When you use the string to strengthen your shoulders, actually the shoulders is pulling up instead of pulling down. When swimming, we hold the water downside so I suggest that we should tie the string on the ceiling and practice that position. What do you think?
Tim, Great question! The EVF is the opposite of pulling. There's a picture of Dara Torres in an article by the New York Times (she's holding weight plates in an EVF position). I'm going to do another video and go over this important idea. Thanks Tim! Coach T.
