  • R.I.P screensavers. One of the coolest tech shows on tv ever.

  • lol why sending this if you dont want kids to do it

  • burning the block diown is a good way to distroy the evidence when the fbi comes

  • kevin sounds like the crocadile hunter.

  • Blimey, these fellahs like to talk don't they?

    1:48 to 2:15 then 3:25 to 4:03

    The rest is safely ignorable.

  • I remember this when it first aired a couple years back. I miss the old tech tv, I miss TSS and I miss Kevin Rose lol. ALthough he now owns Digg and is one of the hosts of diggnation.

  • Yeah, good old days were the best.

  • apple hard drive in acid

  • 4000 degrees fahrenheit.

  • 2Al + Fe2O3 --> 2Fe + Al2O3 it doesnt burn with 4000 celsius like it was saying in description nor 3000 as that dude was saying it burns around 2500 and do try this at home its quite eassy i did it and im still alive

  • that is 2500 Ceisius

  • I have a video from this show but i dont want to get in trouble for uploading it, its the hardware hacking video with hackmaster joe grand

  • technically thermite doesnt burn so HA!

  • wait nvm that is thermite

  • its 4000 degrees F or 2200 Celcius.

  • yi knew how to make thermite when i was 15

  • If he's such an idiot, why is he already one of the richest people on the internet right now?

He owns digg by the way.

  • he got lucky, due to his fanbase, digg's idea is not an original one, nor is the code, it only became successful because K Rose is well known on the screensavers

  • Intelligence and wealth rarely have anything to do with one another.

Look to Ebay for another example of a crappy service/product making someone millions.

  • I love fire.

    IM A PYROMANIAC!!!!

    ARE YOU TO???

  • fire good!

  • There's a reason they used four pounds, you can't consider these people normal. Obviously it wasn't JUST to destroy the hard drive. They wanted it to look wicked cool, and it did. 5 stars.

  • 4lbs? an intern? they better study harder

  • 2,500 celsius and 4lbs is a bit much for a fucking HD dumb ass interns

  • Jesus, those people are idiots. 4 lb of thermite to destroy a hard disk? Well, given that they don't even know the melting point of iron, it's no surprise...

  • 2500 celsius

    4000F

  • thermite doesnt burn at 4000 degrees celcius.

  • Didn't know it would make that big of a reaction?

    Tried. To. Put. It. Out?

What an extraordinary pair of idiots.

  • thermite burns at 2500 degrees celcius NOT 4000!!

  • yup more like 4000 ferenheit

  • that will be good when the FBI finds out about my PC

  • what can u use that for 17hmr243???

  • 2 get ur cheap alum wich u need 4 thermite

  • thats not thermite

  • i found that if u scrunch aluminum foil up put it in 1/4 glass of water and use bar mixer u get nice fine granules pour in coffee filter wait to dry.

  • what's it do?

  • 2 get ur cheap alum wich u need 4 thermite

  • Four pounds!?! A gram or two would take care of your hard drive.

  • I have personally tested this and in order to make sure the platters are gone 2 to 1 tablespoons does the job real well. It burns through the metal case and the heat warps and burns the platters to a point nothing can be retrieved. If you want a hole all the way through you will need more like 6 to 7 tablespoons

  • i miss the old techtv not this g4 crap

  • AGREED

  • i agree with you =/

  • 1 pound is more than enough

  • use miuretic acid (?)

  • dear god. well.. you know what im going to do know.. being an unresponsible explosive-mad teen.

  • wow i would never do that to my pc!

  • nice post. destruction good.

  • It's not 4000 celsius :P - it's 2500 celsius/4500 fahrenheit as maximum

  • 4lb is over kill. Few grams of therm would be enough considering how the only way it stops is when it cools itself down.

  • Wow, 9/11 style.

  • cool, i bet the ants didnt think of this before me!

  • Don't do it in the house. Do it in your backyard. O_o

  • digg it.
