your comparing hitler to rattle snakes? i know you well enough to know mr. bill you are wiser than to make that mistake. we know the dangers they cause yes. but what of the benefits? you cant tell me there are no benefits to rattlesnakes being a part of the environment. you cant tell me you condone rattlesnake genocide can you? sure thinning their numbers can be beneficial much like thinning out any animal in season. but it seems to me you will kill any that enter your line of sight.

I do not nor am able after living a life time with this danger, seeing them kill cattle yearly, dogs which were my friends, and neighbor's little girl that took the farm away to save her. My question then back is how many land mines are a safe number?

How many Hitlers are acceptable?

to wipe them out is of course wrong, but total control in zoos and sceince labs should be premitted, not never allowed to room free. Just to dangerous,

Bill thank you for replying, i know you are a wise man, but in this instance im going to have to disagree sometimes i believe there are necessary evils in life. in fact a life without pain is not a life worth living to me, because without pain i would never appreciate what i have. i myself am thankful for the pain i receive in life.anyway thank you again mr. When I was little, I lived with my grandparents. We raised a few small animals, lived near the woods, had a garden, & there were large patches of wild blackberries nearby. This was all prime rattlesnake country. My grandmother carried a garden hoe with her on all her walks. If she saw a rattlesnake, it was DEAD. She wasn't a snake hater. She was protecting her grandkids & livestock. Modern people are too urban & don't see clearly on this subject.

Out here, snakes are an enemy, Our neighbors 7 year old girl was bitten for stepping out her front door. she was unable to take the normal anti venom. A flight for life to denver saved her life but poor insurance, cost the family their farm.

I have many such stories of the evil Rattle Snakes.

yep, also heared about raw steak, and of course other native and home

remedies, problem is if true, 8,000 would not die from rattler bites, in north and south

America. sure wish it were easy but Mother nature makes killers and prey

and we are prey to the rattler

you can make more than that at $37 a pound for snake meat.

we lost 6 calves this last year and nieghbor had his horse bitten.

I killed only one this year but maybe 1/2 dozen got into high weeds before I could make them good snakes. Wife got the biggest one of the year with 13 buttons.

they are an enemy like the terrorists, you never know when is going to under foot.

and they breed like rabbits.

I have seen rattlers crawl up to a baby calf and kill it, then crawl off, a rattle snake as all snakes, know the difference between a baby and an adult animal, so I see this as killing for pleasure, the Bible speaks of only snakes with great wisdom in the garden with Adam and Eve. bottome line is I have heard experts say rattle snakes will not do this or that thing, and every time, on the range, I have seen rattle snakes make them liers.

I'm not above killing a rattlesnake. Past employment in the oilfield & living in a rural home I have killed more than others have. Having said that, I'm not sure man has the wisdom of knowing the outcome of an intentional exterminating any species of life animal or plant. Man is the only life on the planet that can contemplate exterminating other species or or even other cultures of man.

I live in Az with more venomous snakes than I care to think of, including the deadly red and green mojave rattler's that carry a neurotoxin. I am sad you have laid a friend to rest from a snake but as for Az, (We have more rattlers than just about anywhere) the things are just not much of a problem here.

I seen them murder way to many livestock, pets and yes I have buried people murdered by them

Wow! I only seen one snake, but it was a garden snake harmless. Can you kill the rattlers and eat them or are they poisonous? If you could eat them just chop off the head and bury it and have yourself a fine meal and make snake skin boots or wallets. lol

well if I was hungry I might eat them but can't get past the snake part sorry, plus I work part time for a ranch so I get near freen fresh beef to eat, thank GOD.

Over the years, A Sharp shovel is always a good thing to have in the car,

But as I get older, I do not like to get close to the dang things, so I went to my kid hood weapon, a red rider BB gun. kills them dead with a couple shots to the head. But even then do not handle them, we had a local kill one only to be bitten by a dead snake. as they can still bite hours after they die. near demonic things for sure.

I own 2 snakes,one is a carpet python,and the other a western diamond back rattlesnake (check out my profile pic). This snake is in a re-enfourced vivarium,and granted,it aint a very nice snake,it strikes at the glass ALOT! Buti dnt see why u hate them so much? If you leave them alone,they wont bother you!!!!! You blame rattlers for killing things,but what about your countrys policy on guns eh? More ppl are killed by firearms a year than by rattlesnakes!!!!

I honor your wisdom, I do not kill non poisonous snakes, as we have monster coach whip snakes that grow to 15 feet or so and are hell on mice, and can crawl fater than a man can run for short distance. but if it endangers me, my family, friends, and pets not counting catle I draw the line.

Nice video Mr. Bill. I lived in Northern California a few years back. A nest of Northern pacific rattlers lived not too far by our house.

There were so many we had to go rattlesnake hunting a few times. Nasty little critters.

rattle snakes are one of just a few out of thousands of animals that kill things they do not plan to eat.

We buried my best friend cousin killed by a rattler, the anti venom does not always work.
