You almost lost me mate... but you got me back again round 4:50. All I have to say is, though, is it doesn't matter what yer job is as long as you're not in customer service. I work 2 jobs, one's a 'nice easy going' convenience store, fuck no, abusive fukn customers, pays so-so, the others just fixing campervans, money's poor, but I get to listen to German punk rock all day. I won't get anywhere in life, but at least I'm treated with some courtesy.
these are the words that my unkle said to me a few years ago.. he was a realy outgoing bloke like yourself. but hes dead now. and since he passed away and i have grown up. i have forgotten the lessons he taught me.
Thanks fat bastard. Noosa's nice. I work for an coporate company in IT in sales. I have to wear a suit and pretend to care about assholes, but I'm secretly a loner nerd who'd much prefer quitely programming or fixing computers. I will start studying.
i hate my fckin job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol good vid i subscribed! i just think maybe aussie are more easy going so its easier 2 do what u just sayed! but in northern ireland its far different i really neda get outa this country! lol
awsome vid champ, pretty much what i needed as i just left my job afta 3 yrs of bein fkn treated like shit for most of it so i basicly told em 2 fkn shove it, its my life and i have fkn dreams 2 follow, the way the company is goin they can fk off haha, i worked 2 12hour shifts straight afta a heart scare and not a fkn peep puta managment. well fk them
My friend, you're right. Life is really short and you should just take every opportunity there is out there. I have wasted and still do waste all my life practically doing sod all.
I worked in factories part of my life and hating it until i got a job at a Parking company, doing repairs, cleaning and collecting money in a garage.I am outdoors, meeting new people daily from around the world, and getting good pay!And i'm loving it! People don't think much of us, but iam laughing all the way to the bank
good logic man im currently looking for a job with computers but were i am the people are uptight and only hire others with education and what not that's why im doing my I.T2 course
Hi Pete, I love my current job, but my first love is Computer's too mate. But my problem is I'm 10 years older then you, & been into Computers for 25 years. So all I can do now is work from home offering my experience & knowledge. Cause it can't be learnt overnite. Most of my work is word of mouth, cause they all trust me & my advice. Cheers mate
Pete, you probably don't know it, but this video iz rather impressive and carries a strong message. though it's in the FAB format, it's still a great message.
I don't agree with the bit about lying on your references. I DO check references when I employ people. And if someone has lied to me right at the beginning, that means they'll probably lie to me again.
In addition to asking people "What CAN you do?", I also ask them "What do you WANT to do?".
If someone seems passionate about helping people, they'll have a good shot at getting the job.
Thanks man, hey u know I miss the cooking vids you used to make. You can cook that's for sure and that's always a plus with the ladies, some wine and your good to go. lol. hope to see some new cooking videos if ya got the time. Cheers!
i work at target. its my first job and i work out back with all of the boxes and delivery shit. pretty painfull stuff lol much better than talking to customers tho haha
It sounds awkward but one of my dream jobs (since childhood up to now) is being a coach driver (these big busses - not sure if you call them coach there, here we call them travel-bus). Another dream since 2004 is to work and live in Australia, haha.
I checked Noosa at Google Earth ... must be a dream of a place.
Great story how you got the job. Sounds so much easier than when you're applying for a job here in Germany. We have too much bureacracy even for the jobsearch.
Your story is really interesting, FAB, but I think in the current recession it is a little harder at the moment. That's not to say it won't get better in the near future.
I'm not surprised you worked in health care. I knew you had a soft heart beneath that tough exterior!! :)
hmm im hating my job but im bit stuck in it.. im 17, left school early. left home, paying for my living, and im a 1st year mechanic aprentice earn shit alll money. what i really want to be doing is strange as it sounds but for the last 5 years, since i was 12 years old is to work at a hobby shop. whats yur thoughts? should i drop my aprentiship or stick at it just so i can fall back on to it later in life if i need to?
I'd say stick at it until you're done with your apprenticeship. Then you'll have something solid to fall back on if the hobby shop work doesn't pan out. At 17, you have plenty of time, but make sure that you finish your training.
Your job, dingo is one of the most important jobs in the world and I wholeheartedly take my hat off to you and others who are full-time carers. You have my utmost respect, always.
living the dream, heh maybe, i like my job and the people just it gets monotonous very quickly, but i can say i'd rather be dealing with music instead of what i do now, but i'm working on it and hopefully don't have to work my entire life.
I hate slavin' my ass off for a dollar.... in a job i hate but that seems like all i can get (crap jobs) and I've never found that dream job....been lookin though...still lookin' .....i thought i found it a couple times but was mistaken...i hope i find it one day i dont know how long i can keep doin this but i got 2 kids a misses and a house that depends on me and i dont wanna let them go without...just go do it...i wish it was that easy otherwise i would.
awesome video man! indeed i fucking hate my job, its the most unhappy i been in years, but there's no work here really, so in order to keep a roof for my family i suck it up, but damn man i really hate my job!!!! lol
