back...but let's talk about TNA because I really love that show...It's not entirely the same thing but it gives me the same feelings that I had when I watched the real ECW (or ECf'nW)...but too me it seems like all the old WWE stars are going to return to the WWE (e.g. Christion) and it's gonna be gone...is Vince gonna buy them out or was that just a rumor?
I have no idea where you would hear that rumor, but that's all it is - a rumor. Vince McMahon has plenty more to worry about than some near insignificant(to them) little annoying bug nipping at their heels, heh. If TNA went out of business tomorrow, WWE might buy it outright - might, if it deems it even worth their troubel - but TNA I'm sure is way down the list of things on their minds at the moment
I heard it on TV...it was one of those things where I was flipping channels and I heard it on some show where they asked if Vince was gonna buy out TNA...of course it went to commercial and I turned the channel and buy the time I turned it back it was too late...It sounded true because that's when Chrision made his return back to WWE so I started thinking that all the old WWE stars were in TNA to promote it, make it big, and then it would turn to some WWE sh*t...or maybe I'm just a psycho,??????
WWE is hot right now but if they took risks and maid more possibilities at wm 25 it could be the hottest thing on TV now but what do they show for it:
big show vs cena vs edge:Show is boring but sadly I wud rather him win than cena or edge coz its something new
Orton v HHH:hhh still in the mainevent after 10 yrs and Orton v HHH we've seen b4 and shud be done with.I wanna see new maineventers.
what the hell are you talking about???? what did i say....??? because i was looking for my comment i said and i could not even find it which means that it must have been like 2 months ago so if you looking all the way back from like 2 ,3 months ago .. you must not have a life
I really find it a suprise you say Orton is shoved down peoples throat when he was getting a face reaction when he was a heel.
Im not calling you out or anything Im just saying

No suprise entry's I mean RVD kinda but not a big deal. There was no suprise on who is going to win it. (they spotlighted ortan to much) Undercard was kinda boring. I think nothing really stood out as far as I remember.
lilspiked 2 years ago
not EVERY RUMBLE HAS TO HAVE A SUPRISE ENTRY and y2j could of won hhh could of won taker could won big show could won (learn to to spell orton) ted also could of won MY PICK ORTON WON i thought this rumble was the best rumble since 2003 by far
xxpatrickizradxx 2 years ago
not every rumble has too.

(ironically, ur comment on their video is OVERLY negative, hypocrite )
redfury0156 2 years ago
no im not saying always be positive, just find some, tbh the guy with the squeeky voice is a little too positive, but then the guy on the inside left of the screen is negative about everything, did he say chris jericho was crap?-thats just not true, and ftr i bin a fan since 1998 so im not some pg era kid
Crookmeisteren 2 years ago

@Crookmeisteren If it was positive all the time it wouldn't be entertaining. Just saying.

Trust me yall will hear a lot from me, until triple h retires, orton successfully commits suicide, and a balck guy wins the wwe championship, so its safe to say yall will be hearing from me until the day after forever.
sfields425 2 years ago
Yea I agree with you, and its a shame it has to come to that just to keep the brand fresh and entertaining. For every orton vs hhh or cena vs edge repeat we get there are a million matches that they haven't done that they could be doing instead. Its has got to the point where the Wrestling Roundtable is my fav wrestling show because at least yall discuss different topics every week. I can honestly predict Raw segment by segment so its no reason for me to watch it.

Wrestling Roundtable any suggestions?
sfields425 2 years ago
Well, they're pretty close to that. Undertaker, HHH & Michaels have been given time off and they needed it. HHH will be back sooner, but then like you said it's the same shit over again. Even Batista's overstayed his welcome at this point. It may be already happening but they're going to have no choice but to put someone new or different than those spots or ratings will continue their 7-year average downward trend. There's going to come a time where they'll have to change or die ala 96-98
-E
WrestlingRoundtable 2 years ago
I get you guy's are sick of the same guys hogging the title and the main events. But with Orton I don't agree his charachter progression has come a long way since sumerslam 07 where I thought he and Cena had a great match.showing he can work a match.
We all wanted to see more factions/stables Orton also brings that to the table, as for his in ring work I am not sure how big a part of him being relatively poor in-ring has to do with move-set restrictions and him not having to much say back-stage.
hassan230786 2 years ago
What about Jeff Hardy Winning the WWE championship against two of the most over guys in the buisness at armagedon 2008 i would like to hear your thoughts
DeFyAnTFoX 2 years ago

Holla at me Wrestling Roundtable
sfields425 2 years ago
Hollering, heh. I certainly only speak for myself on this, and I disagree with the other panelists & what they said about Orton obviously, but yes, Orton does absolutely nothing for me as a character, a promo or in the ring. People are in to him, now(again), because he's been pushed as McMahon's hard on for him continues, but even though I'm not a huge fan of Jericho either I think it'd be safe to say that people genuinely like him more, yes.

RandomMindz 2 years ago
Putting in Kane, Finlay, and Henry who are old and slow will only hurt that match
tvcch3 2 years ago
I don't mind Kane and Finlay because Kane never had a grand world title run, and Finlay NEVER won a world title. Mark Henry, even though I really want black wrestlers to be successful, just doesn't fit in the Ladder match!
I honestly think that the main reason the WWE had him in there is because he's headin home to Texas and he'll probably somehow climb the ladder (supposing it would hold his weight) , rip the briefcase off the rope, and be the winner.

and adding to that just because they win the rumble people still wont care, theyll just complain and change the channel. Also, RVD got the biggets pop only because it was a cute comeback and ebcause it was in detroit. that doesnt mean hes more over than the regulars on the roster.
TheNextVinceRusso 2 years ago
So biggest pop of the night means he's not more over than anybody. Uh huh. Well, your username is perfect because that's Russo logic if I ever heard it. As if RVD wouldn't have gotten just as big a pop anywhere else.
-E, Wrestling Roundtable
WrestlingRoundtable 2 years ago
RVD absolutely would not have got a bigger pop anywhere else, lets say he was in texas i guarantee his reaction wopuld be way less. Secondly, ya he might have been more over on that night but only because it was a shocking appearence. Lets say he was brought back full time he definately would not be near the top in terms of overness.
TheNextVinceRusso 2 years ago
No way, RVD - I think - would have gotten just as big a pop anywhere else. I think you're simply underestimating how over the guy was/is. We're talking about a guy that got himself so over within a few months of his full time debut in 01, he was put in a PPV main event with Austin & Angle, when he was a heel! And if he came back full time now, he'd be just as over. In all my years going to shows, I never NOT heard RVD get a huge reaction.
-E, Wrestling Roundtable
WrestlingRoundtable 2 years ago
he was a heel? the way he was getting cheered at that time, i would've he was the only babyface in the alliance.

How long have you been able to read, i never RVD wasn't over, he was popular and had a huge following. I said that he just wasn't THE most over guy on that show.
TheNextVinceRusso 2 years ago
maybe maybe not, but he is CONSTANTLY an over wrestler! Name one day a crowd goes silent for RVD! Hell! He was over during the InVasion angle!!
RandomMindz 2 years ago
Ok the reason DiBiase didn't throw Orton out is because that would be stupid, he just made his debut and now hes heading to wrestlemania and winning the rumble. That would be a joke. Same thing with Swagger, they needs to let these midcarders develop instead of taking a "risk" as you call it on them and making them win the rumble. Because guess what? you might think they are good but no one else cares for them yet.
TheNextVinceRusso 2 years ago
Yeah, ok, just because he "just" made his debut automatically disqualifies him from being considered, stupid me. Kinda like how that stopped Yokozuna too, eh? The rub and credibility that goes along with winning a Royal Rumble is much better suited to people who are already over or being pushed, now I get it. Yeah, because if Dibiase or Swagger had won the Rumble, they'd lose a million viewers overnight. WTF is this silly shit?
-E, Wrestling Roundtable
WrestlingRoundtable 2 years ago
If DiBiase or Swagger won the Rumble there would be less interest in wrestlemania and there would be less wrestlemania buys. especially if DiBiase won, because he has no positive qualities.
TheNextVinceRusso 2 years ago
You can't say that simply because of their name or current status. Who's to say they wouldn't have thought up some interesting angles or good material for them if it was either one of them in a title match as opposed to Edge/Big Show/Cena or Orton/HHH? In fact, they actually would have had a reason for Dibiase turning on Orton ; because of Orton's "tough love" kick to head. Hey, I don't like Dibiase at all, ok? But, just being that's he new I'd be interested to see how he does
-E
WrestlingRoundtable 2 years ago
I still think it would be stupid because Legacy JUST formed and having it self destruct already would seem like a waste of time. Swagger vs. Cena could be decent with the all american american vs. the american hero, maybe that would be good at the GAB but not at Wrestlemania. Im all for pushing a midcarder with a rumble win, but at that time they didnt ahve any midcarders who were popular enough to deserve that push.
TheNextVinceRusso 2 years ago
You're right that the Legacy just formed, but they also have a big reserve of 2nd/3rd gen. guys in FCW too, heh. Hennig's boys, D.H. Smith, etc. And best of all, they're all white! ha, so no problem like w/ Manu! They could easily insert one or two of them in there had they done my Dibiase scenario. I guess we'll agree to disagree on this one, but I don't see pushing a midcarder possibly higher by winning the Rumble to be so dire. Besides, they have NWO to get out of it if it doesn't work :)
-E

awo55 2 years ago
Thats cool that you've seen his work, i dont really care. The fact of the matter is this: hes bland, hes borin, he has the charisma of a plastic plate. Ortons bland too just not as much as DiBiase. You are settling for a sub par talent because you, like most wrestling fans, are desperate to see the next big thing in the business. Well DiBiase isnt it.
TheNextVinceRusso 2 years ago
I'll have to admit, overall, having ANY member of Legacy winning this year's royal rumbe is a farse. Orton winning the Rumble was expected, but it shouldn't have happened! We seen him LAST year for the title AGAINST HHH. This one will not be any special. At first I liked Legacy because it featured the descendants of other pro wrestlers. However, I was immediately turned off when the WWE released Manu. I thought WTF?? Cody and Ted are shrimp fries compared to Manu and you kick HIM out??
RandomMindz 2 years ago
Cody and Ted are only where there at because of who their daddy's were. Cody looks like a guy you used to stuff in a locker and Teddy only has the same asshole/tool smurk Orton does. the legacy will be overpushed leading into the already crashing and burning bus known as WWE.

WWE drops the ball again.
gabynum1919 2 years ago

The Royal Rumble always ends sucking! For all the reasons you mentioned. They could have anyone win that damn thing and have it exciting for that one moment. Then turn around and ank it away on Raw or No Way Out (not every year of course), and give to Orton or whoever the hell they are forcing upon us that year, and make Wrestlemania suck. but for that one moment Royal Rumble would be different and fun to watch.

Test could've easily been a huge star. In late 99, he should've been where Big Show was.
Survivor Series 99:
-put him into Triple Threat match to replace SCSA
-get back at HHH for ruining wedding
-win WWF title w/ help from Vince
-lose belt to HHH at Armeggedon thanks to Stephanie or first RAW of 2000 (like Show)
From there, who knows. Be involved in WM2K main event? Doubtful.
Instead, he got squashed by HHH (or mishandled by mgmt) & never reached ME/upper MC scene again.

predictability in wrestling is not always a bad thing, case in point, Michaels and Flair from last year. Everyone knew Flair was going to lose, but it was one of the best matches of the year last year in my opinion. That's quite frankly all he needs to do to get the crowd riled up. The RKO is the most over finisher since the Stunner, and the Punt looks legimitately dangerous.
Psychoblue 2 years ago
Oo I kinda find Regal's knee to the face a lot deadly than the "Punt"
but of course, you got part of the shin bone to worry about. In that case, Punk's kick is more deadly! Curse his Muay Thai (supposedly)

Scott Hall 4 sure should've been world champion by now!! Hard to believe he's not champ and is still kicking....

I see. I understand where your coming from. A top guy, sure. But World Champion, hardly.
I mean, from 2001 to mid 2002, I thought he was on his way. But all in all, he just seemed like an enforcer type. Decent wrestler, but little to no personality. No offense, just saying.
liknital07 2 years ago

- WWF European Championship (1 time)
-WWF Hardcore Championship (2 times)

I hate it when wrestlers win THAT many titles and NEVER a world title!!
Seeing Test just go out w/o a WWE world title reign is sad! although I heard he won a "world" title from an indy company....but it isn't the same!
RandomMindz 2 years ago
Pff, so every tag champ should get a world title reign? Some should, like Scott Hall, but he was far more than just a tag-team wrestler. He went beyond that.
Test had some things going for him (like his size) and maybe in today's WWE he could be put in that kind of position, but when the WWE cared more about who they pushed it wouldn't have happened. And that's when he was around.

I am just saying if you basically spent your time in the WWE collecting almost every single title, you might as well get the world title! and yes, when Test wrestled, there was a fair amount of good WWE stars getting the world title! Right when WWE startes sucking, Test should've stayed and gone for a world title shot... but as you said...it was never going to happen under
again, it's a shame
RandomMindz 2 years ago
Just because someone wins a bunch of titles does not mean they are entitled to be world champ. Guys like X-Pac, Billy Gunn, Albert and others held a bunch of titles but I would never let them near the main-events. I remember back in 1999 there was an internet rumor that they considered giving Test the title but it never worked out, probably for the best. Test was a decent mid-carder and it sucks he's dead but he wasn't main-event material.

okay, X Pac, I'll understand....
Billy Gunn MAYBE, but it'sa BIG Maybe!

Billy Gunn is not a maybe of any kind

imo triple h is the most overrated wrestler....maybe ever
666rocko 2 years ago
if only he didn't get so freakin greedy!!
Oo I wonder what the WWE would be like if TEST married Stephanie....
probably the same as triple h, but with better in ring skills LOL
RandomMindz 2 years ago
I hate to defend Triple H, but saying Test had better in-ring skills than him? That's just ridiculous. HHH has had a lot of classic, great matches over the years. Test has had maybe 1, and that's stretching it
-E, Wrestling Roundtable
WrestlingRoundtable 2 years ago
may I rebuttle?
I honestly think Test would've done A LOT in the ring, perhaps just as, or more than triple H.
Triple H has one finisher, test had like what? 3? And yeah, Test is probably not a main eventer....but would it be interesting if he DID get such a push?

speaking of carnivals
Kizarny released LOL pitty....he helped MVP go Over instead of himself going over! LOL
apart from the dumb gimmick, do you think Kizarny as a wreslter could've made it big?
RandomMindz 2 years ago
I never saw him wrestle and don't care to, so I couldn't answer that. The whole gimmick completely turned me off from the moment I heard about it so I didn't give him a look at all, unfair as that might be, heh
-E, Wrestling Roundtable
WrestlingRoundtable 2 years ago
I saw his debut.....
let me put it this way, I think the gimmick itself killed him rather than his in ring skill.
RandomMindz 2 years ago
its sad, I never heard so much silence for a debut wrestler who ISN'T jobbing in....YEARS!!
Like I said in my first post: find a new finisher, then we'll talk......so much for that!
Honestly, if it was up to me, I just change the gimmick and repackage him.
RandomMindz 2 years ago
Do you think WWE will have a small video package for TEST, or even a memorial picture at the beginning of RAW?
thelagacy08 2 years ago
Interesting question. I would think so seeing as he was just wrestling for them the other year, but then so was Crash and when he died not long after leaving the WWF they didn't do that for him either. Not even taking in to account that we're in the post-Benoit era, we're in the post-The Wrestler time - a movie that didn't exactly portray the positive aspects of wrestling. One has to wonder if they'll want to pay any sort of attention to yet another dead wrestler. I think they will though

Nice Show you guys really rule, you need a tv deal maybe one day when WWE gets there own TV Channel lol
JoeDawgJC 2 years ago
I rather have a TV channel featuring every single indy show in the world over haviing a WWE channel!
RandomMindz 2 years ago
In a way, that's basically what The Wrestling Channel (later TWC Fight when they started showing MMA and boxing too I believe ala The Fight Network in Canada) was in the UK before it went out of business.

In a way, I guess 24/7 is their own channel, but I hardly think they'd put a show on there that calls them on their own stupid practices, drug use and manipulation, heh. But thanks very much anyway, we do need a TV deal! :)

DEFINITELY HBO, right before
Real Time with Bill Maher LOL

Pro wrestling is definitely not HBO's audience, heh. Besides, I wouldn't want to step on Maher's toes in any way! ha Though with the way this season's going maybe I could help, heh

Even though ESPN's an obvious choice...I have no faith in Disney at all! But then, this is "live action" televison, so you might get away with it LOL!!
*smirk* how about USA before RAW comes on?? LMAO!!! Christ as if the WWE ratings plummiting w/o competition wasn't enough!!

I HATE to go racial again....but it is annoying me as hell
WTF the WWE tries to do an angle with Christian on his return
and yet keep R-Truth in the mid card????
Oo then again to be fair, both of them were on losing ends in their first ever title matches upon returning to the WWE.
but it still sux! Christian - MITB match!
R-Truth.......WTF??
Oh well, I'll give credit: 4 black guys in the MITB and Finlay! (I don't care about the other 3) But odds are the WWE will fuck THAT up
RandomMindz 2 years ago
They should be putting someone like Evan Bourne in there. Sydal is monster over, and I just can't see the logic in not putting him in. Hell, even Morrison or Kendrick wouldn't be too bad.
RoderickStrong 2 years ago
Evan was out on injury...so that's a "logical" excuse. Dumb, but *shrug*
IMO even IF he doesn't win MITB this year..Evan's bound to win something!
even the idiots in the WWE, the same company that gave Kofi 2 title reigns, and CM Punk a WHC reign, can't fuck that up on Evan!
IMO IF the WWE's smart, I think Bourne will be a multi time champion of SOME thing! WHC....I can picture it, but I am NOT the guy who will give a wrestler a world title who is < 5 year employee.
RandomMindz 2 years ago
Well I just said that cause WWE thought about it

WOW... we were just making fun of the guy on one of my vids :o
the guy was definitely on steroids still too. wonder whats the aftermath of this gonna be.
VeNeM999 2 years ago
such a shame....IMO
he was one of the few good wrestlers ever to wear pants!!
RandomMindz 2 years ago

Christion) and it's gonna be gone...is Vince gonna buy them out or was that just a rumor?
isaachaaze3 2 years ago
I have no idea where you would hear that rumor, but that's all it is - a rumor. Vince McMahon has plenty more to worry about than some near insignificant(to them) little annoying bug nipping at their heels, heh. If TNA went out of business tomorrow, WWE might buy it outright - might, if it deems it even worth their troubel - but TNA I'm sure is way down the list of things on their minds at the moment
-E, Wrestling Roundtable
WrestlingRoundtable 2 years ago

Orton v HHH:hhh still in the mainevent after 10 yrs and Orton v HHH we've seen b4 and shud be done with.I wanna see new maineventers.
