I suppose I was refering to a comment that was innappropriate, but it is gone now.
If you get off of the 101 at Seaward, and go the the beach, just as you get to the sand, there is a little shrine to the left in the sand that is a memorial to the La Conchita victims. It is just impromptu, with candles, stuffed animals, and pictures, but that's what is is for. Very sad.
