@kiccopg the main low plant in the front middle is hygrophila polysperma, the tall grass is twisted vallis, the larger green leaved plant is hygrophila corymbosa and the red plant is red temple plant.
this is an old scape in this tank, if you check a video on my channel called "New Plants and Update 01/12/11" i have named all the plants in my current scape
@jnrivers no problems at all, the tetras are faster than the apisto's and dont take much to make them move away, just helps stop the pairs of apisto/kribensis from turning on each other - u can see in one of my newer videos of this tank that there is a lot of bogwood in this tank that helps create lots of separate territories for the various dwarf cichlids
@vinniedurrant Thanks! the wood is just standard bog wood from my LFS, i think it looks lighter because its been in my tank for a long(ish) time and i use seachem purigen in the filter that soaks up the tannins that the wood contains/releases, it was much darker when i initially put it in my tank
@barka052 Thanks!, the plant taking up much of the foreground is a hygrophila polysperma and the taller plant on the right is hygrophila guyenisis, the grasses are a mix of twisted vallis and giant vallis
@mangoldm Thanks for the kind words, its my first attempt at a fully planted tank and im still finding my feet and just starting to venture away from the easier plants, ive just ordered some Hemianthus callitrichoides which im hoping to get to spread out as a nice carpet along the front of the tank. The camera was my friends fujifilm finepix, i think they are pretty cheap and i was impressed with the quality compared to my more expensive camera that didnt seem to like focusing through the glass
You should be really proud of this high standard of work and dedication shown. One of the best most natural looking tanks I have ever seen.

Nice tank but those are Tetras. Thought I saw a single Cichlid.
jnrivers 4 months ago
@jnrivers the tetras are dither fish, various dwarf cichlids hiding among the plants/wood

@mbezik How are the Cichlids treating the Tetras?

Hi, nice tank , what wood is that? it doesn't look as dark as my wood, does it stain the water?
