Wow........ I cried:/ I wish I had a grandma and grandpa who loved me and cooked with me :/ I miss my grandma:/ seven years without a loving grandparent:/
@missrocknrockstaaa It cooled Red bean paste or Azuki bean paste. You can check it on Wikipedia. Well...Because this is sweet, I do not like it so much.
Thank you for posting! I am very much into Japanese culture and cooking in general and to peak in on it like this is wonderful... I do not understand a single word unfortunately... yet, but I am glad that the kids are included to keep the tradition going... however that machine... how recent have they been out and used in Japan?
Shin~~ Could you leave me the recipe or something.. here in America they only have the recipe where you microwave the mochiko. It is so nasty! I just bought two fresh ones from a mochi store and I wish I can make it here in San Francisco. I lived in Osaka with Tachibana-san in Abeno-ku for the summer. t..t please and thank you
hey it is very similar to rice cake making at my hometoo except we make the chinese version using crushed peanuts, sesame and sugar as the main ingredient inside the mochi..... glutinous rice flour instead of the actual rice because we have no machine to mix it lol...but good video...
