This is, of course, steel, in a steel boiler, full of water, in the boiler room, of necessity below the water line i.e.up to 6 1/2 feet below and surrounded by water (the Clyde, which is class iv drinking water I've been told. This means you'll live ). It was between tides so were were well below the quayside. All in all, pretty low and insulated. So you'd think.... A mate's mobile went off. Now that was disconcerting.
