  • Interesting.. Bought one of These for like $5 at a garage sale a few years back. Thrills me to know they're actually valuable

  • Do you still have this? If so, I am very interested in purchasing it.

  • @dawnmlester Sorry, not for sale.

  • That thing is sweet! I always wanted one back when I used to record to Microcassettes all the time. I just uploaded a video of my collection earlier tonight, and this was in the related videos.

Do you have any stereo decks? I know they were really uncommon.

  • @Maxxarcade No, but I wish. That would be extremely cool to have stereo Hi-Fi music on a MICROCASSETTE, when you're used to small tinny, baseless sound.

  • Nice video BUT next time do a 2 part video instead of speeding up the video

  • How does the quick erase work? that looks a nice feature!

  • It erases the tape while rewinding.

  • I just picked up a RR-900. Older model. Going to test/restore and make a video.

  • audio cassettes gave birth to the first ever P2P network so respect to it

  • That was cool!

Hey, do micro-cassette transcribers usually come with equipment to transfer audio from micro-cassette to computer? I have a gigantic collection of micro-cassettes and mini-cassettes, and I can tell they're loosing their sound over time. It's way sad, but it's too true :(

If they do come with that equipment, where can I find one online as cheap as you got yours? (Did you say $24?)

I'd REALLY appreciate any help you can give me, as I am DESPERATE to keep my recorded audio...

  • If your computer has audio recording software, then hook the line out/speaker out of your microcassette machine to the line in/mic in of the computer.

  • @CassetteMaster Just a quick note, this works with regular walkman players aswell. Unfortunately I haven't found a better method than this, but it usually doesn't matter a whole lot.

  • What an interesting unit, it looks well built. Oh how I absolutely love the god damn Talking Heads, they rock.

  • What's with th speech speed, something went wrong with your recording.

  • Lol if you don't have arms/hands, you can still use the machine!!! :P

  • That's a nice machine. Is you're camera a sony handycam? I have one, and the "beeps" sound just like the ones yours makes.

  • Yes, it's a Sony Handicam.

  • Nice machine with clear sound! Great find! I've seen these on E-Bay going for a LOT of money.

  • do your ah one with it

  • HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!! that song "And She Was" by Talking Heads at 7.07.... I was JUST listening to that song before I watched this video!!

Also, cool microcassette recorder. That's the first time I've seen a full-size, high quality unit. I always seen the small, handheld ones.

  • ricky slow the avis down you used to make grate vids with out the speed ups

  • one of the best sounding micro cassette units i've heard, even the way it recorded, it sounds the nicest i've heard from a micro cassette

  • when you speed your videos up. I can't make out most of what you are saying...

  • when you speed your videos up. I can't make out most of what you are saying...

  • Oh, sorry. I have to do that to fit the video in the annoying 10:00 time limit...

  • It's fun to get OLD NEW STOCK that's never been opened or operated - it's like stepping back in time... great find Ricky!

  • I wish I could find new old stock stuff.

  • My aunt had one of these machines (not sure of the exact model, but it looks the same) and she'd record stuff as she thought of it for me to enter into her computer for her personal business.....i thought it was cool with that foot pedal, the speed control helped some too, i'd slow it down when she started mumbling. The microphone is VERY sensitive in this machine, i could hear her office chair rolling around as she moved around LOL

  • Nice find! It's not vintage but it's a cool micro cassette recorder for sure! Records music well!

  • The microcassette recorder records really well on those microcassette tapes.

  • It sounds like you used it's fast speed for the sound.

  • wow, i wish i had one of those o.o. i have one of the small ones you can just put in your pocket, and it sounds horrible compared to that :P

  • Mint in the box! Nice score!

    I love it :)
