how to install a boost controller

Did you have any issues with the vsv? Also did it stop the boost limiting in 1st and 2nd gear? Annoys the crap outta me! How'd your get past the 16psi boost cut on the ecu?

Why do you have to take the boost line coming out of the actuator off? can you not just leave it on? and when you take the boost line off why do you have to block the old one and the new one off? I have an mr2 Turbo.

instead of taking it to the inlet side of the turbo you should mount it up somewhere on the intake manifold. this will give you a mos accurate reading and will perform better

@anotherhoe sorry but will hafto say your wrong the closer it is to the wastegate the more better it will perform as it has less distance to go to get to the wastegate if yuo put it on intake manifold it will boost spike alot thanks for your input tho :)

@directordc is the gt4 a good quality turbo? im also looking for a turbo upgrade, ive looked at hte vf39,vf34, and 16g. but most of those 16g's are chinese brands and the Sti's IHI turbos are kinda pricy :/

@ChicanoRockero gt4 turbo is crap get ether the newer st205 turbo or a t3/t4 turbo they go real nice on the celica can handle a good amount of power and are cheap and easy to rebuild thats the one i would of gone for just dont be goin running 20 psi on that one tho as it flows way more then standard gt4 turbo and ull blow ya motor 15psi will be sweet for that if you want ta buy a fcd hit me up

I own an ST185 GT4 aswel, bloody nice cars.....when you treat them right.

Unfortunately there are just too many nasty things in your engine bay, i feel really sorry for that engine, you just dont have any concept of what the air flow meter does, proof of this statement is your choice of blow off valve, the duct tape fix on the air intake pipe (i have done this once) and the choice of a bleed type boost controller...do you have a boost gauge ? if so what brand is it and what is your idle vacuum ?

@4rsnduction yes they are good engines but heavy cars the duct taped intake hose was replaced as its the last owners fault i know what the afm does been a mechanic for last 6 years i dont have a problem with stalling etc as ive adjusted the bov properly type rs blow off valves r a really good blow off valve id rather the SSQV bov the bleed type boost controller is good didnt keep it long as just took the wastegate off so it boosted its max lol 22 psi yes i have a boost gauge idle vacuum was 20

this is the same boost controller id ordered, i have a vw passat 1.8t, do i need to remove the n75 or ill install the boost controller without removing the n75, and how much psi can i put the car?

the old tube went from the nipple on the turbo inlet to the wastegate actuator so what you need to do is take that tube off the nipple on the turbo intake and the wastegate then put the the tube the boost controller is pointing towards onto the nipple on the wastegate actuator and put the other side tube that is coming from the other side of the arrow to the nipple on the intake of the turbo ill be doin a new video as soon as i turbo my rb20de so ill make a better one then will be in a week or 2
