  • with the second cube you've given the scene a soul. xD

  • @REDxFROG yeah - really great - nice catch ;)

  • 1. Is this easy or very hard ?

    2. How can I do this in 3DS Max ?

  • that is awesome

  • great.

  • nice!!!

  • second cube....

  • @onlyCreativity - lol yep. i spent hours trying to get that one to line up. it still bugs me.

  • @datafork

i don't know how this works( cause i use 3ds max, reactor, realflow,..), but can't you copy the animation of the second cube and replace(more forward)?

  • @onlyCreativity - i don't know if it was my version of maya or what. but when i tried just copying them over the blocks would completely repel eachother. so i tried to create them individually with the same setting and they all worked except for that 2nd one.

  • I think you applied reaction to only one block and then copied it multiple times to create the illusion of falling blocks in such nice fashion.

  • Which program have you used? It is fantastic

  • thanks! it's maya.

  • nice

  • nice man

  • but wat u did u use 4 dat initial movement of d blocks wer dey roll n fall in line...fields r manual key frame...dat part s really amazin...cud u tell me

  • i added a little bit of a spin to each individual block with maya's dynamics engine.

  • was dat usin MEL scriting/expressions

  • na just applying gravity to the individual blocks, and playing with the settings in maya.

  • Hi, this is awesome. I used gravity too...but my blocks go through each other when they hit the bottom plane(passive body) and all blocks are set to active rigid bodies. Would appreciate your advise. Thanks

  • hi sorry for the delay. maya is wierd sometimes and the dynamics won't work exactly how you've set it up. probably gliches. best way to get it to work is to start from square one. apply the rigid body to the plane/surface, and add the gravity to the object. as soon as you can get that to work you can work add on from there. otherwise always refer to old trusty f1(help).

  • I used Maya Dynamics & Final Gather.

  • Nice! :)

  • Nice stuff, man... You do a lot of 3d work?

  • good work. I really like this
