I love the end scene with Olivia and Emma watlking out of the church and Emma saying shouldnt we find Natalia and tell her how much we love her and Olivia says she already knows.. so sweet... i cant believe the change in Olivia in what like 2 years... she is such a differant person now its wonderfull to see love change you and make you a better person ...and i wish i knew the names of some of the songs they play during there scenes...
This church/gazebo scene really was the highlight, so great written, played and cut. Unfortunatly it only went downward from that moment on. What a pitty, it could have been a great lovestory with everything it deserves. Mmmh makes me sad.

I'm watching this scene here and crying. I feel bad for both women because they want so much to be together but know what the ups and downs they will go through. and neither one of them want to hurt each other it's love but hell love can be such a freakin pain in the ass.
The lack of physical affection is what makes Otalia hard for me to watch. We ALL KNOW these two women love and adore each other yet they can't kiss, and they barely hold hands or hug. CBS and Proctor & Gamble have labeled Otalia's love as shameful and something that can't be even expressed with a quick peck on the cheek and for that I damn them (CBS and P&G)

Nat's face at 2:00 breaks my heart! She's so fragile in that moment that it actually hurts me to watch! And poor Liv not thinking she's ever good enough for Nat...
I love the way Liv turns away every time Frank gets physically close to Nat-like he is about to kiss or hug her...it is too painful for Liv to witness....

This scene between them killed me, it was so sad, you could see how heartbroken Nat was. How happy am i that she has decided to strap a pair on and fight for her woman?
One of the things that kills me in this ep is you get to see Olivia finally happy when Nat tells her she loves her, but by the end after Nat worries about the Coopers, Frank ,her guilt and shame and let's Frank kiss her and believe he has a shot, she's knocked the wind right out of Olivia and didn't even seem to notice until Liv walks away. Brilliant acting but so sad.

Also Skellfanton, interestingly, Romans 13 says "...one who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law... love is the fulfillment of the law". Through Jesus, we are free of the law, but to love your neighbor as yourself. If what these two characters have isn't love, I'm not a christian!

I was watching some old Olivia clips and I tell you she actually scared me.....she was having some altercation with Ava and yep she's pretty scary lol......it is such a good thing Natalia came into her life......and any time Olivia makes a threat I am so going to believe her......
That's what we are all waiting to see. Olivia was packing up her boxes the morning of the wedding but that was only becase Frank was supposed to move in once he married Natalia....I'm pretty sure the writers would have them continue to live together...Its a lot more angsty and "dramatic" that way.

I guess you don't have to call yourself a homo to have internalized homophobia! :-) The nice thing about this character is that once she sees what is really going on she will change and not look back. She has a natural integrity that is refreshing. But in the meanwhile you have to be able to tolerate a white hot glare and nuclear sarcasm. Polarize the hull plating!
This is driving me crazy. I am living this storyline. It SUCKS to be on Olivia's end of things. Please writers, give Natalia the courage ( and I do believe she'll be the one that breaks through)...maybe it will give me hope.
Thanks, nikskorpio. Given JL's impending leave, I would think they'd have to start rationing out the eps more to cover the time she's gone. I may be wrong in this feeling, but after the Wedding Intensive, I would guess we'd be back to 2 or 3 days a week. Then again, did I hear something about a May sweeps period in Soapland? So maybe they'll ramp back up then (fingers crossed.... please let it be a kiss, please let it be a kiss... ;-)
My heart broke as well when Liv said there is no us and told nat that she couldnt have her hate her for this, but I think Liv just needs to hear from Nat that she wont be ruining her life with this. And I think Nat will eventually come around, because lets get real, they cant let a love like this go, that would be insane! Nat is bereft without Liv and I know they will end up together, because love will triumph!
I dont think anything is gonna come of this...I think the writers took it this far to not piss off the fans like they do with other gay storylines. They went as far as not having the girl end up with the gay but see how Olivia said there is no us and nothing can come of it...I think they are gonna leave it at that.
As if it wouldn't piss us off if they left it here! Actually, if you read up on spoilers and interviews with CC & JL, you'll discover that the writers and actors are very committed to this s/l. Over on Big Purple Dreams (and also posted on CC's own forum) you'll find the transcript of a live chat with CC from last Friday. Olivia is clearly terrified, and in part covering her own terror with her heavy-handed concern for Natalia--as if the woman wasn't an adult who could make her own decisions.

Totally agree...I'm straight and I have been somewhat obsessed (understatement LOL) with this storyline for a while now. I want them to be together SO bad. They're perfect together! I honestly do not believe anyone who says they do not see the chemistry between these 2 because it melts my tv screen!

i think when natalia says, what is it we are feeling, she isn't asking a question as such but rather she is looking for reassurance from olivia. she still wants olivia to be the strong one, the one who provides the answers. however olivia is obviously too vulnerable, instead of saying 'you love me AND I LOVE YOU, she just says 'you love me...',. it's interesting to watch how everything the say to each other confirms they love each other, but everything they do denies this love
I've actually wondered, if this wasn't Natalia's way to ask for a kiss..*coughs*.
I know, pace of the story, etc.But, you know, sometimes a little physical contact does help with the sorting out of feelings..Or confuse the h*** out of you;-)

We are up one minute ("I'm in love with you") down the next ("there is no us") up again ("I don't love him I love you") then down ("What good is that kind of truth when it only hurt others") then up ("unusual interest in your maid of honor") and down ("your ashamed of it") ...UP ("You are my family. You are everything to me.") ugh DOWN ("I didn't know if I felt good or bad about that").. oh the ANGST!!!
This is good writing. Instead of saying "I am confused, I am conflicted", the characters act that out by making these confused and conflicted statements, talking at cross purposes and misunderstanding each other a lot. They play out the chaos they are feeling inside. This is another side effect of internalized homophobia...split consciousness, cognitive dissonance. You think, say, believe contradictory things. It messes with your head! Love must be their guiding light back to each other.
Little soap? This show has only been on the air 66 years longer than the L Word. It has taken the writers nearly a year to develop this relationship to the level it is now. If this was the L Word, Olivia would leave the wedding, go to the bar, pick up Doris and have a one night stand that she would be regretting later...
It is a great "awakening" story, but it needs to move ahead to what happens now. If you give soap opera writers too much time, they will screw things up. They only have a few more months to develop Olivia and Natalia as a couple and realizing what they mean to each other. So get on with the love story.
These two have great chemistry and they need to continue to work through their fear and confusion about their relationship. Just don't take forever!!!
As a fan I would love to have seen at least a bit of phyiscal acknowledgement between Olivia and Natalia. But Olivia was right Natalia would rather die then let people know her true feelings. Olivia on the other hand has been talking about hers for weeks with several people close to her and to acquaintances. Maybe Natalia needs some time to do the same thing. Big believer in true love and it takes time!
Brilliant episode! All the confused feelings and guilt about hurting Frank and his family. Love the bell ringing in the church during this last scene. Perfect ending to the episode with Olivia walking out of the church with Emma!

How in the world is this not a coming out story? If a woman is in love with another woman, she's at least not straight!!! Are you contending that these two women are actually straight but just happen to have feelings for each other....but that in no way makes them less than straight? They may not identify as lesbian, but it would make them at least bisexual.
Yeah I guess I am saying they are straight and happen to fall in love with each other. I, like the show, don't want to label it because I don't think it fits any of the existing labels. They aren't gay, aren't bisexual (simple because this isn't about sex for them), aren't completely straight by society's definition, aren't bi-curious or experimenting. It's a WHOLE NEW box for people to put them in. They know they love each other and want to share their lives...in an angsty way ;)

I think they are going to be on Wednesdays show..and yes, with a little bit of hand holding...;) I live in Ireland so it will be around 2am my time before they are posted...but I have vowed to behave this time and go to bed at a reasonable hour and not spend the night refreshing waiting for them to come up...I will get this Otalia addiction under control damit!! :D

That's what we are all waiting to see. Olivia was packing up her boxes the morning of the wedding but that was only becase Frank was supposed to move in once he married Natalia....I'm pretty sure the writers would have them continue to live together...Its a lot more angsty and "dramatic" that way.

I guess you don't have to call yourself a homo to have internalized homophobia! :-) The nice thing about this character is that once she sees what is really going on she will change and not look back. She has a natural integrity that is refreshing. But in the meanwhile you have to be able to tolerate a white hot glare and nuclear sarcasm. Polarize the hull plating!

Thanks, nikskorpio. Given JL's impending leave, I would think they'd have to start rationing out the eps more to cover the time she's gone. I may be wrong in this feeling, but after the Wedding Intensive, I would guess we'd be back to 2 or 3 days a week. Then again, did I hear something about a May sweeps period in Soapland? So maybe they'll ramp back up then (fingers crossed.... please let it be a kiss, please let it be a kiss... ;-)

My heart broke as well when Liv said there is no us and told nat that she couldnt have her hate her for this, but I think Liv just needs to hear from Nat that she wont be ruining her life with this. And I think Nat will eventually come around, because lets get real, they cant let a love like this go, that would be insane! Nat is bereft without Liv and I know they will end up together, because love will triumph!

I dont think anything is gonna come of this...I think the writers took it this far to not piss off the fans like they do with other gay storylines. They went as far as not having the girl end up with the gay but see how Olivia said there is no us and nothing can come of it...I think they are gonna leave it at that.

As if it wouldn't piss us off if they left it here! Actually, if you read up on spoilers and interviews with CC & JL, you'll discover that the writers and actors are very committed to this s/l. Over on Big Purple Dreams (and also posted on CC's own forum) you'll find the transcript of a live chat with CC from last Friday. Olivia is clearly terrified, and in part covering her own terror with her heavy-handed concern for Natalia--as if the woman wasn't an adult who could make her own decisions.

I don't understand why two people would go through all that trouble and in the end just throw it all away. I guess if natalia really loves olivia she should sort out her feelings first. Maybe olivia was a little harsh cause natalia couldn't admit those feelings. And that lied left frank even more eager to fight for natalia. Whatever.

i think when natalia says, what is it we are feeling, she isn't asking a question as such but rather she is looking for reassurance from olivia. she still wants olivia to be the strong one, the one who provides the answers. however olivia is obviously too vulnerable, instead of saying 'you love me AND I LOVE YOU, she just says 'you love me...',. it's interesting to watch how everything the say to each other confirms they love each other, but everything they do denies this love

This is good writing. Instead of saying "I am confused, I am conflicted", the characters act that out by making these confused and conflicted statements, talking at cross purposes and misunderstanding each other a lot. They play out the chaos they are feeling inside. This is another side effect of internalized homophobia...split consciousness, cognitive dissonance. You think, say, believe contradictory things. It messes with your head! Love must be their guiding light back to each other.

Little soap? This show has only been on the air 66 years longer than the L Word. It has taken the writers nearly a year to develop this relationship to the level it is now. If this was the L Word, Olivia would leave the wedding, go to the bar, pick up Doris and have a one night stand that she would be regretting later...

It is a great "awakening" story, but it needs to move ahead to what happens now. If you give soap opera writers too much time, they will screw things up. They only have a few more months to develop Olivia and Natalia as a couple and realizing what they mean to each other. So get on with the love story.
These two have great chemistry and they need to continue to work through their fear and confusion about their relationship. Just don't take forever!!!

As a fan I would love to have seen at least a bit of phyiscal acknowledgement between Olivia and Natalia. But Olivia was right Natalia would rather die then let people know her true feelings. Olivia on the other hand has been talking about hers for weeks with several people close to her and to acquaintances. Maybe Natalia needs some time to do the same thing. Big believer in true love and it takes time!

Brilliant episode! All the confused feelings and guilt about hurting Frank and his family. Love the bell ringing in the church during this last scene. Perfect ending to the episode with Olivia walking out of the church with Emma!

How in the world is this not a coming out story? If a woman is in love with another woman, she's at least not straight!!! Are you contending that these two women are actually straight but just happen to have feelings for each other....but that in no way makes them less than straight? They may not identify as lesbian, but it would make them at least bisexual.

They aren't gay, aren't bisexual (simple because this isn't about sex for them), aren't completely straight by society's definition, aren't bi-curious or experimenting. It's a WHOLE NEW box for people to put them in. They know they love each other and want to share their lives...in an angsty way ;)

However what makes me upset about it is the implication that all lesbian or bi relationships DO start out as sexual attraction...[and so what makes N&O different is that it does not.] I am a lesbian, and have had several serious relationships that all started as friendships, and that were about deep spiritual love and friendship and sex - alot like this one actually.
