Battlefield 3 (BF3) input lag PS3 vs Xbox 360 (1/4 speed)

Xbox is definitely faster. I don't have any input lag on my PS3 though.

I had the same problem! i have ps3 and bf3! you need to go to options @ your tv and look up the gaming mode and turn it on! I did the same and it works great! only thing is that it wil look a lil uglyer but after 1 hour playing time you will not see the diferance anymore! GL!

@alexinh0 That'll only get rid of the input lag on your TV, not the one coming from the game as well.

@crustylion321 Are you retarded? DICE had to downgrade the engine on the XBOX version because the XBOX it couldn't handle it, why do you think it's on 2 seperate discs? Although it was only a few minor tweaks, the PS3 version is still better, graphics wise. Btw the input lag is only on HDMI TV's.

@AirTrackerGAMES 2 discs, one for single player, and one for multiplayer. That doesnt change the fact that graphics are identical on single player, and multiplayer. Also, xbox doesnt have input lag. and it affects all TV's, cause PS3 is shit. Ownd

@crustylion321 Whether having two discs makes a difference or not, they still had to downgrade the graphics because the xbox360 can't handle it. Everything has input lag FYI, nothing is "instant" although it may seem, it's just not as noticeable on the xbox360, you can fix this by LOWERING your resolution (or getting a non HD TV)

And tell me this, how come there is no input lag on any other video game I've ever played? It's not the PS3's fault, please educate your opinions before posting them.

@AirTrackerGAMES look, technically, the PS3 is a lot better graphically, but realistically that isnt the case because the multi-platform games always end up looking better on the xbox. And to fix the input lag on ps3, you have to lower the resolution which makes the game look worse lol, point proven.

@dirtygore I watched the Head2Head clips, graphics are identical. Missing effects doesn't matter, I dont care about effects. In the end gameplay matters, and PS3 has input lag, and shitty frames per rate.

@crustylion321 I watched the head 2 head clips as well, FPS rate was pretty much the same, apart from the 360 having larger frame rate drops at heavy moments, and the PS3 going above 40fps for some reason at a point during the cutscene about the PLR. PS3 version is the lead of BF3, Dice even said, and if the maker of the game announces that there's no going back.

@crustylion321 Not trying to fanboy though, both versions are perfect and the game itself is a beast, at least none of the consoles have as bad frame rate drop as Call of Duty, there's a reason why that's at 60fps :3

I didn't have this problem with my old 28" tv, but when I bought new 42" lcd tv this damn input lag came. Now seems like there's nothing to do

Doesn't imput lag deall with the TV. I think that's just PS3 lag from poor development and conversion to their system.

Ye itz SO TRUE! I got BF3 on Both 360 and PS3, How could DICE oversea such a thing is beyond me. BUT there should be a patch to resolve this and other issues in Feb. Letz hope it comes soon. BTW BF3 is Exactly the same on both 360 and PS3 (If they FiX the Input Lag on the PS3) - Likewise BC2 on 360 and PS3 (Only the water seemed different) :)

It seems like Dice might be getting their wish and this is getting swept under the rug. I search every day for news of a patch for this, and it's getting mentioned less and less. At the moment it seems their priority is to fix some cocked up weapons on back to karkand!!! There's a little bit mentioned about the VoIP problem, but even that's in the decline!!!
