i actualy liked it :) i thought it would be another cheesey animation but it was actualy quite good :D and that gate looks like a portal to the nether from minecraft lol (i just had to point that out)

Yes Martin, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this short film of you very much! The TZ episode I mentioned was one of the original series (black and white film), had roughly a similar idea like your story, but I forgot the name of the episode as I watched it long time ago.

Thanks for your interest. No, It all actually started with just the title from the Alphaville song and then the idea for some kind of gate was inspired from the movie Stargate. Would be cool to see the Twilight episode you're thinking about tho. Do you know the name of it?

i think this short is what we should all shoot for. the story is very simple, but shows a range of skill. the special effects make it all that much more pleasant on the eye :)
awesome short, everything is working together beautifully.
i am guessing that the rendering and effects were done after AM?

Thanks for your kind words. I did tests on the effects in pre-production (class 5) to see if I could pull it off, but the rendering and the finalizing of the effects was done after Class 6 was over.
