Thanks, I chose a VAWT as it is better suited to a more closer to ground application and and also because the dimensions had to fit into a car boot. To genterate the same output i calculated the overall span of the wings of a HAWT would have to be a minimum of 1metre overall 2m total span. This prototype has a mximum diameter of 50cm.
