Actually this isn't classic. It's new age, although yiruma prefers to phrase it as 'semi-classic' which he acknowledge is not the same as classic. He did say however that he wishes to compose real classical music someday.

I'm somewhat at a loss as to how I should phrase what I'm trying to say. I think the best way to explain is to say that if this comment was nothing more than a blank post, that would better explain my reaction to this song.

Yiruma's music lacks words, but somehow he manages to convey more emotion through his pieces than I could ever hope to experience from today's pop genre. When I hear this song, or any of his works, I find myself feeling nostalgic and weirdly hopeful.
